A focus on commodities – Silver, base metals, and energy

Cory
July 20, 2020

Chris Temple is with us today to focus on a wide range of commodities. We start with the silver market and its recent breakout. Still far from the highs of 10 years ago the recent moves higher have taken out some key downtrend lines.

Next up are the base metals. Similar factors are driving the base metals as are driving silver but there are a couple risks we all need to be aware of. finally a quick comment on the energy sector. With Chevron taking out Noble Energy this could be the start of a trend in the sector.

    Radisson drills 32.3 m of 3.07 g/t Au at O’Brien

    Mr. Mario Bouchard reports

DRILLING AT O’BRIEN DELIVERS HIGH-GRADE GOLD INTERCEPTS HIGHLIGHTING RESOURCE GROWTH POTENTIAL NEAR SURFACE AND AT DEPTH

Radisson Mining Resources Inc. has released significant high-grade gold intercepts from the continuing 60,000-metre exploration drill program at its O’Brien gold project located along the Larder Lake Cadillac Break, halfway between Rouyn-Noranda and Val d’Or in Quebec, Canada. “Drill results continue to showcase significant upside to resources at the high-grade O’Brien project. The majority of current resources are contained within a 1.5-kilometre strike (out of a total strike length of 4.5 km) and 400 m vertical depth in a prolific gold camp where deposits (including the old O’Brien mine) have been mined to depths well below 1,000 m.

(BRC) Blackrock shot up over 90% earlier on this monster drilling news, and has pulled back to a mere 65% gain on the day, proving once again when these tiny Jr miners hit paydirt, the market can really move.

Blackrock has shades of Azimut, Freegold and Vizsla. I wasn’t going to do it but traded Reyna for some Blackrock. Blackrock supposed to have some advanced exploration procedures, which if so, maybe worked and they can repeat these results. If not, I will check back to see where Reyna is. ” A bush in the hand is worth several birds sitting over your car.” I think that is the saying.

          Jul 20, 2020 20:35 AM

Makes sense David. I got the impression when looking into Reyna that it was going to take them a few more months to really get the work going and reported back to the marketplace. Blackrock is popping in the now off stellar news, and likely has more to come. I have an iron in the fire with Vizsla, but sold out into the peak drilling news euphoria, and got back in once it pulled back some post financing news. I congratulate all the Freegold shareholders on an epic run this year, but it just ran too far for me to chase it here. I am still looking at Azimut as a contender to get positioned in, and had stink bids in on Friday that didn’t get filled. Sokoman is doing well up another 19% today, so I’m happy I got in before liftoff during the fishing line sell off. I’ve been impressed with the action in Southern Silver as well, up another 24% today. Kaboom!

            Jul 20, 2020 20:41 AM

David – didn’t you mention getting into Atico recently as well. Some of these Copper plays are starting to come to life. They had another solid (albeit narrrow) intercept today that had really good Copper values, along with the Gold, Silver & Zinc credits.

            Jul 20, 2020 20:52 AM

Atico: Yes and I am still in. Has not moved much (about +8%) but it it is headed in the right direction.

            Jul 20, 2020 20:57 AM

I may join you in Atico at one point, as they’ve been putting out good holes recently, but most of the attention is on pure Gold/Silver plays, more so than Copper plays with good gold & silver credits. I got positioned a few weeks back in Regulus (REG) for some Copper/Gold exposure, and in Triumph Gold as they have more of a Gold primary/Copper secondary focus. (TIG) was up 17% earlier, but has pulled back to only being up 13% on the day. Still it has a ways to run from here.

            Jul 20, 2020 20:09 PM

Atico: Yes on gold results. On the four sections reported, they had g/t gold of 14.6, 21.4, 16.55 & 32.9. In the silver g/t they had 100* to 400+. Although not particularly great in silver, when you look at silver or gold equivalents, ignoring copper, there still may be something.

