Big Al wants to know what you think of this piece which came out earlier today from Bloomberg.

Trump Panics, Rushes Into Xi’s Arms – Shuli RenIt only took a small taste of what a U.S. recession might be like for President Donald Trump to suggest that he wants a trade deal with China after all.The Dow Jones Industrial Average plunged 800 points in its worst rout of the year after the gap between the two-year and 10-year Treasury yields turned negative for the first time since 2007. An inverted yield curve has preceded the last seven recessions in the U.S.Ever sensitive to stock movements, the president tried to calm the markets after the close. Abandoning his hawkish trade rhetoric, Trump extended an olive branch to Chinese President Xi Jinping in a series of tweets, calling him a “great leader” and a “good man.” He ended his posts with “Personal meeting?,” without specifying whether he was proposing a summit. The question is how Xi will respond to Trump’s overture. Who’s more desperate for a trade deal right now?

    Rushes into Xi’s arms…..WHAT BS.

    Trump is a deal-maker.
Sure Trump wants a deal on Trump’s terms.
What good does it do to bad-mouth Xi.
Trump recognizes the Asian concept of “face”, and is trying to make a deal.

The Bloomberg author of the piece is STUPID, not understanding reality.

If the algos begin the kick in to the downside this would be an actual real Dow slide possibility intra-day…Volatility will be off the scale!…The danger is real!

Yes, the Chinese culture certainly does put a lot of stock in “saving face”

It is not about face. Trump is trying to control Chinese government and make Chinese domestic policies. For example, US will have a committee in China and make the final ruling whether China breaks the IP law. China wanted to make it mutual and US refused. This is not tolerated by any one in China because it puts US above Chinese sovereignty. From Opium war to the end of second world war, China was invaded by almost all the industrialised countries and some times jointly, like 1905 eight country joint army and British French joint army. People tried so hard to fight off the invasion tens of million people died during the wars. So not only government but the people will not allow the submission to foreign forces. If XI yields to US pressure, he will lose his legitimacy.

Al I live in Wyoming….People here will be part of the partition of America if the civil war unfolds…..That Tulsi Gabbard looks like a come from behind possibility and may be able to sooth the communist democratic beast and appeal to the voters in majority…Then the Republic would survive…Just a pipe dream if a Democrate must win due to a market dislocation……
