Investing Strategies For The Metals Market – Is It A Buy The Big Guys and Wait For A Breakout?

Cory

I chatted with Phil O’Neill, President of MP1 Capital about the strategy of sticking to the larger mining companies and the mid-tiers who make money while waiting for a PMs breakout. When money starts to flow in it typically lands on the bigger market cap companies for a couple main reasons. We also discuss how not to get sucked into chasing stocks higher.

Matthew, do you have any Miramont or Irving Resources, if you don’t mind my asking?

            Apr 18, 2019 18:56 AM

I do not own those and I never mind your asking. I wanted to buy Irving when it was much lower but didn’t get around to it.

Thanks, Matthew. I did buy some MRRMF@12 cents and some irving@1.28 several days ago after they plunged last week. I’m thinking of buying more if they drop some more.

Matthew, what are you doing differently these days with your investing, just curious. DT

Not much, DT, but I do sometimes feel like I should trade the ETFs more rather than focus so heavily on the thinly traded juniors.
I still avoid margin debt and options 95% of the time.
