I just watched this yet again. McConnell’s comments make nothing but sense to me. How about all of you?

I have said many times on this site that Pres.Trump will not be impeached , & i stand by that . The dems in the house had nothing from day one , & the fiasco of the last few weeks show they have nothing now , if they though they had enough , then the articles of impeachment would have been in the Senate ten minutes after the vote . They have NOTHING to impeach the Presedent with & they know it, so now they are going to play silly games , in the hope Trump is going to do something stupid , so they can go trew their silly antics once more .

I would be amazed if Trump did anything politically stupid!

A friend of mine said to me the other day . Oh i see your friend Trump has been impeached. To which i replied Trump is not my friend , we have never even met .
Secondely i said to him he has not been impeached .
Now anybody here can correct me if im wrong . As an outsider my understanding of US constitution law is , that the articles of impeachment do not become an impeachment , until they are submitted to the senate , who then decide if there is enough evedince to carry out an impeachment trial. I look forward to replies.

Specifically Tony, Trump cannot be removed from the presidential office until he is found guilty of committing an impeachable offense which would be decided by the Senate.

Technically the vote in the House was a vote to impeach. So Trump has been impeached, just like Bill Clinton was impeached.
An impeachment is like a grand jury indictment.
Trump has not been removed from office, which is a much higher threshold than impeachment, requiring 2/3 vote of Senators present.

Romney also has a grudge against Trump and is working hard trying to get about 20 Senators to vote for removal.
Since Romney is quite rich and senators always need a lot of money to run, it is possible Romney may buy some votes.

Romney is as nasty a swamp creature as John McCain was and he will never get nominated for president again.

The show has been good enough to keep the attention of millions of people anyway.
Didnt even have to buy a ticket.

Who know b, if tickets were sold maybe the deficit could be reduced!

    Bonzo Barzini says:

The reason Pelosi went ahead with impeachment with no evidence of a crime was to distract the country and the media from the Epstein murder before it could implicate the Clintons so that Hillary can win the nomination at a hung convention. And so far her misdirection is working.

If the Bulwark is supposed to be right-wing Magazine, how come it seems to take left-wing propaganda as a given.
at about 20 minutes they praised Biden and Mayor Pete, while knocking Warren, which is the current Dem. Party line.
At 26 mins 45 secs they are talking about advice to Joe Biden……Clearly a left-wing group.