            Jul 20, 2020 20:39 PM

True, they do have some nice PM grades in there, especially on the Gold side, but they’ve been primarily marketed as a Copper company. Good copper percentages are 4%-10%, so hitting 16% is quite good, but normally it is better to see those over longer intercepts for base metals deposits. On a short intercept like that, the 32.9 g/t of gold was the stand out value, but if that drill hole was converted all to gold or all to copper equivalents, it would likely garner more attention. On polymetallic VMS deposits it really is a sum of all parts approach and I like it when companies do the coversions to an equivalent ounce for comparative purposes.

            Jul 20, 2020 20:07 PM

Thought I was buying into Blackrock at high of day but OTC Markets was showing I picked it up 5cents from low of day (big gap up open) and ended up +22% for the day. May have to face that gap later but …

            Jul 20, 2020 20:47 PM

Well played David! I tried to buy it when the news popped on my screen today, and then went and looked an it was halted. I then tried to buy it on the OTC market hoping I could pick it up while BRC was halted, but no dice. Then it gapped up on when it started trading again on the OTC and by the time I got back around to the main ticker it was up 90%, so I chocked it up to I missed it. I was considering it because Goldfinger has covered it a bit, and others pointed out to me in private messages it was actually a silver company much more so than a gold company, but it’s off to the races now. Congrats again as it had one heck of a move today.

James Kwantes is a very sharp investor and newsletter writer and weighed in positively on Blackrock Gold big hit today:

@JamesKwantes – “Exceptional hole for $BRC, especially for Nevada. That 3 metres at 2,198 g/t AgEq is 3m of 11.5 g/t Au and 1046 g/t Ag. Plus 29 metres of 5.3 g/t gold and 435 g/t silver (964 g/t AgEq) into the known Victor vein that they were targeting. Boomer.”

Looks like Ely has involvement also. Double whammy for Ely holders. Double for Sailfish with MAKO also today. Saw Ex post earlier.

            Jul 20, 2020 20:46 AM

Yeah, some of these smaller royalty companies (like Ely / Sailfish / Maverix / Metalla / EMX / Abitibi / Golden Valley) are getting the bid as they hold Net Smelter Royalties on the projects in play for exploration, development, and production. Ely really has been the standout with both leverage to Wallbridge and Blackrock.

I’ve also noticed a bunch of new royalty companies starting up like Vox, Xtierra, and Nomad. At one point it would make sense to keep consolidating down the space a bit more, and I could see some of the larger players like Sandstorm, Wheaton Precious Metals, or Osisko Gold Royalties gobbling up a few of the smaller fish.

          Jul 20, 2020 20:28 PM

Ex, speaking of copper, WRN even after after a recent 400% move looks technically like it has broken out of a many month trading range—they recently updated their holdings for the first time in years and it looks like they doubled their reserves. It makes their casino projects one of the largest gold/copper mines in the world. The share structure is also reasonable. It appears copper has bottomed technically which is also a good sign.

            Jul 20, 2020 20:32 PM

I might add that our CDE is performing nicely—I hope you still hold it since it appears it’s getting ready to move out of its’ multi-month channel. It might waffle for awhile but the technicals look healthy.

            Jul 20, 2020 20:54 PM

Hi Doc – Thanks for the analysis on WRN’s technical set up. Yes, it’s had quite a move but may be putting in a bull flag to keep on running. I was actually looking at it last week, when reviewing some copper plays, and it is on my short list.

Yes, I still hold CDE Coeur as well and it has been my #1 largest Silver stock allocation the last 2 months. I started adding aggressively after the March lows and just kept adding on the way up. However, I did trim it back in size today on this move, so it isn’t my largest holding anymore.

