Ryan King, VP of Corporate Development for Calibre Mining Corp (TSX:CXB – OTC:CXBMF) joins me to recap their Q1 Financial Results, a 200% expansion of resources over 2019, growth with their hub and spoke mining strategy, and aggressive exploration plans at multiple targets.

We start off with a review of the growth in net income, working capital, cash generated, and cash on hand. Next we shift over to new spokes Panteon & Pavon Norte, delivering ore to their Libertad Mill hub, and plans for throughput expansion. There is a lot of drilling planned for this year with 15 drill rigs turning funded from cash-flowing production. Ryan also touches on the work being done on their Borosi Copper project by their JV partner Rio Tinto.

Please email me with any follow up questions for Ryan regarding any aspect of Calibre Mining. My email address is Fleck@kereport.com.

Good update from Caliber on all the projects they are working on from adding more deposits that are feeding their central mill, to all the exploration work. That’s a big exploration effort with 15 drill rigs being deployed, and I’m interested to see what Rio Tinto does on that copper JV.

I’m a bit disappointed that I sold a few copper stocks (like Filo and Atico) when it got up over $4.10, as copper has continued to truck even higher. I did have good runs in both of them though.

I still have some copper plays left though like Dore Copper, Sierra Metals, Kodiak Copper, Western Copper & Gold, and have more recently been building positions in companies with Copper that haven’t run as much yet like Excelsior Mining, US Gold, Granite Creek Copper. In addition, there are some gold, silver, and pgm stocks in my portfolio that have nice copper credits.

Preaching to the choir Ex……. I’ve got more exploration plays than producers as I expected the copper story but didn’t anticipate it happening this fast……at least I have kdk bwcg that are both hitting exceptionally with the drill….could be a race to $5 for the two of them now that bwcg has almost caught up to kdk price wise

Yes, you Black Wolf position has been doing quite well recently, and I really like the prospects for Kodiak to keep hitting. When do you think Excelsior Mining will really get moving?

Starting to go from the when camp to the if camp and wondering if it will ever work. Q1 numbers should be out next week or 2. Maybe an update in conjunction with that???

Thanks. Yes, we’ll see if it gets the memo that Copper is now up near $4.75 continuing to break out to new all time highs every day lately. I just think Excelsior Mining has a cool name 🙂
