Monarch Gold – A Comprehensive Overview Of The Projects and Strategy To Get Into Production Of >100,000 oz/year

Cory
March 14, 2019

Monarch Gold has been brought up on this show a couple times by the newsletter writers that I trust. I got in touch and after a full overview from the President and CEO Jean-Marc Lacoste I decided to bring him on for a full overview of the story. The Company has a large land package in the Abitibi Mining Camp in Quebec consisting of projects in all stages of exploration.

Jean-Marc and I discuss the total land package by looking at each project and the plans to move it forward. As well as the mills that the Company controls and the funding options available to move the more advanced Wasamac project into production.

Please let me know what you think of Monarch by sharing what you like, what you think they need to do to move forward, and any questions you have for Jean-Marc. Email me at Fleck@kereport.com.

Click here to visit the Monarch Gold website. Also click here to read over the full Company presentation – I recommend checking out slide 4 to fully understand where the projects and mills are.

Chris touted this in his emails months ago. It’s been a money loser ever since. Sounds like a possibility if they ever do anything besides acquire more real estate. For now, it’s great for insiders.

I’ve invested in Monarques Gold (MQR) previously and liked their pick up of the 2 mines from Richmont during it’s merger with Alamos. When they paused production I stepped out temporarily to invest in other companies, but have been eyeballing it again to jump back in, because I liked their exploration projects before that acquisition happened.

So here’s a bizzaro story for investors of Impact Silver and Energold Drilling Corp to mullo over on a PDAC Coat mystery misplacement from a company officer.

      Never a dull moment….

That was the “investor relations” guy before he was promoted and should now be given toilet cleaning duties. A dirtball is a dirtball no matter the station or income.

          Mar 14, 2019 14:35 AM

I guess he’s still the IR guy.

            Mar 14, 2019 14:36 AM

I believe he is the CFO as he is active over a ceo.ca on the blogs and my buddy Kerem just interviewed him and Fred recently.

The Next Bull Market Move Interview – CEO Fred Davidson and CFO Jerry Huang of Impact Silver

Maybe Fred & Jerry could do a daily editorial here soon to clear up the issue and explain what happened. (?)

I’m willing to listen to both sides of a story and let someone defend themselves, but it sounds bad based on the security tapes that were reviewed and that the coat was returned with everything missing after purposely taking it home and flying with it to Vancouver. Still, people should be innocent until proven guilty.

It would also be good to get an update on the drilling schedule with IPT from a geological and company perspective.

            Mar 14, 2019 14:51 AM

Full disclosure – I’m a happy IPT shareholder and wish them only the best of success.

However, if Jerry did do something that questionable, then it should be addressed. We all put our hard-earned money into companies and want the people managing it to operate with integrity.

            Mar 14, 2019 14:10 PM

Yes, CFO is the promotion I was talking about.

            Mar 14, 2019 14:35 PM

Got it. I guess he’s now both the CFO and IR guy simultaneously.

I was hoping he was going to respond today over at ceo.ca, but maybe he was advised not to respond publicly, which would be understandable.

            https://ceo.ca/ipt

Regardless, It seems like it would be a good idea to clear the air on the incident.

            Mar 14, 2019 14:14 PM

The guy seems very guilty based on that story so it would be interesting to hear him try to explain it away.

            Thank goodness it wasn’t Fred!

            Mar 14, 2019 14:57 PM

            Here is Jerry’s response:

@j3rry Ladies and gentlemen of the investment community, there is a large misunderstanding here. As with most things in life, there are two sides of story and here is mine. I hope those of you who has met or known me over the years can attest to my character.

I dropped by the Cormark event on Mar 5 (Tues) after 3 other events that evening for a nightcap and to see some friends on Bay street. In the better days, Cormark used to cover Energold $EGD and has many Sprott members which we are still in regular conversation with.

Upon arrival around 11pm since I was not on the RSVP list, I presented my business card and had to wait to receive approval from Cormark event organizers. Upon doing that, they attached the card to my jacket and gave me a coat check ticket. The event was well attended and I speak to many of our investors and contacts in Toronto. I had drinks throughout the evening and likely had one too many.

Fast forward 3 hours later around 3am I was leaving the event and definitely intoxicated. As I gave my coat check ticket back they handed and put on me a jacket very similar to my own. I vaguely remember then looking on the coat rack myself for my jacket and taking it as well. It was 3AM after many drinks, you have to forgive me for being vague but one thing I did not do is swipe someone else’s jacket intentionally.

After leaving the venue I hopped into the waiting Uber and headed home. Time was just around 3AM.

Next day I had a full day of conference but realized I had an extra jacket. Contents were not there except for the business cards belonging to a member of a local team. Amongst my busy schedules of work and conference follow ups I simply forgot about the matter thinking I will return to Vancouver and return the jacket as I recall members of the company were based in Vancouver.
            My mistake.

By Sunday I was emailed by the restaurant and organizers who explained the situation to me. I promptly reply and suggested I ship the coat back immediately at my expense. I dropped off the jacket on Monday for shipping back and included a small monetary compensation surpassing of replacement costs of car keys and called all the related parties to offer my sincere apologies.

It was an honest mistake and I swear with my conscience I did not take someone’s jacket from the rack nor did I do so. It was handed to me.

I have to remind everyone again that these are allegations and I am presenting my side of the story. Am happy to speak further with any stakeholders and/or investors alarmed by this. This is my personal affairs at best and certainly do not represent the companies I have the privilege to work for or represent.

I have always acted in my personal life and professional life with the utmost integrity and respect for investor confidence and trust. Those of you who has known me for the past decade can attest that I have always delivered on my words and come through on promises and follow ups.

