I will repeat what i have before on this blog.
THE ONLY JUSTIVICATION FOR WAR IS DEFENCE.
Unlike all the American wars which were carried out against little countrys who could not defend themselfs, & for what ? To install a central bank & plunder the wealth of those countries.
Fuck the EVIL BASTARDS IN THE US WHO ARE BEHIND THESE UNNESSARY WARS.
I also pray that the service men & women in the US, will one day wake up , & refuse to go abroad to “MURDER” innocent people, for the profit of the few.

Sorry for the spelling mistakes, but this subject makes me mad.

      Nov 24, 2017 24:56 PM

Okay, I guess that we are kind of on the same page

The politicians that foment these worthless wars (every one in my 62 years of life on this earth are worthless) are clearly guilty of war crimes and one day will answer to God for their brutality, however they never pull the trigger and never unjustly kill people that do not need killing – that is done by our military men and women. The culpability for results of these unjust wars is certainly less clear for the military then those that create the war but I personally would not want to be involved in any of them as it seems obvious to me that I would be engaged in unjust killing.

Big Al, I appreciate your appreciation of the troops. Coming back from overseas during Vietnam, I was not treated well in the San Francisco Airport. In fact, I was instructed to remove my uniform and change into civilian clothes at my first opportunity by my superiors to avoid any incidents. I did so in the restroom at the airport.

Even though I now see the error of the Vietnam war by our government, I still am proud to have served. I spent 4 years in the Navy and later, 20 years in the Army reserves and it has been a privilege to have worn the uniform, as did my father, all my brothers and so many other of my relatives. Thank you for your wonderful show and to all of your contributors. I have learned so much from you all.

      Pardu,

I just deleted a comment from a friend who asked how many people you killed and why. I want you to know that a comment like that is short sited. It is easy to live in another country that has never faced the issues that we have dealt with, in some cases inappropriately, and throw mud at soldiers who were drafted and followed the orders of their superiors who who they believed were correct.

Sorry Irish, but I cannot condone smearing soldiers who simply follow rules. You notice, I hope, that Pardu later realized the error of the actions of the U.S.

        Nov 24, 2017 24:02 PM

Hi AL. I simply asked pardu three simple questions , i DID NOT smere him or any other soldier with my questions. So i would suggest you put my question back up so that pardu, can answer for himself.
pardu…I would suggest you tell AL you are quite able to answer for yourself.

          Nov 24, 2017 24:03 PM

I will if you answer my question to you.

            Al
Guards at Auschwitz were just following orders too.
            Yet hunted down for decades.

            Hi AL…Check below.

To answer Irish Tony, I can tell him that I was fortunate never having had to take anyone’s life. In all of the years of my service, those I have worked with were high quality people. Our job was primarily to protect our forces against any efforts of the enemy to cause damage. We placed ourselves into the mindset of the enemy, looked for our own weak points, then advised those in charge were our weak points were and how to strengthen those deficiencies.

These efforts, I would like to believe, may have preserved the lives of our own forces and we were never in a position to cause damage to the enemy other than to prevent them from damaging us. It was a good assignment, one I felt morally good about.

Big Al, I answered Irishtony’s question that I assumed he wanted to know. As to his first comment about only acting in defense, I agree. If he read one of my earlier comments a few weeks ago, he would have seen that I support what the founders wanted, no entangling alliances, and acting strictly in defense. I also agree with the injunction the Lord gave in the scriptures on acting in defense.

When I joined the military, it was to offer up my services as an act of patriotism and the oath I took was to defend the constitution and lawful orders of my superiors. No military person is required to follow an unlawful order, which dispels the comment about guards at Auschwitz. I hope this helps clear the air on his concerns.

            Nov 25, 2017 25:38 PM

I have to thank you for your comment Pardu.

I just get kind of emotional on the issue of soldiers. Sorry but it is what it is.

          IRISH……is a good man……..kind and generous ……….JMO

            Nov 25, 2017 25:35 PM

But wait, there’s more! Have you forgotten about the pictures from Las Vegas?

Of course Irish is a good man. He just gets pissed like all of us. I will say that after a long distance conversation with his doctor, I do realize that he is certifiably insane and is not allowed in public areas

    Nov 24, 2017 24:46 PM

    Mr. Irish,

Opine, if your would, the reasons for Protestants killing Catholics and visa versa in your country.

      Nov 24, 2017 24:07 PM

AL..Its the crown verses the vatican , & bullyboys behind the scenes making lots of money from the bullying……..A bit like the US.

And It all follows from Henry 8 vs. Pope, and in 1536 sacking the Irish RC monasteries and taking their land.
The Irish have long held the grudge, even if they have forgotten the original cause.

All Henry wanted was a male heir, even though his choice of women was terrible
and his lifestyle deplorable. It was and still is perceived a royal duty to produce a male heir.

      Nov 24, 2017 24:21 PM

Victoria and HRM Elizabeth II was not a male heir. Females are OK now.

    Question:
Is it the concept of monarchy or the concept of marriage at fault?

(Henry XIII actually had several male off-spring outside of marriage.)

