    Only “economics”? boring.

Afganistan being the “worst of all worlds”?
I beg to differ, and this is exactly why events other than economics should be followed by investors.

Because of this weapons investing will be profitable for years, what investor doesnt luv that guarantee?

I hope this Trump, he luvs Israel, will continue the wars etc will help people realize they have no democracy.

On the other hand, I spoke before thinking, people are too stupid to see anything, the rest dont care.

Foreign entanglements……..are to be avoided…..We have no business in other county’s business. I have to agree the speech was disappointing. THe deep state , neocons zionist are still in control.

They are in control, what I find interesting is Zionists are not Jews, maybe lucifarian if such a thing exists.

The way we know the Zionists are not Jews is the Jews were betrayed in the 30/40s.
Im sure there is other evidence, but this is a big one thats overlooked, like the Nazis fixing their economy by printing their own currency.
Just like in the american constitution. lol

Nobody likes to mention those things, I guess if ya do thats antisemitism .
Cant have that, send Israel more money. lol

        Aug 24, 2017 24:52 PM

You are so right……..on the zionist…..

          Aug 24, 2017 24:57 PM

          C. Austin Fitts, has a good commentary on the deep state,Israel-zionist neocon, it is under the piece covering the constitution…….

McKinney had some great question for the CIA, ….during the obamy years, cia did the soft shoe and avoided all the question,…….later they had her arrested…..smeared her….and now she is talking up…….Kind of like Chafest (sp)

            Aug 24, 2017 24:06 PM

One interesting point that Fitts and Mckenny bring out,……all the phone records of all the US citizens are in Israel…..that way they can spear any politician the deep state deems a problem………

            Aug 24, 2017 24:10 PM

When we have FED officials with dual passports for the US and Israel…..we have a deep state problem…..

            Aug 24, 2017 24:42 PM

Pilgrim Society vs the Zionist neo cons……..

            Aug 24, 2017 24:07 PM

There’s no “vs” there Jerry. They all work together.

        Aug 25, 2017 25:13 AM

Your are correct in that many “Jews” are atheistic. In discussions with many of my Jewish friends, they stressed that Jews are held together by custom and not necessarily a belief in God.

Candidly in took me a while to accept that fact. The Old Testament is holy book to many Jews but certainly not all.

Just for the record, Big Al, Afghanistan is very mineral rich.

We need to stop the CIA drug program, most of all.

Big Al, You live near Seattle. Did you know King Co. hands out over 20,000 syringes (at tax-payers expense) per DAY for illegal drug use.
Heroin is illegal and should be treated as such.
Eradicate the poppies in Afghanistan, or at least threaten to do so if the terrorists don’t stop. (AND THEN CARRY THROUGH)

We have the ability to win any war, but the scum in Washington have no morals or motivation to act in the best interests of the country.
Members of both parties need to develop convictions to do what is in the best interest of the country OR be convicted.

      Aug 25, 2017 25:34 AM

I am aware of the HUGE drug problem in Seattle. Actually we pretty much only visit Seattle when we see the kids. The rest of the time we go to Woodenville for wine tasting.

I personally am very uncomfortable in downtown Seattle and also in the South End.

I remember visiting Seattle in 1991, Al. Capitol Hill was the freak show–folks with tattooed faces, e.g.

After quite a hiatus I visited in 2015. The whole city looks a bit that way now.

Several comments on the subject at hand:

I still don’t think trump is that bright and has no more idea of what’s happening in Afghanistan than the majority of Americans. He mentioned once he’d just turn it over to the generals. Well, they’ve been in charge essentially since 2002 and they haven’t done much successfully, have they. Does anyone really know what we’re trying to do there?
Second point is very personal for me: I can’t understand why we elect draft dodgers to command our young men and women in combat. He’ll send more of them over there to wander about and become targets for bombers and snipers. Those that aren’t wounded physically, will be wounded mentally. Likely for the rest of their lives.
Trump said he was going to kill Taliban….this means Afghani citizens, most of who are simply trying to protect their families and tribal territory from foreigners. They’ve been doing the same thing since Genghis Khan. They always succeed.
We have to exit that country and let the chips fall where they may. Sixteen years of blood and treasure wasted should tell our leadership something! JMO

I don’t agree with the President’s policy, but I understand it.

