MXSG waking from it’s slumber.
Yes sir. They have their 2nd (and much larger) Merrill Crowe processing plant on site, the heap leach is finally working correctly, and they’ll be producing gold far under the costs of most producers (in the $450-$500 per ounce costs). They’ve been confirming 4 g/t gold which is much higher than most heap leach operations in the 1-2 g/t range.
MXSG took a huge hit in 2017 because it took them all year to figure out the best production process and get the kinks worked out. 2018 they are going to finally start raising some eyebrows….

FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) — With the eurozone economy showing strong growth, the European Central Bank left its interest rates and stimulus measures unchanged Thursday as it looks ahead to the delicate matter of ending its bond-purchase program next year.
The Bank of England also left its key rate unchanged at 0.5 percent amid uncertainty about how Britain’s departure from the European Union, expected in March, 2019, will affect the economy.
Together, Thursday’s decisions show how the eurozone and Britain are moving more slowly than the U.S. Federal Reserve as the world’s leading central banks start to gingerly withdraw the massive stimulus measures they deployed against the 2007-2009 financial crisis and the subsequent Great Recession.
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — The artificial intelligence researcher who called AI the new electricity is now trying to make sure every company is plugged in.
Stanford professor Andrew Ng (ING), one of the leading figures in AI , is launching a startup called Landing.AI (LANDing-dot-A-I). Its aim initially is to help manufacturing companies use computer algorithms to cut costs, improve quality control, remove supply-chain bottlenecks, and more.
Landing.AI’s first strategic partner is Foxconn, the Taiwanese manufacturing giant that helps Apple build iPhones. The company is helping implement a system to spot defects, such as tiny particles or scratches on camera lens units. Currently, thousands of people work to manually inspect such parts. Ng says the AI-powered system can work 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and be more accurate than people.
“AI will transform manufacturing. That’s just a fact of life,” Ng told reporters at a briefing on Tuesday in San Francisco. His small team of about two dozen employees based in Palo Alto, California, hopes to accelerate companies’ ability to take advantage of the latest techniques in machine learning.

(BHS) (KXPLF) Bayhorse End Of Year Review – Projected 2018 Silver Production
December 13, 2017
Bayhorse CEO Graeme O’Neill commented on operations this past year:
“With recent commissioning of the Ore-Sorter, the Bayhorse Mine is now fully operational” “Through January 2018, we will upgrade 1300 tons of stockpiled mineralized material through the Ore-Sorter. Before year end a portion of the upgraded material will be shipped to Mineral Solutions of Coeur D’Alene, Idaho, with the balance by the end of January 2018.”

I’ve been a fan & shareholder of Bayhorse for a while, and have tried to cover their progress on the KER regularly over the last few years as they moved from exploration to development and then started to implement “Dense Media Separation” technology and “Ore-Sorting” technology to upgrade their ore to direct shipping ore so it can be transported directly to the processing center.
It is nice to see them finally reach the point where they just graduated from Developer to Producer.
I can’t remember the last time there was a new Silver producer – pretty neat.

December 14, 2017
“The upcoming exploration program is founded on a back-to-basics review and reanalysis of the large historical database of geophysics, geochemistry and drilling on the Platosa Property,” stated Ben Pullinger, Vice President Geology.
“This analysis has already successfully identified new prospective targets at Jaboncillo and San Gilberto, which have been confirmed by field mapping. We are confident that this methodology and the improved understanding of the regional system surrounding the Platosa Mine will lead to positive exploration results in 2018. ”

(EXN) (EXLLF) Excellon results from this years program were quite impressive compared to many of the Silver exploration stocks that are flash in the pan companies or even most of the larger Silver producers.
I’ve seen people getting giddy over 90 – 200 g/t silver hits on many of the smaller companies. The only other companies I see pulling these kinds of grades consistently are Alexco and Silvercrest.

> 1,600 g/t Ag, 6.4% Pb and 8.7% Zn over 3.70 metres in EX17UG325.
I should add that Impact Silver has had some very high grade intercepts as well over the last 2 years.
Excellon, Alexco, Silvercrest, and Impact have the highest grade hits for the Jr Silver miners, and yet many investors barely even notice these stellar results.
Instead most herd-think investors in 2017 went hog wild for a number of Gold & Base Metals companies that have had OK drill hits, or ironically (and most illogically) the most investor excitement this year came when there weren’t any drill results or assays at all (like what we saw with GT Gold, Arizona Silver, Novo, Garibaldi, etc…). What a weird year 2017 was for the miners.
When more eyeballs and analysts start following the gold/silver miners again, maybe more people will get behind the companies actually hitting paydirt and locking up ounces in the ground over dreamy narratives….. Just a thought.
Ex, +1