            Jul 20, 2020 20:10 PM

Now I’m worried I trimmed to early in Coeur but I was feeling overly top heavy in it. The good thing is that it is so liquid that if it dips back down tomorrow or later in the week, I’ll likely add at least some of that right back. I generally like having a mid-tier or larger company as an anchor. I was using Silvercorp (because they have the dividends as well), but after all that merger news with Guyana Goldfields, I scaled back my SVM some , I decided to swap over more funds to CDE Coeur to move it up the batting order.

Lots to mull over here, but after today where I did some trimming in half dozen names, I’ve got the largest cash position I have had in some time and it is already burning a hole in my pocket. (lol)

I’m going to be on close watch for any pullback to add to positions that got trimmed.

(LIO) (LOMLF) Lion One Discovers Tuvatu Style Lodes at Banana Creek; Accelerates Drilling

      20 Jul 2020

“Crews in Fiji are finding new outcropping lodes daily at Banana Creek and surrounding areas as they open up roadcuts and trenches,” commented Quinton Hennigh, technical advisor to Lion One. “Many of these are generating high-grade assays and appear similar to gold lodes seen at Tuvatu nearly 3 km to the southwest. We are now seeing a steady stream of assays come in from these new areas and we expect many more over coming months. Drill targets are quickly emerging at Navilawa. Two holes at Tuvatu West appear to have encountered high level splay structures, possibly above a deeper feeder structure. We plan more drilling at a deeper level in this area later this year. Meanwhile our Tuvatu step-out and feeder drill program continues. This is shaping up to be a busy, exciting year.”

Breakouts all Over the miners. Personally, I believe there’s a good chance that general equities take a dip south and PM’s holding or going the other way. Let’s not forget that the major averages are near their highs while PMs have some catching up to do. Also, the general investor has to get religion soon and realize that future income projections for gen’l equities do not look promising. We can all have opinions and those are mine!

      Jul 20, 2020 20:43 AM

I share that view since I do not see conventional stocks crashing but just falling. I doubt they will even test their March lows this time (but will exceed them later, maybe next year).

        Jul 20, 2020 20:30 PM

When I find Matthew sharing my approximate view………..I sleep better. Actually, I can see the same thing happening now that happened in May-June of ’18. Majority was calling for a summer correction……instead the train left with lots of empty seats. Obviously, we’ll correct some overbought conditions in the near future but remember, they’re trying to scare you out of your position. Get right, sit tight. Remember that? Leave the pennies on the street and go for the $$$.

          Jul 20, 2020 20:57 PM

More good stuff, SilverDollar, all of it. Yes, the “wall of worry” will be more imposing along the way but a serious correction is probably a ways off, at least in price, if not time (big gains could keep coming quickly).

      Jul 20, 2020 20:26 PM

Every time i see your user name i think of silver crest lol don’t know why. Keep your opinions coming the more the better.

        Jul 20, 2020 20:43 PM

Every time I see Marty’s name I think of Silvercrest because he’s held on for a 70 bagger in it, which is truly remarkable.

Having said that, I also enjoy getting SilverDollar’s thoughts, as he has been a long time contributor here at the KER with a good sense of the macro economic picture.

        Cheers!

          Jul 20, 2020 20:07 PM

Wow! Yes I now remember lol. That’s insane good on you if true. Keep rolling in with your thoughts. I agree you have good insight

            Jul 20, 2020 20:22 PM

For clarity, I didn’t have the 70 bag in Silvercrest, it was Marty. I’ve been in and out of Silver crest a few times for nice gains and have had a few 2-3 baggers, and did very well on their last incarnation that they sold to First Majestic, but it was Marty that has stayed the course on the best Silver explorer/developer the entire way up in this cycle and he should be commended.

The biggest multi-bagger on a percentage basis I’ve had was in Mexus for a personal 56 bagger, but I trimmed it back a few times on the way up so that was just on the last remaining portion. After it crashed all the way back down to where it started I reloaded curious to see if they can do it again this cycle, now that MXSG is in production.

