Dr. Frieda says, “I was on the nominating committee for Mayor. There were just a few of us and we needed to decide over two of the nominees. We interviewed them extensively. After hearing Mayor Kurpis speak about his determination to succeed from the wrong side of the tracks I quickly changed my vote. I knew then that he would put the same determination into succeeding to make our town a better place.
