        Kind of a goofy idea……….bondage forever….

          Apr 11, 2019 11:38 PM

Congress should be hung…….not allowing the kids to include these loans in a bankruptcy.

How about just hang the government people that signed loyalty oaths to Israel?

ah geez, Trump would have to hang too.

The country is run by traitors.

At Purdue it seems to be 8-15% of gross for 5-10 years, depending on major.
For most, it works out better than conventional student loans, which are a government program and are not dissolved by bankruptcy; forever a noose that has to be paid.
(And just wait if interest rates go up!)

            Apr 11, 2019 11:56 PM

            I agree…..govt program…..stink…..bondage forever….

Given the insolvency of the US, I believe we should limit aid solely to disasters and famines, but politicians like to spend our money, never theirs.

    Apr 11, 2019 11:53 PM

    No question about that!

Let’s see what happens when gold breaks below the 20 WMA.
It looks like momentum will will pickup to the downside, instead of sideways to down. The next week or two should tell the story if gold falls slowly down, or if it’s the big wash.
I think the big washout is looming.

You guys are funny. He was wrong all the way up and now a blip to the downside makes everything ok? GDX is up 30% since bottoming in September.

And the major lows? Oil tripled after he said it wasn’t going anywhere and the miners had their best run in decades while he did nothing but predict lower prices.
In fact, the miners STILL haven’t dropped back to the level that he thought was too expensive 3 years ago…

Doc, what do you think of Auryn Resources AUG and Klondike Gold KDKGF at current prices? Should we wait until gold goes to 1220-1250?

      Apr 11, 2019 11:35 PM

Pardu, I own AUG. The daily and weekly charts still look strong however the monthly chart is flashing a warning since we’re approaching the upper BB which would be at about $1.95. If we close this week where we are as regards price, we’ll have closed above the 200 week SMA for the first time in about one year. I’m not adding to my position at these levels anymore but will hope for the beginnings of a pullback in the next 2-3 weeks. The odds are with the stock moving a little higher over the next 10 trading days but then I would get cautious. KDKGF appears like it wants to remain in its’ weekly trasing range for awhile yet. Watch the monthly chart. The BBs are starting to narrow. Personally, I would wait until they’ve narrowed more before taking a position in the stock

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P610D1ufp5M

With regard to Assange, the kidnapping by UK cops for renditition to the US is interesting.
The U.S. is not charging Assange with charges of publishing classified material or ANY PUBLISHING CRIMES.
The US is charging Assange with conspiracy to spy; basicly that Assange gave Chelsea manning a program to help Manning break U.S. Government passwords on his computer.

This is interesting because such programs are easily accessible, especially on the dark web.
Clearly Assange’s trial, if there is one, will be held in camera (if he isn’t suicided) because the US, I suspect, cannot prove by legal means Assange helped Manning.
Manning served some years in jail(originally sentenced to 35 years), but his sentence was commuted by Obama to time served.

Wikileaks still has Podesta emails and lots of undisclosed Clinton , DNC, and Obama emails.
This could provide leverage for Assange, especially if Trump is serious about going after Hillary and sex trafficking crimes.

One QAnon poster says “They have the ultimate source, JA, for all Clinton information.”

However, do not expect anything to happen soon.
Julian Assange won’t appear in an American courtroom anytime soon

The arrest of Julian Assange in London on Thursday means that the WikiLeaks founder will likely face a U.S. trial. The Justice Department has charged him with conspiracy related to unlawful computer intrusion. But because of British criminal procedure, Assange’s extradition very likely won’t occur for a number of years.

Assange will first be tried in the English court system for skipping bail in 2012. That charge normally entails a sentence in the range of 6 weeks, but because the case has been referred to the Crown Court, Assange may face a sentence of up to one year if convicted.

When his British trial and sentence are completed, and the U.K. home secretary authorizes his extradition, Assange will almost certainly appeal the extradition order. And that’s where the delays are going to come into play.

Because of the sensitive legal questions of press freedom and due process, the English courts will likely grant him repeated leave to appeal to higher courts in the event of lower judges approving his extradition. And due to diverging English and U.S. legal interpretations of human rights and criminal conduct, that judicial approval cannot be taken for granted in the first place. But assuming lower courts do approve extradition, Assange’s appeal process may eventually reach the Supreme Court. Indeed, if Brexit is delayed significantly or even revoked, Assange may even be able to appeal to the European Court of Human Rights. The history of similar appeal processes means that Assange is unlikely to set foot on U.S. soil for a matter of years.

    Source: Washington Examiner.

CFS comment: The Washington Examiner may not be totally correct, since no publishing charges are involved.
U.K. courts are notoriously slow, but if Trump can pressure the UK enough to go into an embassy and extract Assange, then the U.S. can also pressure enough to get bail-jumping charges dropped.

Unless it’s 4D chess, as Chartster’s Sorcha Faal post near the bottom of the thread suggests.

I guess we’ll find out soon enough.

Trump better pull a rabbit out of his hat, because independents who supported him are becoming vocally critical.

          Mike Krieger’s no dummy:

“Though not surprising, it’s nevertheless extraordinary to watch Donald Trump publicly and shamelessly morph into a George W. Bush era neocon when it comes to foreign policy, and a CNBC stock market cheerleader when it comes to the economy. Just like Barack Obama before him, Trump talked a good populist game on two issues of monumental importance (foreign policy and the rigged economy), but once elected immediately turned around and prioritized the core interests of oligarchy.