My best one this year was on Vizsla where I sold 1/3 for a 3.5 bagger, 1/3 for a 7.5 bagger, and 1/3 for a 9 bagger for a cumulative 6.6 bagger, but also had a good swing trade in there where I scalped enough to make it a 7 bagger. After closing that position out on the big drill news, I re-initiated a new position for the upcoming exploration work they are doing, as it likely has further to run.

There are some positions that I’ve been trading since early 2016 that are technically 7-10 baggers, but I’ve traded into and out of the those positions dozens of times, so really the returns have been far larger than that but I’d have to go back an untangle so many trades on multiple platforms (some that merged with others and I don’t have the stats on them any more) to figure out total returns since this bull started.

Regardless, once again, the gains Marty has pulled as a more patient value investors are truly great and I just wanted to tip my hat to him when you brought up Silvercrest. Cheers!

            Jul 20, 2020 20:28 PM

Now the tax authorities will be looking for Marty to help balance the budget… 🙂
Lotto winners need to pay up…. lol. 🙂

            Jul 20, 2020 20:30 PM

Well ex that’s a great accomplishment in its own.Keep stacking and accumulating percentages. It shows that Marty has a lot of discipline as well as yourself. Thanks for the story always a pleasure.

I know Matt and others have got into under the radar companies early as well and sold for baggers. My biggest fear is always getting bought out to early.

            Cheers

            Jul 20, 2020 20:43 PM

Agreed Glenfidish. There are companies I hold that have already had great runs, that I anticipate getting bought out as the exit strategy, but there are other companies I really hope don’t get bought out for years much later in the cycle.

There are going to be many 7-10 baggers across the board in Gold and Silver stocks even from current levels. Look at what we just saw this year with Amex, or Wallbridge the last 2 years, or Great Bear, or the 25 bagger from Freegold Ventures this year. The Jr Mining kernels are starting to pop, and there are so many other kernels heating up that haven’t even started to pop yet. When we get done there is going to be one hell of a Precious Metals mining snack bag to munch on. (haha!)

            Jul 21, 2020 21:19 AM

Today was the biggest day in gains I’ve had on since I started trading a decade ago, and if this is indication of things to come, this sector’s gains are sure to bring in more new generalist investors and keep the mining stock kernels popping.

Marty that is a huge win any way slice it in SILV.

AXU had quite a move earlier today as well. It’s one of my larger Silver holdings as well.

            Jul 21, 2020 21:56 AM

AXU is one of the few Silver stocks that went from being up over 12% earlier to now being down 3% as Silver has moved up over $1 today, eclipsing the 2016 surge high. It is surprising so I’ve bought even more today,

      Jul 20, 2020 20:41 AM

That’s great, Bill. Bull markets make things difficult all the way around. It’s a challenge to stay aboard but an even bigger challenge to sell enough near the tops that should be sold.
Volatility is going to increase along with very overbought readings.
A bull should only be shorted to take profits or to hedge. Nothing anywhere near net-short should be entertained.

        Jul 20, 2020 20:40 PM

        Very well put Matthew Cheers

      Jul 20, 2020 20:39 PM

Bill I’m glad for your sake and mine I have stayed the course! I think the wisdom Matt gave you in regards to never short a bull is very very powerful. Gary savage has mentioned this as well early in his career he got burned but now applies a tactic similar to ex/shad 🙂 buying low and trimming as you go up etc.

Matt also mentions just so we all are aware that it’s very important to also sell at “ important tops” that is of course one of the more difficult things to do but with years comes experience and feel.

Lastly that word volatility i have not heard for sometime.. oh boy it’s the one that’s a pain in the butt. But as Matt or others would say, when you feel like you don’t want to sell anymore, sell! This is advice for short term. Longer term we are going super high.

On another not if ex or Matt or anyone jerry included wants to touch base on how many years they think this bull has I’m all ears. Touched this topic with Matt a month ago. Gary savage believes possibly 3 years left of memory serves me well.

I was of the impression we could go higher into 2028 but now my thinking cap is on..

