For whoever missed it, yesterday JP Morgan blocked all Russian money transfers all on their own. There are no reports of additional sanctions being place by the US, just JPM moving ahead and really angering Russia. With Russian foreign ministry described the JPM decision as “illegal and absurd” this move could have ramped up the tensions between the west and Russia.