In response to “Does anyone really know what we’re trying to do there?”
I believe we are trying to eliminate a safe harbor for terrorist where they can live and plan attacks on the West.
The problem with Afghanistan is that the Pakistani-Afghani border is totally porous. and while the US can occupy Afghanistan, it cannot occupy Pakistan (a supposed Ally).
Thus it is near impossible to eradicate many terrorists; and further, the occupation by it very length is serving more to inflame the population and create more terrorism.

I believe Mr. Trump has chosen not to lose “face” by not withdrawing.
It is possible, but improbable, that more terrorists may be captured by increasing troop strength. He has chosen, therefore, that option. The question is, however, will he have the intelligence and fortitude to withdraw totally should this effort fail to produce results in a reasonable time frame.

        Aug 24, 2017 24:40 PM

We are watching the poppy fields, for Bush, and the Deep state is making a fortune on scamming $8,6 Trillion……all is a diversion

          b
          Aug 24, 2017 24:14 PM

There are multiple photographs of american troops protecting the fields and articles explaining poppy production increases with american and decreases with Taliban influence.

Everything is bs, afganistan is for drug and war profits, pure and simple.
People and or the envirnment do not matter to us in any way shape or form.
          Truth is our enemy.
Profit is the only thing that matters.

          CFS
          Aug 24, 2017 24:57 PM

Don’t you think wiping out the poppy fields is PART OF DRAINING the swamp?

The President seriously needs to give direct and specific orders to the CIA.

          Of course that risks assassination.
But if that happens, then comes the revolution that resets the Constitution as limiting the SCUM in Congress.

The reason many stupid CIA intel officers claim to reward Afghani WarLords is that they provide information on Islamic Scum (I.S.).
Anyone with common sense, realizes this is really a simple way of eliminating competitors and the WarLord is equally as likely to order an I.E.D. to be set out for American troops the next day.

U.S. Energy Department grid study calls for boost to Coal, Nuclear power
Valerie Volcovici and Nichola Groom – AUGUST 24, 2017

“A U.S. Energy Department report calls for incentives to boost coal-fired and nuclear power plants following a slew of closures that it said undermined reliable sources of electricity.

The findings of the study, released late on Wednesday, drew praise from the coal and nuclear industries and a mixed reaction from renewable energy groups – some of which said the report’s recommendations could help them too.

President Donald Trump has promised to revive the ailing coal mining sector but has also said he welcomes all forms of energy development to shore up domestic production.

Energy Secretary Rick Perry commissioned the grid study in April to evaluate whether “regulatory burdens” imposed by past administrations, including that of former President Barack Obama, had hurt the grid by forcing shutdowns of baseload plants, which provide nonstop power, like those fired by coal and nuclear fuel.”

“It is apparent that in today’s competitive markets certain regulations and subsidies are having a large impact on the functioning of markets, and thereby challenging our power generation mix,” Perry said in a letter introducing the study. “It is important for policy makers to consider their intended and unintended effects.”

Please, John Oliver, Please Talk To A Real Nuclear Scientist

      James Conca , Forbes – Energy – AUG 24, 2017

“However, to correct the highlights, John claimed that nuclear waste poses a serious threat to public health and the environment. Umm…no, it doesn’t.”

“It’s one of the least threatening issues facing our country, the one with the lowest risk factors of any environmental threat. It’s safer to work at a nuclear site than to sit at a desk trading stocks. Of course, that might be funnier if we end up not raising the debt ceiling. But these numbers are OSHA data.”

“John wasn’t aware just how different commercial waste is from weapons waste. Or that we have a deep geologic repository for weapons waste already. Used commercial fuel will be burned in fast reactors to get ten times more energy out of it, not thrown away.”

“Besides, there just isn’t much nuclear waste. 70,000 tons over 60 years? Hello – it’s uranium, the heaviest element on Earth prior to 1940. That much waste wouldn’t even fill one good-sized landfill. Coal generates that much toxic waste every 30 minutes.”

“No one is going to die from nuclear waste. No one ever has. And we know what to do with it, where to put it, and what it’s going to cost.”

“We just aren’t allowed to do it.”