Something i have ordered was will we get a similar situation with high rates as in 1986-1989 22.80 percent Scotia bank in Canada combined with a gold top? The last 6 months gold went insane.

        Jul 20, 2020 20:09 PM

Good thoughts Glenfidish. Yes, there are different techniques for actively trading around a position buying dips and selling rips over the course of a bull market, versus just a buy and hold passive investing strategy, and both approaches are valid and have different attributes that would appeal to different types of investors, with different risk profiles.

As for how long the bull has left to run, the 3 year target that Gary Savage has seems like as good of a guess as any. There was some research Gary put out on cycles and I believe I’ve heard other cycle guys use it that typical cyclical bull cycles are 7 years and secular bulls are 25-30 years. If one considers the bull starting in 2016 (which I do), then 7 years puts it at 2022, count 2016 as year 1.

However the bull market in conventional market has shot way past 7 years, actually pushing 12 years now from the bottom in early 2009, and these are bizarre times where there is nothing “typical” about them, so I could see the bull in PMs extending into 2023 or 2024.

Just the sheer increase in money supply from all the central bank infusions from around the globe could extend the bull out 3 years plus. When people say were are in the first inning, they are way late to the game at this point, but we are likely in the 4th or 5th inning here, with plenty of game left to play.

          Jul 20, 2020 20:17 PM

3 more years. I am going to have to eat better and exercise.

            Jul 21, 2020 21:43 AM

Me too. One year at a time. Put one foot before the other… 🙂

          Jul 20, 2020 20:24 PM

Thank you for your thoughts ex! I appreciate it and definitely add it to my tool box of more knowledge.

I don’t know why ex but I’ve heard Gary specifically talking 8 year cycle with gold unless I’m getting it confused. Regardless 7-8 i get the just and i like how you put yourself out there and said 4/5 inning. It helps viewers, myself and others to get a feel of the grand scheme of things.

I’m just curious to know what all of us are going to do after. What will be the next investments or bull? Whatever it is the gang or clan needs to stick around cause 10 brains are better than 1.

Cheers to all I’m done for the day 🙂

            Jul 20, 2020 20:35 PM

Thanks Glenfidish. I believe there will be massive infrastructure projects around the globe that will fuel the Base Metals sector for many years after the PM bull tops out, and Energy will be the other sector I rotate into, as it will always be in demand for people to power all their “stuff.”

So over time during the next 2-3 years I’ll be reducing my PM allocation, and increasing my Copper, Zinc, Platinum, Nickel, Specialty Metals positions for Base Metals, and increasing my Uranium, Lithium, Graphite, and renewable energy positions for the Energy markets.

If real estate takes a nose dive in the next few years then that would be another sector to rotate into as it cools back off from the current frothy levels.

            Jul 20, 2020 20:53 PM

Don’t forget your Theralase Ex! I was thinking about that one the other day.

            Jul 21, 2020 21:46 AM

Hi Canuckski – Yeah, I followed Theralase when they were sponsors here on the KER, but just don’t do much with Biotech other than occasionally do directionaly trades in the ETFs. There are some investors that have also done very well with all kinds of biotech companies lately with all the covid concerns, but I don’t know how to properly value the IP, or the testing results, or the potential, so I mainly just stick with resource and energy stocks.

            Cheers!

Great panther is one i wanted to own for sometime silver. It got ahead of me at the time I wanted to buy it and so I think I added to compass or impact..

I’m all in hard at every major correction on impact. When you got the boys club in here led by the heavyweights than for me it’s a no brainer. I just want impact to be a 30+ bagger without being bought out.

