I still remember the lunch that we had in the desert. For health reasons we stopped going down there a couple of months ago. Last time we were there Kathy had some problems with the dialysis facility that she was using. I also ended up in the emergency room at Eisenhower. Nothing serious, but it could have been.

It’s a little scary that so many are comfortable with a simple “yes” to show support for ALL of his policies. Maybe it’s hard to be critical when the lunatic left has essentially taken over?
Whatever it is, there’s a lot wrong with some of his “conservative” policies.

    • On October 1, 2019 at 5:09 pm,
      Excelsior says:

      Agreed Matthew.

A yes/no poll is binary and makes it acceptance of the Trump administration agenda in full or rejection of it totally, which is really silly.

Of course, it is best to go policy by policy on any candidate rather than blanket acceptance or rejection, but that would be too convaluted on go down too many directions on a blog.

Also people fatigue from discussing issues, and just like to back a candidate, a party, a team, a group, or a cult. It is human nature to for most to cheer from the sidelines for someone else to save their ass, instead of do the thing to empower themselves.

      – Should he continue to build the Wall using emergency measures?
      – I thought he emphatically stated that Mexico was going to pay for the Wall – yes or no?
      – Trade Wars – have they good, bad, or ugly? Was there a better approach for trade? Getting rid of NAFTA was good, but what is the best solution moving forward?
      – Iran deal or no deal?
      – Saudis – friends or foes?
      – Should any president keep berading the FED for a weaker dollar to encourage more imports of US goods abroad (other presidents did this too, but they were also chumps) Is it wise to bully the FED or is it making the situation worse?
      – Should a president even be endorsing or legitimizing the powers of a privately owned central bank like the FED at all?
      – Should we go to a flat consumption tax and get rid of central bankers, accountants, and an over complex tax system completely?
      – Where is the reduction in spending from a “conservative” candidate?
      – What is the plan to reduce the deficit and is it working?
      – Is Washington just going to keep increasing the debt ceiling to infinity and beyond?
      – Why does the US keep bombing so many countries around the world regardless of administration and when will it stop? Is it winning us friends or creating foes?

      > Does it seem ridiculous to have a poll on the KER when 90% of the commentators in the politics sections have clearly declared they are conservatives for over a decade?

(The KER is known for being a conservative biased blog, so I’d imagine the Big Owl will get 90% Yes answers to his poll. It would be like doing a poll of Huffington Post readers and get 90% libs. Nothing would be shocking in those findings because the audience has an extreme bias).

A this point is is clearly a “lessor of the 2 evils” type of vote for most Americans.

Do you want a a loudmouth New Yorker reality show host that took daddy’s money and made a name for himself tweeting from the toilet at his opponents at 3 am?

…or do you want to vote for one of a dozen insane Socialists in cue that want to tax the crap out of anyone still working to give away “free” college, phones, debt forgiveness and spend years of hellish public division battling about gender pronouns and victims of intersectional social justice politics?

        >> Can we get a 3rd choice please?

Is there anyone that can be elected that will actually make the sweeping reforms necessary to our unfunded liabilities and “entitlement” programs?

Is there a candidate that will actually fix the insane debt problem the US has?

Is there a candidate that will stop raising the debt ceiling and get out the scalpel and start cutting out the rot in government spending and mismanagment?

Is there really a candidate that can drain the Washington DC swamp? So many claimed that they would, but all they did was fill the swamp with a new set of creatures.

Is there someone that will pull the US out of it’s insane role as “World Police”, focus on protecting our boarders at home, but not instigating skirmishes and conflict all over the planet?

Is there a leader that will reign in the crazy amounts of money we give to other contries like Israel, but there are dozens more, for no benefit to our people?

Where is candidate that can really inspire innovation in industry, instead of trying to bring buggy whips and blockbuster video back to the US when those jobs are not coming back?

Where is the leader that can unite the people and country instead of fuel the bipolar friction from 2 parties that are really part of the same problem?

Which leader is going to kill the 2 headed-snake of DC politics, and squash all their little clubs (Council on Foreign Relations, Trilateral Commission, Council on the Americas, Bohemian Grove, Bilderberg Group, etc…)?

Until some of those real issues are dealt with, it really is all just political theater. Based on the current environment, it comes down to picking the lessor of 2 evils thrust upon the people to rule over them, and the illusion that voting in the rigged game of crony politics actually matters or will give people more freedom or happiness.

I think your comments are good and valid.
Most people that have these concerns do pay attention but sometimes miss things as they are happening and think nothing is happening.

Yesterday the offices of the Secretariate were raided. That’s the Holy See legal and banking offices. Most don’t understand that the Holy See or Pontiff controls (or use to control) all Cannon law or admiralty law around the globe.
            Think about all the corrupt politicians with Vatican offshore trusts and bank accounts. {and let that sink in}
AG Barr (#1 at Interpol) has been in Rome for the last few days. Pompeo was there yesterday. The Vatican is a nation state, and it’s legal and financial departments was raided and all documents and electronic devices ceased. [ swamp drainage of biblical proportions]

Trump has got hundreds of billions in contracts for trade with many countries ready to go live with a start date. The trade deficit will be gone in a day once they go live.

The debt (or fake fiat debt) that is owed can be off-set or swapped when the gold standard is announced. (we are on the gold standard and gave been for a few weeks now) The gold standard will be announced very soon!

So all is great what Donald Trump and his team are doing. You just need to pay attention closer. He’s doing right for America and the world.

Thanks for the response back B, Charles, and Chartster.

It’s a wacky world out there and I just have little confidence in politicians to make it a better one. I believe the real change is what we do with our lives and how we affect the communities around us and radiate outwards from there.

Chartster I’d be thrilled with a return to the Gold Standard, but just don’t believe we’ll ever see it again until there is a giant system collapse, so the debt in fake fiat and trillions that are racking up in debt still concern me. If the rest of the world calls out the US on the unpayable debt burden, then it could really bring the problems home to roost. That’s my concern, and for now, all I see are politicians that want a larger and larger debt ceiling limit and want to spend their way to prosperity.

I have little confidence in any government or their elected officials to make the tough decisions and get us out of this mess. For now I’m just trying to enjoy each day, and the few freedoms we still have before the screws get tightened any further.

Once the Chinese “Social Credit Scores” get pushed on us here in the states, it will be the end of an era of freedom, and the true Big Brother Military Industrial Complex will have finally placed its clutches around each and every citizen.

            Until then… Cheers!

No. IMHO the man is clearly mentally and emotionally unstable, just follow his twitterfeed for a week or watch a realtime incoherent rambling presser. The fact he is the man who in time of crisis has the full control of the nuclear arsenal frankly keeps me up at night. Also his bully tactics would be fine in NY real estate circles but are unfit for geopolitics, the US has now no allies left except for Saudi Arabia and Israel. Virtually any Republican (like Pence) would achieved a lot more.

    • On October 2, 2019 at 10:33 am,
      SilverDollar says:

This binary choice is way too simple. Everything stated by AJ is factual and should be of concern to anyone who understands the clear and present dangers that abound in today’s world. Saudi Arabia is a feudal nation run by a powerful family who murders it’s citizens, something on the order of China. How we have sunk to this level as a people is the pressing question. I can agree with some of trump’s thoughts but how he wants to achieve some of the positions turns my stomach! Today, it came to light that the man actually suggested shooting the people on the southern border in the legs; akin to Israel’s practice along the border with Gaza. He supposedly asked about a moat full of alligators and snakes. All this from a “leader” of the free world? Are we ever in deep dodo!
