Extrapolating along current expenditure lines, it appears that within 8 years, China will not only have a superior navy (which arguably is true already) but, in fact, will reach DOUBLE the size of the US fleet.

Europe government orders reduction in fertilizer imports from Russian satellite countries to offset price hikes in oil and gas.
CONSEQUENCE: Countries like Turkey and India will import and trans-ship fertilizer at a higher cost, but it will still come out of Russian satellite countries.
Governments never cease to amaze me by their inability to see the big picture. (Or perhaps they do, but are driven by politics.)

Israel desalinates sea water to obtain much of its water. Instead of flushing the chemicals extracted back into the sea, It is now looking at cost-efficient ways of extracting phosphates and potassium for agricultural fertilizer use.
I t alwaysamazes me that Israel produces lower cost drinkng water by desalination than does California produce drinking water from Rockies rainfall. Clearly California Government is wasteful and corrupt.
A human can survive:
