An interesting comparison between Jews and the Islamic Population

Jewish Boycott A short time ago, Iran’s Supreme Leader Grand Ayatollah Ali Khamenei urged the Muslim World to boycott anything and everything that originates with the Jewish people. In response, Meyer M. Treinkman, a pharmacist, out of the kindness of his heart, offered to assist them in their boycott as follows: “Any Muslim who has Syphilis must not be cured by Salvarsan discovered by a Jew, Dr. Ehrlich. He should not even try to find out whether he has Syphilis, because the Wasserman Test is the discovery of a Jew. If a Muslim suspects that he has Gonorrhea, he must not seek diagnosis, because he will be using the method of a Jew named Neissner. “A Muslim who has heart disease must not use Digitalis, a discovery by a Jew, Ludwig Traube. Should he suffer with a toothache, he must not use Novocaine, a discovery of the Jews, Widal and Weil. If a Muslim has Diabetes, he must not use Insulin, the result of research by Minkowsky, a Jew. If one has a headache, he must shun Pyramidon and Antypyrin, due to the Jews, Spiro and Ellege. Muslims with convulsions must put up with them because it was a Jew, Oscar Leibreich, who proposed the use of Chloral Hydrate. Arabs must do likewise with their psychic ailments because Freud, father of psychoanalysis, was a Jew. Should a Muslim child get Diphtheria, he must refrain from the Schick” reaction which was invented by the Jew, Bella Schick. “Muslims should be ready to die in great numbers and must not permit treatment of ear and brain damage, work of Jewish Nobel Prize winner, Robert Baram. They should continue to die or remain crippled by Infantile Paralysis because the discoverer of the anti-polio vaccine is a Jew, Jonas Salk. “Muslims must refuse to use Streptomycin and continue to die of Tuberculosis because a Jew, Zalman Waxman, invented the wonder drug against this killing disease. Muslim doctors must discard all discoveries and improvements by dermatologist Judas Sehn Benedict, or the lung specialist, Frawnkel, and of many other world renowned Jewish scientists and medical experts. “In short, good and loyal Muslims properly and fittingly should remain afflicted with Syphilis, Gonorrhea, Heart Disease, Headaches, Typhus, Diabetes, Mental Disorders, Polio Convulsions and Tuberculosis and be proud to obey the Islamic boycott.” Oh, and by the way, don’t call for a doctor on your cell phone because the cell phone was invented in Israel by a Jewish engineer. Meanwhile I ask, what medical contributions to the world have the Muslims made?” The Global Islamic population is approximately 1,200,000,000; that is ONE BILLION TWO HUNDRED MILLION or 20% of the world’s population. They have received the following Nobel Prizes: Literature:

The Jews don’t traffic slaves, nor have leaders calling for Jihad and death to all the Infidels. ‘If the Arabs put down their weapons today, there would be no more violence. If the Jews put down their weapons today, there would be no more Israel.”

Big Al’s only comment is, “Knowing what reality is, could profoundly change our world into an arena of common sense and peace!

I must object to inaccuracy contained in the article.

First in the lack of definition of a Jew and Islamic population.

It seems to me there are probably 15 to 16 million Jews just living in the US and Israel; those two countries alone.
Whereas “the Islamic population” refers, I assume, to the total population of countries which nominate Islamic faith as their country’s religion.

Thus in the article’s statistics one is comparing a number in a religious community with a general population that may or may not practice a faith.

Second, a numeric comparison of Nobel prize winners, while on it’s face may appear relevant, I would ask: How many of those prizes were awarded to Jews living in the US or Europe, which is where the vast majority of Nobel prizes are given.
I would guess that prior to a decade or so ago the Jews in the US and Europe significantly out-numbered Muslims, and thus those Jews were likely to be much more highly educated.

It is hard to do Nobel Prize quality research in a country that has rampant povety, poor education; where much of the population may just be struggling to find food and clean water.

There’s statistics and damned statistics, as usual.

        I asked myself why?
To indicate Jews were smarter than Muslims?
To indicate Nobel committee was racist?
        I don’t know.
Frankly, I did not actually get the point of the article other than to suggest that perhaps Muslims do not value education, or that they hate Jews. (which in my opinion is just not generally true; it’s simply that on average Muslims are poor and education takes a second seat to survival.)

15 million or 20 million, the number of Jews in the world is insignificant when compared to other religious or ethnic groups. All one has to do is to run a Google search to see the numbers.

I’m not Jewish, and I’m not in favor of the Israeli State taking over land in the so-called occupied areas. That said, I can’t fault the Israelis for defending themselves.

I have to believe that the Palestinians should have taken the 1948 deal.

To illustrate the problem of using statistics to make a point, I would ask one to look at sexist behavior in awarding Nobel Prizes.
Between 1901 and 2018 there were 908 Nobel prizes awarded to individuals.
Of these, 52 were awarded to women.

What implication should one draw from:
    52 awarded to women,
    856 awarded to men.

That men are 16 times more deserving of Nobel prizes than women by virtue of superior intellect?

    I don’t think so.
Most studies seem to show that women have a peak on the bell curve for IQ slightly above that of men.

Should we assume that men study and work harder than women?
    I don’t think so.

Should we assume the Nobel Prize Committee is biased and sexist?
In Sweden? Come on! I don’t think so.

Having indicated I dislike statistics and correlations, which may or may not prove causality.

I would condemn teachings of intolerance; such as commonly found in the Middle East Islamic nations.
I would also condemn excessive use of violence by powerful nations, just because they can; it merely serves to inflame any situation.

I also dislike the concept of punishment for apostacy, notwithstanding it was common in Europe in the 16hth,17th and 18th centuries. Indeed, an inducement for the Pilgrim Fathers to seek freedom in the New World.

But in the 21st century, in a world where communication is almost instantaneous, there is no place for mandatory religious conformity in any country.