This was an unfortunate misunderstanding that I have done my best to try to rectify with the parties involved and I sincerely hope those of you reading this can see my side of the story.

I’m glad Jerry addressed it head on, and everyone deserves the right to share their side of the story.

Hopefully, moving on to bigger and better things.

            Not Me……….OOTB……… 🙂

            Mar 14, 2019 14:09 PM

haha! No not you OOTB. 🙂

            Mar 14, 2019 14:10 PM

A kind response coming in from Brandon at Fireweed Zinc regarding the matter.

            _________________________________________

@Brandon – “I’m going to go ahead and believe @J3rry over IKN. I’ve left with someone else’s coat a few times in my life, once at Roundup and also at PDAC. The much simpler, albeit less sensational, explanation is that it was a mistake. These things happen at 3am.”

            https://ceo.ca/ipt?fe54a4bb7e4e

            Mar 14, 2019 14:22 PM

His drunkenness is probably his best defense but I wouldn’t sell a single share over it even if I was sure of his guilt. In fact, I bought more today.

Leave it to Otto to stir the sh–.

            Mar 14, 2019 14:43 PM

Give me a break, (Jerry, not OOTB) fessed up about taking the coat because he was caught and they knew who he was. The only thing he was sorry about is that he was caught. To take someone else’s possessions whether you are drunk or not is a crime called theft.

            Mar 14, 2019 14:25 PM

The worst part is the video footage. “…(W)hile the coat-check staff member is distracted, deliberately swiping a second coat. He then immediately leaves the restaurant on his own with the two coats.”

Drunkenness could have easily caused him to do something that he normally wouldn’t but it doesn’t excuse it. In my experience, alcohol is a truth serum, i.e., nice drunks are nice people and mean drunks are mean people, etc.

            Mar 14, 2019 14:33 PM

@ Brandon, I wonder if when you left with someone else’s coat at 3 am. if you also had your own coat with you, I think not. That is not a kind reply but a stupid one. DT

        Mar 14, 2019 14:33 PM

Being intoxicated can mitigate intent, but normally you have to be so far drunk you don’t know right from wrong. Tough standard. It concerned me that it happened at all. I did move some of my shares as he was in a position of trust…as if there is a position of trust anymore.

        Mar 14, 2019 14:36 PM

Not scumbags. Just have a more correct definition of “National Emergency”.

          Mar 14, 2019 14:06 PM

I guess a million more illegals a year…..is not an emergency of national importance….

    Mar 14, 2019 14:20 PM

Use some of the funds to devlope a long range vaporizer. Wonder why they come to the US….hummm. Starving, no work, no housing, life threatened. Concentrate on why or who causes them to leave their homes.

    Mar 14, 2019 14:22 PM

    BINGO, David

    Mar 15, 2019 15:42 AM

MOre like Bongo……….If, a million people do not like their govt…….it is call revolt….pull up your pants or take what you are given. I think they like the govt benefits here in the USA FREESTUFFDOM …free everything , food , shelter, phones, healthcare and the more people in your house hold the more you get, and that includes the people who have not even live in the country, but are still in their native country.(like cousins, that get to be reported as dependent on the 1099 for Child tax credit ). …..what a game…..
I agree with BINGO……if, you are talking about the MIC……which would be the other group of scum bags, ….that we did not know existed with a BLACK BUDGET OF ,who knows how much …exceeding $21 Trillion unaccounted for money.(do not get confused with the deficit money)
Of course the scum bags congress know all about the CIA…..Like old Chuckie Schumer said…
No , rather than taking care of the business for the last 70 yrs….like the above National Emergency ….they like to pretend they are limiting the powers and keeping separation of power provided by the constitution …that has been aborted by past congresses..
And congress never has done their duty….for over a 100 yrs….Like creating a FAKE FED., which has caused all these problems to begin with….like printing all the money for free stuff, that exceeds the ability of the people to pay for at the time it was brought into existence , like balanced budgets…lol
I think you are barking up the wrong tree, when you think you are saving a people from hunger, work, housing and life …..Yes, the big picture is the forest, that has engulfed the USA FREESTUFF DOM….which only contributes to the DEBT, which the FED. is more than willing to loan some more fiat crap which can be created out of THIN AIR.
Of course we are talking about one group of politicians who like to think of themselves as doing the right thing…limiting the powers of a dictator….lol….
Congress is not doing their job now, and never has…….I think it time to get real and stop beating around the bushes , that surround the forest.
They come to the USAFREESTUFF DOM…..for the FREE STUFF…..You need to look at Michigan and see the FREE STUFF VILLE…of course some of the muslims have four wives to add to the more free stuff…..Better do your homework….before you are asking where can I go to get my free stuff.
RANT OF THE DAY………Not direct to any particular person….. 🙂

      Mar 15, 2019 15:31 AM

Immigrants fleeing from oppression did all that… my,my,my.

        Mar 15, 2019 15:53 AM

I think the original colonist came from fleeing oppression…..lol

          Mar 15, 2019 15:07 AM

The lefties don’t understand that there’s a right way and a wrong way to accept immigrants.
The central planners/shadow government subsidize illegal poor collectivists because they want more collectivism and poverty for the U.S.
If everyone is dependent on the government, they are much easier to control. Unlike the voters on the left, the leftists at the top know history and, therefore, know how to turn society on its head.

          Mar 15, 2019 15:11 AM

One more thing, a huge number of the immigrants of the past were dirt poor and were motivated by freedom alone, not welfare or any other unearned benefits.

            Mar 15, 2019 15:17 AM

            Matthew……..Well said………JMO

        Mar 15, 2019 15:22 AM

Maybe the big picture is just to much to handle…..
