TOP-11 “ONLY IN AMERICA” OBSERVATIONS — BY A CANADIAN*

1) Only in America could the rich people – who pay 86% of all income taxes – be accused of not paying their “fair share” by people who don’t pay any income taxes at all.

2) Only in America could people claim that the government still discriminates against black Americans when they have a black President, a black Attorney General, and roughly 18% of the federal workforce is black while only 12% of the population is black

3) Only in America could they have had the two people most responsible for our tax code, Timothy Geithner, the head of the Treasury Department and Charles Rangel who once ran the Ways and Means Committee, BOTH turn out to be tax cheats who are in favor of higher taxes.

4) Only in America can they have terrorists kill people in the name of Allah and have the media primarily react by fretting that Muslims might be harmed by the backlash.

5) Only in America would they make people who want to legally become American citizens wait for years in their home countries and pay tens of thousands of dollars for the privilege while we discuss letting anyone who sneaks into the country illegally just ‘magically’ become American citizens.

6) Only in America could the people who believe in balancing the budget and sticking by the country’s Constitution be thought of as “extremists.”

7) Only in America could you need to present a driver’s license to cash a check or buy alcohol, but not to vote.

8) Only in America could people demand the government investigate whether oil companies are gouging the public because the price of gas went up when the return on equity invested in a major U.S. oil company (Marathon Oil) is less than half of a company making tennis shoes (Nike).

9) Only in America could the government collect more tax dollars from the people than any nation in recorded history, still spend a Trillion dollars more than it has per year – for total spending of $7-Million PER MINUTE, and complain that it doesn’t have nearly enough money.

10) Only in America could politicians talk about the greed of the rich at a $35,000.00 a plate campaign fund-raising event.

Only in America could the ATF purposely allow licensed firearm dealers to sell weapons to illegal straw buyers hoping to track the guns to Mexican Drug Cartel leaders, with the expectation that this would lead to their arrest and the dismantling of the cartels.

      Dec 20, 2012 20:28 PM

Now that, Machine Gun, is a great point. Obvious, but still great!

Only in America, would you have a Government that allows it’s plastic generals to attack “SMALL WEAK COUNTRIES” .. MURDERING thousands of children ( because that’s how these perverted ass holes get their JOLLY’S OFF ) While thinking about banning the ownership of guns by it’s people, because some nutter kills American children.
Only in America ..Can the people at the top commit “FRAUD” on a massive scale, & “NOT” get prosecuted.
Only in america…can supreme court judges , “IGNORE” the CONSTITUTION to please their ELITE masters, When they should be serving the American People
I could go on but i think i said enough…..No sod it , Only in America are the people so dumbed down, that they allow a small group at the top , to walk all over them, instead of fighting back.

I wish the great people of America would stand up to those that are using them and help free the rest of the world they are oppressing in the process.
#9-Unfortunately,your masters of the last 100 years have tacked on not one trillion of debt in the last year, but seven trillion dollars, according to an interview with John Williams of Shadow Stats released yesterday.
He states : “It is beyond belief and definitely beyond containment.”

John is absolutely brilliant, Matt. I am proud to call him a friend!

JJ….I know i’m turning into a grumpy old git. The fact is i love ordinary people, regardless of nationality. What gets to me is, the fact that over 95% of the people on the planet, have allowed a tiny % to push them around, & the majority are too dumb or lazy to fight back. I try to live as much of my life as i can…outside of the system……Or to quote the character from that old tv series …I’M NOT A NUMBER,I’M A FREE MAN.

      Dec 20, 2012 20:03 PM

Ur my kind of man then Irish… and no, I’m not hitting on you.
p.s. I think Americans have in the past been proactive and involved. There is just partisan division, because of media bias and people digging in their entitled heels. It’s that and 90% don’t have clue about how gov’t balance sheets will affect them. Canadians are a bit more apathetic to gov’t mis-management. Maybe it’s because western societies are getting dumber, more selfish and entitled.

      Dec 20, 2012 20:33 PM

Or as Bob Seeger of the Silver Bullet Band so eloquently put it “Damn It I Am a Man”.

By the way I know that you are concerned, and my back is healing up from all those spikes!