Trump doesn’t even give lip service to big picture populist topics anymore unless they’re somehow related to the culture war, which works out perfectly for the entrenched oligarchy since the culture war primarily serves as a useful distraction to keep the rabble squabbling while apex societal predators loot whatever’s left of this hollowed out neo-feudal economy.

The pivot toward status quo consensus when it comes to two of the most existential issues facing the nation should be deeply concerning to everyone, but particularly to those who thought Donald Trump would be different. When it comes to militarism and empire, Trump’s hypocrisy and bait and switch is one for the record books…”

If Assange stays in England, it’s a 100% chance of death by the queens weasels. If the US gets involved and brings him to the states, he rolls-up the deep state and the good guys win.
We shall see how it plays out.

Serious chess going on, and Julian is no pawn.

      Apr 11, 2019 11:04 PM

Chartster, excellent point. Pompeo etal talk tough about Assange but I have a feeling that they want him back in the states to question him about the DNC and John Podesta email hacks. Assange knows who compromised the emails and if he reveals what he knows for clemency, it’ll put to rest that Russia had nothing to do with it and that it was an inside job.

        Apr 11, 2019 11:59 PM

In the future nobody will care about Assange’s data leaks or email hacks as everyone will be too busy hacking into each other’s digital assistants like Siri and Alexa.

“Millions more are reluctant to invite the devices and their powerful microphones into their homes out of concern that someone might be listening.
        Sometimes, someone is.”

“Amazon.com Inc. employs thousands of people around the world to help improve the Alexa digital assistant powering its line of Echo speakers. The team listens to voice recordings captured in Echo owners’ homes and offices. The recordings are transcribed, annotated and then fed back into the software as part of an effort to eliminate gaps in Alexa’s understanding of human speech…”

Why would they need to have him arrested and extradited?

They could just subpoena him and they probably wouldn’t even need to do that as I bet he’d hand over voluntarily anything they wanted.

Pompeo, the Congress Critters and everyone associated with the Deep State and Swamp want Assange to spend the rest of his life in solitary confinement in a Super Max prison, if not executed. They’ve made that very clear for years.

They want to make him an example to send a clear message to anyone who is thinking of exposing evidence of the murderous behavior of our b@stard criminal gooooberment.

Anything else you are trying to read into this is a delusion.

Israel private moon rover landing failed.
    (?computer malfunction or misprogramming?)

With Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and a throng of dignitaries and well-wishers looking on, a small Israeli spacecraft attempted to pull off the first privately-funded non-superpower moon landing Thursday, but the lander apparently crashed to the surface after engine trouble and communications glitches during the final descent.

“We had a failure in the spacecraft,” said Opher Doron, general manager of Israel Aerospace Industries space division, builder of the Beresheet lunar lander. “We unfortunately have not managed to land successfully.”

It was not immediately known what went wrong. The descent, from an altitude of about 15 miles, began on time just after 3 p.m. EDT. At that point, the spacecraft was about 500 miles from the intended landing site on a broad plain known as Mare Serenitatis.

Some people believe that no matter what a country may do, it is the duty of its citizens to obey their country’s laws without objection.
Others believe that mankind should live by a set of moral and ethical laws that supercede those of any one country; such that it is their moral duty to resist evil even when it has been declared by those in power of their country to be legal and just.

Clearly,, our Founding Fathers and Julian Assange, rightly or wrongly, belong to the second group.
At least in the age of the internet, enough light will be shone so that Assange should not end up incommunicado indefinitely.

I did mention Qanon early in my comments about Assange.
I, personally, do not know the reasons behind Assange’s renditition to the U.S.
There are, of course, at least two possibilities:
    1. Intentional silencing of potential leakers.
    2. Gaining access to Assange’s knowledge, for use in prosecutions of swamp creatures.

Clearly there is a substantial difference between those two possibilities, but time will tell which is closer to the truth.
Clearly 1 would place Trump as a black hat, whereas 2 would place Trump closer to a white hat.
Either way, it appears to me Trump is probably lying when he claims to know nothing; either that or he is a lot less hands on than he usually portrays.

    SILVER UP DATE…………jsmineset……
April Silver’s Delivery demands sure got settled out during yesterday’s trade with the request count now at 1 contract waiting for physical proving a drop of 15 obligations and with Zero Volume up on the board so far this morning. With this kind of buying activity going on inside the delivery system one would suspect the short traders to lighten up the risk a bit but noooo! Instead, they added an additional 7,384 more short contracts to control (stay) the prices as we see the game reach its pinnacle as the total Open Interest in Silver is now at 220,355 Overnighters, yet Silver is now trading higher against the shorts …. Hmmm, with all this short pressure being applied keeping the prices (only) steady, one has to wonder how deep the pockets are of the buyers who are taking on the short trade at these cheap ass prices and at least 13 days away from the May Precious Metals Options Expirations.

WikiLeaks’ founder, Julian Assange, was dramatically arrested and carried out of the Ecuadorian Embassy in London on Thursday.
British and Ecuadorian authorities engineered the timing and nature of the raid to stop Assange from accessing a panic button he mentioned in the past, Ecuador’s foreign minister said.
Specifics on the button — or what it might do — are sparse, but the foreign minister said Assange had said it could bring dire consequences for Ecuador.
Ecuadorian officials have accused Assange of accessing the government’s security files, playing music loudly, and having no regard for personal hygiene during his stay at the embassy
