“But Maloney has taken the opposite tack,” according to Politico.
In August, he reportedly threatened to withhold campaign contributions to any “moderate” Democrats who refused to vote for the exorbitant “Build Back Better” plan.
Then in the fall, Maloney used Twitter to slam a vulnerable Democrat, New Jersey Rep. Josh Gottheimer, for the alleged crime of urging Pelosi to allow a stand-alone vote on the so-called bipartisan infrastructure bill.
This afternoon @POTUS stood with @SpeakerPelosi and 95% of the @HouseDemocrats and said the opposite: that his historic vision for America first requires a Build Back Better reconciliation deal. That’s the way a bipartisan infrastructure bill will win the votes to become law.
