Once again I yielded to temptation and bought more NSRPF@1.92 today.
I tried to buy NFGFF when it was at 3.18 this morning but my broker would not take my order on the automated system. 15 minutes later NFGFF was up to 3.50 so I bought NSRPF instead. O well, maybe NSRPF will be better.

      Jan 06, 2021 06:39 PM

Very foolish buying Novo with so many higher quality PM companies out there. NSRPF down 4% today because you bought it.

Seems like Quentin’s hand is running with his involvement with Crescat & and Travis Costs. And not so much his endeavors the last 2-3 years on his own. But I think Novo will” be a success in time

          Jan 06, 2021 06:05 PM

          Tavi Costa

            Jan 06, 2021 06:43 PM

Agreed Marty. Those reviews that Quinton does with Tavi Costa and the Crescat crew have been pretty informative on how he views different deposit types, why they could be so massive, and what the unanswered questions are that they are trying to figure out through their exploration programs.

I’m only positioned with a few companies that Q.H. is consulting – Lion One, Novo, and Precipitate Gold. He is also consulting Defiance Silver and that one has definitely been running higher lately, (so much so that I felt compelled to trim it back some over the last 2 weeks, even though I’m still very bullish on their project).

            Ever Upward!

        Jan 06, 2021 06:07 PM

NSRPF is not down because I bought it. I paid 1.92 and that’s where it closed, so maybe my purchase stopped the fall. Moriarity thinks Novo will be the biggest gold company in the world in 50 years.

Doesnt do me much good, I will be out long before then.

            Jan 06, 2021 06:14 PM

If correct, I think it does you more good than you think. It would be no small feat if it were to become the biggest gold producer in 50 years. Today, at the bottom of a secular bear market, Newmont is valued at $52 billion or about 120 times Novo’s $442 market cap. So, if Novo went up 20 times in the next 5 years while Newmont went up 3 times, Novo would still be worth just a little over 5% of Newmont yet you’d be pretty happy. That scenario is not too far-out even if Novo is destined to achieve just a portion of Bob’s predicted success.

Fosterville South just started drilling yesterday, so I bought a few thousand shares today.

I consider they are in a highly prospective area, but that’s just a non-expert opinion.

    Jan 06, 2021 06:36 PM

    PMs should be rocketing higher.

      Jan 06, 2021 06:41 PM

Should be….but all the patriots are on the square……..not at the coin shop… 🙂

BIGGEST DAY in OUR HISTORY……and so many people are silent……really freaking sad.

      Jan 06, 2021 06:20 PM

      REALLY FREAKING SAD…….I repeat….

        Jan 06, 2021 06:05 PM

Jerry, the creation of the Federal Reserve over 100 years ago was a much bigger deal and the masses were just as stupid then as they are now. And don’t forget the world wars the leftists got everyone into along with their assaults on natural rights.

          Jan 06, 2021 06:40 PM

Hello Matthew……I would agree, that the FAKE FED, recreated, several time in the last 200 years, called different things…..is a big deal….From Jackson forward the Crown has been doing the same crap….
Today, was just a day to try and turn around the last effort…..maybe of personal freedom going bye bye.
I think the one’s who are aware of what is happening, are responsible to enlighten the stupid.
We have a group of pretend politicians who have created a cabal , and enriching themselves , the do not represent the WE THE PEOPLE, ….
The system is most likely gone over the hill,…but, that does not mean we should or will accept ….OUR GOD GIVEN RIGHT……I know that sound stupid to most who do not believe in GOD, …so be it. Funny how we can come to the NEW WORLD, for religious freedom, and in less than four hundred years,….going back into captivity…..

Trump Calls Beijing Biden’s Illegal Vote Dumps ‘Explosions of Bullsh*t’; Massive Crowd Chants ‘Bullsh*t’ in Unison

    Jan 06, 2021 06:33 PM

Trump thought that he could make a difference in World Politics. Anybody who thinks that is a fool. He fell into the pit that most people fail to see, his ideal of life was a distortion of fact. He pictured the world not as it was, but as he wished it to be. Human beings are too selfish to care about the welfare of humanity. He thought he could make a change but his thinking is broken and so is the thinking of mankind. We as a species are a failed experiment doomed to end up in the ash heap of history like the dinosaurs. Our species cannot cope anymore with the technological change we have implemented. DT

      Jan 06, 2021 06:39 PM

Ask Musk about how much he paid in taxes last year, he doesn’t care about his species, he only considers himself. LOL! DT

      Jan 06, 2021 06:59 PM

      Well said DT. I agree!

    Jan 06, 2021 06:31 PM

Big Al. Kindly quarantine the politicos to the politics board.

      Jan 06, 2021 06:47 PM

Yes, let’s all go back and cower down…..and let the golden nuggets fall…
If, they would keep up on the other board, we would not be overflowing here… 🙂

        Jan 06, 2021 06:55 PM

Jerry, my bad. As a proponent of ‘Jerry exceptionalism’ I should have said all political commentary to the politics board excepting yours.

Tough luck today. I thought scraping up 39 patriots to switch 39 electoral college votes would be a piece of cake.

They don’t bake em like they used to.

          Jan 06, 2021 06:00 PM

Talk about a tough crowd …

            Jan 07, 2021 07:30 AM

I have all the real estate I need – over 25% of holdings – not including primary residence. Hard call to make – add to R/E or PM – I know what the crowd thinks, and that’s why I am hesitating on the decision.

