Orko Silver Corp.

Orko Silver Corp. (TSX Venture Exchange: OK.V) focuses on resource exploration and development for silver, gold, and base metals in Mexico. The Company has a large land position in Durango State, a historically prolific silver mining region, located along the Sierra Madre Occidental Mountains and is involved in three main projects, La Preciosa, Santa Monica and San Juan. The company owns a 100% interest La Preciosa Project and is earning a 75% interest in the adjacent Santa Monica Project from Goldcorp, Inc. (NYSE: GG) by expending $US 1.5 Million on exploration. As well, the Company has an option agreement to earn a 75% interest in the adjacent San Juan property from Silver Standard Resources Inc. (NASDAQ: SSRI) by expending $750,000 on exploration.

The Company's corporate strategy is to build up a 100 million ounce silver resource to make itself an attractive acquisition target. As explorationists, our core competency is to find, explore and develop quality exploration projects in order to maximize shareholder value.

To that end the Company has focused most of its attention at its La Preciosa project. Following a 10,000 metre diamond drilling program, on January 19th, 2006, the Company released its initial NI 43-101 compliant Inferred Resource Estimate of 2.72 million tonnes grading 0.462 g/t Au and 227.2 g/t Ag for a Silver-Equivalent grade of 255.0 g/t. (8.16 oz/ton) The contained metal equals 19.9 million ounces of Silver and 40,400 ounces of Gold for a Silver Equivalent of 22.3 Million Ounces. Less than 30% of the initial target has been drilled and only to a true depth of 340 metres. The deposit remains open in all directions and to depth.