        Jul 21, 2020 21:46 AM

+30 After trimming my Coeur back yesterday my Impact Silver position shot to #1 (it had crept up from 4th, to 3rd, to 1st…) but then I trimmed it back down to third position. Impact was 1 of my 3 entries in the ceo.ca stock picking contest for 2020 because I believed then, like a believe now that some of their best discoveries are still in front of them on their well-endowed land package, and as a higher cost producer, they’ll have some of the most leverage to rising Silver prices especially as it breaks above their costs of around $17-$18 Silver and gets up into the low $20’s, which is precisely the scenario we find the market in now. It’s no accident that IPT was leading the charge on a day like we saw in the Silver stocks on Monday.

          Jul 21, 2020 21:16 AM

IPT has been on a roll again today. Fantastic action.

I ended up doing a great deal of trading and reshuffling so far today, starting in the premarkets and trading around positions. I bought a bunch of positions and trimmed some of them back already, and then bought more again lower, but I had to ease up on trimming back any more so my account doesn’t get flagged as a pattern day trader (which I’ve had before and prefer to have the standard set up), so in some stocks I’m going to have to hold until tomorrow before doing any more selling.

      Jul 20, 2020 20:58 PM

I’ve had about 4K of GP for sometime and was planning to hold it till we get as close to our top as possible.

How people can trade without the tools is beyond me but to each there own. For the record I used probably 40/50 percent of what Matt charts last year and returns we decent. This year I tweaked it by literally watching his and I’m having returns off the charts. Whoever tells you it doesn’t work is blinded.

Glen, the more I look at all the charts the more I doubt my recent comments about a high of significance occurring in mid to late August. The metals are beautifully out of sync which allows one to support the other when one is strong and the other is weak and trying to correct.
Quarterly silver now looks a lot like gold in April, 2019 and that is a great development for the entire sector since a real bull requires silver’s blessing (silver MUST confirm gold and it will do so in spades from here). It’s exciting stuff so don’t tell anyone. Bull markets hate investor confidence and aren’t nice when dealing with it.

            Jul 21, 2020 21:20 AM

            Matt,

With your current view, that would put let’s say gold into gradual stair climbing “wall of worry” as it has be doing and more of a sideways/slightly lower consolidation in its next low. That low would come later on the fall but not a massive low.

This is the low yourself, ex, Gary and a selected few have mentioned. It when then be an explosive move higher again. From which a bigger correction would come.

Food for thought.. who ever said picking tíos was easy 😬

Matthew, if silvers latest development does indeed resemble golds movements in April 2019 then we could be be in for an exciting ride with the white metal. One thing at a time though!

So do we see Kootenay in the .40’s before the end of the week??? …I don’t see why not…..they don’t have a financing in their near future I hope

    Jul 21, 2020 21:34 AM

I’m sure I might be corrected by our vastly superior TA experts but I’d say this morning we are hitting major resistance on silver when looking at a monthly chart

    Jul 21, 2020 21:13 AM

Ex, only 40 cents till silvers 2016 high is hit. This impulse move we are witnessing so far this week is crazy and now ahead of itself. That doesnt mean it wont keep going though.

      Jul 21, 2020 21:03 AM

Hi Ozibatla – Silver futures are actually above their 2016 high of $21.23 right now 30 minutes before the open — currently at $21.43!!

Folks better strap in for the ride!!

          Jul 21, 2020 21:17 AM

I’ve been buying a number of companies in the premarkets as most are only up 5-7% so far, but I bet we’re going to have another crazy double digit day in many miners.

            Jul 21, 2020 21:23 AM

Gold futures at $1840. I’m elated thinking of where these mining stocks are going to go today.

        Jul 21, 2020 21:35 AM

Yeh sorry Ex, I accidentally referred to spot instead of futures. Even spot has gotten close so far.

          Jul 21, 2020 21:40 AM

No worries. It’s turning out to be another “rip-your-face-off” rally today as the PMs are really breaking out here, but along with the euphoria, one still should exercise caution at how much the metals have run so fast. With Siver, it’s a good ole fashioned short squeeze.

