Economically we are in stagflation.
Nothing that the Federal Reserve or the White House will do will get us out of stagflation.
What needs to be done is to CUT government spending and regulations, but biden will do the opposite.
This guarantees an extended rececession. The economic malaise will continue until something unpredicted happens.
At some point in the future external influences (as opposed to internal U.S. politics) will happen.
It could be CCP invasion of Taiwan…..Who knows?
However, I believe a Black Swan event, whatever it is, will cause the U.S. to shift out of its linear ecenomic system projection.
There are several obvious areas of concern:
Taiwan: Pelosi may annoy the CCP by visiting, but CCP invasion is more problematic.
Ukraine: Here some kind of mistep could easily lead to WWIII.
To some extent it is a proxy war, but it would not take much to get major powers getting into direct conflict.
Middle East: Here the opposing parties are shifting out of traditional alignments.
Turkey and Iran are changing……probably both ending up allied with Russia, and unconcerned about any action the U.S. might be capable of.
(Israel is not capable of eliminating Iranian nukes, by direct military action.) But we probably have 18 months to 2 years before the Iran situation becomes critical.

The First (next) critical problem the U.S. will have to face is a financial/economic collapse; triggered by a food or money shortage. It will not start in the U.S., but a black swan event will crash some foreign entity that will cascade into crashing other banks or supply chains.
I don’t see a clear path to the 2024 elections, without something happening.
The Grand Solar Minimum Cycle (24K year cycle) is predicted to cause non-linear, unexpected behavior.
We are expected to have several years of earthquakes and violent extremes of weather, before eventually we experience significant temperature declines.