            Jan 07, 2021 07:56 AM

CEO…….sorry, about being grumpy…….I was having what I thought was a little humor …..but, that is ok….Like you , ditto on the real estate holdings….I have mentioned on this show….I love real estate.

            Jan 07, 2021 07:03 AM

Oh, and thanks for the conversation, have a great day….Best…
And I agree with you, it is a hard decision.

      Jan 06, 2021 06:20 PM

I agree wholeheartedly Jerry. Unfortunately bitcoin is going higher now and thats where the attention and more importantly new money is parked at the moment. Whilst not a big fan compared to gold, it seems to tie in better with millennials. Perhaps because of its connotation to technology? For gold to go substantially higher, I believe amongst other factors, gold needs new investors off the sidelines. This will occur but bitcoin is stealing the limelight presently.

Dan Morehead: The Next Phase of the Crypto Bull Market (w/ Raoul Pal)

        Real Vision Finance – Jan 6, 2020

“Dan Morehead, CEO and founder of Pantera Capital, joins Real Vision CEO Raoul Pal to discuss the current macro setup and its relationship to crypto as well as why this crypto bull market is different from the last and what the potential benefits could be from incoming regulations. Morehead explains what the focus at Pantera Capital has been over the past several months, including what he expects to outperform in the crypto sector. He also describes how he sees the crypto ecosystem evolving over the next few years and why the entry of Paypal into the crypto space is significant.”

        > Filmed on December 8, 2020. Key Learnings:

“With his extensive knowledge of the macro world, Morehead brings a wealth of expertise to the crypto space, and he expounds on what factors may have contributed to the recent surge in crypto interest and value. He describes why Bitcoin will likely continue to do well; however, he elaborates on why he expects other crypto assets to outperform and why Bitcoin might not be able to outperform some smaller assets in the sector.”

Bitcoin at new all time highs to $37,386. This run higher has been relentless.

            Jan 06, 2021 06:46 PM

I’ve completely sold out of the GBTC position now, in 5 tranches, and entered in 4 tranches and got a little less than a triple out of it in 4/12 months.

It looks like the Bitcoin price is just going to keep climbing into a steeper parabola, and this ascent has been insanely strong, with only very small corrections over the last month or two.

If there is a somewhat meaningful correction then I’ll buy back into GBTC, but for now I’ve cashed out my chips at $30.48 on the 12/21/20, $32.88 on 12/30/20, $35.21 on 01/04/21, $37.89 on 01/05/21, and the last portion at $41.94 today on 01/06/21. My average cost basis was $12.67. Of course, it decided to keep on blazing to close higher at $43.93.

I started investing when Bitcoin was in the $10K-$12K range, and added more at around the $14K range, so when Bitcoin got into the $30K-$35K this week, and in such a short time span, it exceeded the investing goal I had which was just to double my money in it over a year. It was a solid speculation and return on investment in 4 1/2 months, but I’m likely leaving money on the table exiting the rider here. Regardless it was a fun ride, and I may jump back in on any corrective moves, but only with partial position buys.

            Jan 07, 2021 07:31 AM

I think Michael Saylor is responsible for 50% of the Bitcoin move the last 4 months with his YouTube video dialogue

            Ex:
            Great move on cyber.

            Jan 07, 2021 07:18 AM

Well as postulated, I exited the parabola too early here, as now GBTC is up to $47.46, and it doesn’t seem to matter how far above the moving averages the current price has run, it just keeps running with Bitcoin. For reference the 21 day EMA is $21.66. and the 55 day EMA is $15.66. By any measure these prices are way stretched, but that’s what happens in a massive mo-mo trend.

Oh, bought the dip in Pure Gold mining today. Looks cheap down here.

    Jan 07, 2021 07:23 AM

Well played on the cryptos Ex. Thats a nice return in a short space of time. Bitcoin has just never sat comfortably with me personally. I very nearly got into creating an account back in 2013 when it was around $60 but I just felt uneasy about the whole process. Hindsight is a wonderful thing and I would have gained a whole lot of money but I dont lose sleep over it. At nearly $40000 this is just a crazy runup of late. Of course what goes up must come down but when will it come down?

      Jan 07, 2021 07:05 AM

Looks like it is going a lot higher…..I figured out the halving idea……and expressed such the other day…..

      Jan 08, 2021 08:20 AM

      Thanks Ozibatla.

The value set up made more sense to me the more research I did especially over the last 3-4 years of looking into it deeper. When Raoul Pal over at Real Vision went from like a 25% allocation to a 50% allocation, keeping 25% in Gold and 25% in cash that really got my attention, and I considered that I should at least have some exposure to the sector again, as I was invested back in 2016 and into mid 2017. When Raoul Pal then moved his cash, and eventually sold all his gold to move the vast majority of his funds outside of some liquid cash and his real estate, it seemed a bit extreme to me, but I’m sure he’s cleaned up nicely on that trade the last few months.

After getting the GBTC position and watching it rise with Bitcoin, I feel good using it again as a way to participate in the pricing moves, but with an easier to trade security. I didn’t really want to commit to buying the actual cryptos and doing the digital wallet thing quite yet, but I’m sure the day is coming where many people will have some kind of “digital wallet”.

    Jan 07, 2021 07:44 AM