            Jul 21, 2020 21:46 AM

Agreed. These squeezes always have a nasty side. Just a matter of pre-empting them as best we can. Try and take the emotion out of it and not get caught up in the euphoria. Easier said than done when silver jumps over $1 in a single day.

            Jul 21, 2020 21:50 AM

I bought in during the premarket in some stocks and already traded back out of some of them when they surged higher. They are pulling back now, so I may reload and do it again, but will be lightening up even more by the end of the day in some positions.

    Jul 21, 2020 21:23 AM

Keep an eye on this spike in silver. Wherever it peaks, I think it may just somewhat equally turn back to an extent. Just a hunch!

    Jul 21, 2020 21:27 AM

I was wondering if we would perhaps fall towards 80 in the GSR before the years out. We will get there by Friday at this rate. A crazy couple of days so far for silver.

    Jul 21, 2020 21:28 AM

Haha Ron Burgandy! Funny man. Things have escalated quickly. A positive development for silver. As long as we dont get despondent when it pulls back soon.

Metallic Minerals Corp (MMG) (MMNGF) [neighbors to Alexco at Keno Hill, Yukon]

July 21, 2020 – Crux Investor interview with CEO Greg Johnson #VIDEO

“#Silver, #gold and #copper are the areas of focus with the potential of a porphyry system on the cards. It is led by a team with a solid track record that has previously provided 100x returns for very early-investors of NovaGold. ”

“A significant drill programme on the company’s flagship silver-gold asset is planned for this year, and Johnson claims historical data and technical research, such as soil sampling, has proven there is some really promising geology within Metallic Minerals silver-gold land package.”

      Jul 21, 2020 21:19 AM

Thanks for the note Ex. I am just about getting ready to dump my Avino shares for some more Metalilc.

        Jul 21, 2020 21:35 AM

Sounds like a good plan to me Charles. I’ve reduced my Avino down by 75% selling most of it on that last update about more union issues blocking entrance to their mine. They’ve underperformed the sector years now, but I left 25% of the original position in place as a tracking position, just in case they can get their operations turned around and surprise folks.

I feel much better about Metallic Minerals than Avino, and have increased my size in it for this years exploration program, as I really liked what they were finding in geo chem, trenching, and drilling last year. Also, I have full believe in the grades of Keno Hill, just from Alexco who continues to hit paydirt all over the place, and Metallic has already confirmed that same trend runs directly onto their property as well. Also, with Alexco looking to go into production by the beginning of next year, that will only get more attention on Metallic as well.

Good luck to you in the markets Charles!

          Jul 21, 2020 21:48 AM

          believe = belief

            Jul 21, 2020 21:01 AM

Thanks Ex. and I agree with all your points and reason for making the change. I just hope I sell Avino before Metalic goes on another run. Its tough because I feel like in the short term, Avino has more gas in the tank and is outperforming Metallic currently.

            Jul 21, 2020 21:39 AM

Yes, the thing with explorers is one is never quite sure exactly what day drill results will hit in a press release, and this can substantially move the smaller Jr explorers.

Avino has done a bit of catching up to Metallic lately, but if one looks at the last 2 years, ASM has substantially underperformed MMG.

            http://schrts.co/JCNhTiwD

            Jul 21, 2020 21:42 AM

I don’t really like the comparison because ASM is a producer and MMG is an explorer/developer so they are a bit apples and oranges, the explorers can have much more torque than producers in general, especially a sluggish one like Avino.

But if one compares Avino to say Impact it is the same kind of underperformance:

            http://schrts.co/zBcFdKvC

            Jul 21, 2020 21:47 AM

Over the last year or so, we see the same basic under-performance in Avino Silver & Gold (ASM) versus Santacruz Silver (SCZ). Avino has more room to run now, but it hasn’t done as well as most other smaller silver producers since things really started heating up in mid 2019 through mid 2020.

    Jul 21, 2020 21:16 AM

This is crazy action in the silver stocks. Talk about a rocket ride!
