I insist on everyone on our blog being polite. I would not agree that even a ten yer old knows that there was Russian collusion of a devious nature between the Trump campaign and the Russians. Let me elaborate and say that I don’t have all the answers and I am not privy to the whole and true story. That is the exact reason that I value opinions from folks like Harlan. And, that is the exact reason that I always listen to both sides of every single story. Anyone who does not listen with an inquisitive mind to both sides of a story will never know the truth. An individual can never ever let his/her emotions get into the way of his/her search for the truth.
I really never thought that either you, Jerry, or you Chartster would do that. Gentlemen, please open the inquisitive portin of you brains.

The biggest problem is that American voters are dumb. They nominate bad candidates like Dirty Donald and HRC. And they fall into the trap of thinking there are only 2 options, (R) or (D), and are not willing to vote for 3rd party candidates.
American voters don’t really nominate the candidates imo………that’s a function of the party hacks and I agree with you that the poor candidates are the result.

1) The large majority of the smart have been brainwashed and/or bought off;
2) The minority of the smart with integrity are silenced or shouted down by the mass media, and the dumb fall for it.
3) The mass media, in all its permutations, is controlled by a very small, tight-knit group which does not like the dominant culture, and so is remaking it to their preferences.

But all this too may be in the early stages of passing, judging from the recklessness of the mass media, DNC, spooks, etc.

trump’s staffing issue is a joke. I think trump is afraid of his own shadow and his chief attribute in choosing a body for office is loyalty IMO. Pompeo was perhaps suited to the CIA but isn’t the personality I’d have running around the world representing this country. It’s possible he may not even be confirmed.
As far as cabinets, I remember reading that Obama’s cabinet was picked by someone who worked at Goldman Sacks. I thought that weird and one of Obama’s first failures. Who picks trump’s candidates, no one knows but it’s a weird process also……….

Thanks Al and Harlan for some reasonable thinking about our situation. Trump is a showman, if nothing else, and my view is that this North Korea summit is nothing but show business to distract us from our real problems.
As Harlan mentioned a 20 trillion debt and a trillion annual deficit when we have only a 14 trillion economy is what will bite us down the line. We are ruining our nation from within as nations often do when there are no spending limits.