I was spit on in college even though I was to be drafted anyway. When some hippy asked me how many baby did I kill I said just one. And I punched him in the jaw. Then I punched his boyfriend. Guess what? I think all these wars are illegal as hell. But NEVER blame us who serve. In the end we are the force that keeps the NWO in line. See they are scared of us…..

Big Al, I am burying my father on Sunday, 26 November 2017. He was a US Army Signal Corps officer in Vietnam in 1969. He rose to become a Lieutenant Colonel before he retired from the US Army. As far as I know, he never killed anyone; he was support. He was a patriot, a soldier, and a Christian.

I am a retired US Army Signal Corps National Guard officer. I am Signal Corps, and I have been to Jordan, Egypt, Kuwait, and Iraq. I have never killed anyone; I was support for my unit. Some did break down doors at 2am to find the people trying to kill us with bombs with copper plates attached. We lost 8 people out of 4,500 in nine months, some to bombs, some to medical problems. The North Carolina National Guard was not in Iraq to kill people. We were there to rebuild Baghdad after the regime change. In Jordan we were there to aid refugees coming over the Jordanian-Iraqi border fleeing Saddam Hussein. In Egypt we were there to teach the Egyptians how to transport heavy items like military equipment. I am a patriot, a soldier, and a Christian.

If people disagree with the end results of governments like the US sending soldiers overseas, take it up with the elected and unelected officials, not the troops. The troops signed on the dotted line and do what they are told, even unto death. It is the leadership, civilian, not military, that puts soldiers in harm’s way. Trying to punish the individual soldiers accomplishes nothing but disgracing the originator’s thoughts and actions. The world has onion layers of reality, and antagonistic efforts would be better spent getting rid of the globalists and totalitarians as well as philosopher-kings in ivory towers.

As always, respect to your program and the many opinions, Big Al.

I couldn’t listen beyond his comment about the Vietnam war being justified. It is really easy for shallow thinking people to proclaim a war justified when they watch from afar and their families aren’t receiving napalm, bombs, agent orange and foreign troops killing them by the millions.

Al please do a quick read of the just war conditions contained in the Catholic Catechism and then reassess these wars from our Lord’s perspective.

    Nov 25, 2017 25:26 AM

    Al:
Thanks for the interview. The guy has some perspectives worth listening to. Much about Vietnam in the comments today. What a wide range of perspectives. I’ve got some also.
I was in Vietnam three times: 1966 as a civilian construction worker, 1968 as a member of the US Army’ 1st. Air Cavalry Division and I visited Saigon briefly in 1970 again as a civilian.
I’ve read almost everything I’ve come across on the history and especially the “American War”. The subject certainly isn’t as black or white as many posters would have you believe. The Vietnamese were mistreated, used and brutalized by their French colonial masters for many decades before the Americans got involved.
I believe a real tipping point could have been reached after WWII in Geneva had Ho Chi Minh and his communist nationalists been given free rein. It’s anybody’s guess how the Catholics would have faired but a united Vietnam would likely have ensued. Instead, we backed the imposition again of the French who reinstated their colonial regime. From that point on we all know about the 1954 French defeat at Dien Bien Phu and our increased involvement to save ‘south Asia from the communists’, which lead to our massive buildup in ’65/66/67.
For the record, the vast majority of Americans killed nobody! Numbers of people in the line units were probably 15%. Those people, when they had to were killing in order to keep from being killed. Simply trying to survive and get back home became everyone’s motivation. Most of the enemy death was the result of Artillery and aircraft weaponry from B-52’s to fighters with close ground support efforts. After 1968 and Nixon’s election it really became confusing. American units were being withdrawn and ARVN units were taking over the active fight. Americans began wondering if they were going to be the last one out or the last one to die. Many still persevered through the tough years of ’70-72.
Finally, let’s call a spade a spade. The cruelty and brutality of the other side’s efforts to control the people in the countryside knew no bounds. Both sides actually had assassination teams working overtime. After the war, thousands were held in “education centers” for many years and many died there. Thousands more died trying to leave the country. It was a sad and bloody ending but thankfully it arrived.

    Nov 25, 2017 25:02 PM

The communists governments in Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos killed three million of their own people after 1975-never heard a peep from the anti-war crowd who thought they were taking the high ground. I was there in the villages with the Regional Forces. THe Viet Cong tortured/killed 60,000 south vietnamese school teachers/government officials throughout the course of the war. Before you take the high ground, find a south vietnamese refugee and they will tell you the same thing. The Stalinists won the war there along with the Khmer Rouge, thanks to fools who supported them outside the country.

      the co van,

I appreciate your comment and I appreciate your service Sir! Your comment is why I get pissed off when people put down American service personnel. Theory is a great thing but it will never surpass personal experience.

    Nov 25, 2017 25:02 PM

pardu…..Thank You for answering my questions, respect to you.
I dont know why AL reacted the way he did, i can only assume he thought i was going to be judgemental towards you.
I would still like Al to post my questions, so those on here know what the fuss was about.

      Nov 25, 2017 25:12 PM

I have no idea how to get it out of the “trash” By the way, have you ever seen the movie or read the book “Patriot Games”? We all watched it last night. Mistakes made all over the world, Mr. Irish, and that will never stop!
