    Off topic:
I go not use Twitter, Facebook, Google for searches, and other social media because I do not like the data they keep on me, and the abuse of pop-up ads.
I consider these organizations merely left-wing leeches, who will slowly destroy civilised society.
NOW the abuse is clear and obvious….
One day after what appeared to be a coordinated attack by media giants Facebook, Apple, Spotify and Google on Alex Jones, whose various social media accounts were banned or suspended in a matter of hours, the crackdown against alternative media figures continued as several Libertarian figures, including the Ron Paul Institute director, found their Twitter accounts suspended.

It is long past time these social media groups were regulated like utilities and/or broken up for this attack on free speech.

Did you know there is already a manipulation in effect of President Trump’s use of twitter?

Some re-tweets are already being suppressed!

As many in this forum know I live near Silicon Valley and communicate regularly with many working in computer technology. (mostly ex-students of mine.)

It is a major topic of discussion as to which (if any) cryptocurrency will dominate the system.
Obviously BTC has first mover advantage and also the advantage of being a major vehicle for entry into other cryptos.
BTC has a significant problem with speed of confirmation for transactions, but it is possible that the lightning network and also atomic swaps may ameliorate this situation.
However, BTC has a problem in sustaining its blockchain ultimately as the cost of mining becomes too expensive.
Clearly the diversity of currencies and tokens, with their multitudinous varieties of use are most interesting and may cause many to have long lives. Most, however, are merely temporary frauds, which will soon disappear.
LTC and BCH are interesting in their competition for a currency for transactions.

Ultimately, as I take a census among developers, however, it appears that they expect a government sponsored cryptocurrency (not Ripple, a crypto developed by bankers), but a cryptocurrency or currencies based on distributed media using a different approach which is much less power-consumptive; perhaps based on hashgraph or similar.

EOS is reporting a large number of transactions.

Why? What for? This smells to me (CFS).

Cryptocurrencies overall are looking weak lately, and like they may break to new near-term lows….
