Good point Jerry… Additional info could be useful… My belief (I could be wrong) is that Treasury notes disappeared in 1933 with FDR, gold confiscation, and associated legislation that closed domestic convertibility of the dollar to gold.

If the US military is virtually always used for wars of aggression, where many innocent civilians are killed by US troops, then why should we support the troops at all? We don’t support or praise serial murderers, so I don’t understand why we should praise our troops at all. Perhaps we should be universally condemning our military, rather than constantly propping it up and praising it. I am not blaming the troops themselves so much, they are “following orders”, but I am strongly condemning all the military leaders and the politicians that send them to kill people overseas under false pretenses.