I have a question for you – as i read and listen to you all the time. What happened to the $35.00 – $40.00 that Silver was going to be before year end? The Silver Guru called this price 3 weeks ago? Of course David Morgan called $60.00 Silver by year end in January. What do you think? Thanks Ben

    Dec 20, 2012 20:02 PM

    By the way Great Show!!!

      Dec 20, 2012 20:32 PM

All true Ben, I think Mr.Morgan lost some credibility when he said silver to $75 and after it went to $26 he said he sold at about $50, naturally he knew all along and he only mentioned it to his subscibers cause he feels it fair to paying customers.somthing like that.
I figure his paying subscribers might still want to know what he says but
with all the bs that goes on in this market I see no need for that kind of thinking from “gurus” That said, he has done some incredible research, altho I have seen him take some off the u tube as well.

        Dec 20, 2012 20:18 PM

While I feel that those “where will x stand in one year?” questions are indicators of stupid interviews, I disagree with your representation of statements during March and April 2011. Early enough, both Moriarty and Morgan indicated publicly that it was a good time to sell silver.

          Dec 21, 2012 21:43 PM

          Can’t disagree, impeachemall!

Remember, both of them are friends of mine!

    Big Al,
If you ever could manage it could you do a piece with Mr. Williams or even have a sort of round table on his recently published work re: hyperinflation?
That would be outstanding given his credibility and credentials.
    Many thanks.

Only in America can you take an herb that your first president grew for money and make it illegal through racist and facist channels and complain that it pacifies your populace then complain about violence from your youth and jail pot smokers and the violent offenders as if they were the same thing.

    Dan

      Dec 21, 2012 21:04 AM

Are you seriously saying Geo. Washington grew Marijuana? I seriously doubt it. Anyway that’s not an herb. Herb is like parsley or dillweed. GLTU

Cool find Mathew, were those 20 foot tall hemp plants in the background in the middle of the clip? Most people wouldn’t beleive a word of what we discussed about hemp here.

            Dan

            Dec 21, 2012 21:33 AM

Dan, I think those were hemp plants. Few know that hemp is a miracle crop with so many uses that it is to plants what silver is to elements.

    Dec 21, 2012 21:48 AM

Most people would be very surprised to find out that not only was heroin available over the counter 100 years ago, but it was used in children’s cough syrup.
Pharmacists said ‘Heroin clears the complexion, gives buoyancy to the mind, regulates the stomach and bowels, and is, in fact– a perfect guardian of health.’ — I found this here: http://www.barefootsworld.net/history_lesson_1908.html

To get this back on topic, let’s say “only in America do people forget so quickly where they came from!”

    Dec 21, 2012 21:05 AM

I actually have no idea why pot got to be against the law, truly a stupid thing to make it illegal, anybody that has ever smelled the stuff knows that. It also goes against liberty, must just be another method of governments trying to control people.
The old government films that were telling people that anyone that smoked the stuff turned into raving murderous lunitics are funny to see, funnier still is some people believe what the governments told them, actually maybe people believing their governments is not that funny.

      Dec 21, 2012 21:35 PM

No, benb, it is certainly not funny!

I just watched the video Matt provided about the hemp fuel and automobile, unreal,
I never heard of this, I have heard about alot of uses but the uses just dont seem to end.
In alberta hemp is being grown, not used for much but its a start I guess.
Al, you anywhere near point roberts? There is a piece of land that belongs to the U.S. that you would have to drive thru canada to get to, I launched a few times from there to go fishing Just not sure of the name anymore, blaine maybe?

      Dec 21, 2012 21:35 PM

Yep, benb, our official address is Blaine. We are directly 2 miles over water south of White Rock. We can actually see Point Roberts not from our place but from just down the street.

    Nice end of town.

      Dec 21, 2012 21:54 PM

Yep, it really is. And, you can get real estate up here for literally 50 cents on the dollar. It is rather amazing!

I am actually kind of considering cutting way back on golf and getting a little boat. It is really a paradise for boaters.

You are in Rumrunner’s territory,Big Al.
The Rum would run out of the Gulf Islands, through the San Juan islands of NW Washington State and into Puget Sound destinations at night.
    http://www.out-there.com/gulf_islands_national_park.htm
If you ever get out to Sidney,B.C on a ferry going to Anacortes or Vancouver the Rum Runner Pub sits oceanside at the pier in Sidney,B.C.
Great views of Mt. Washington and lots of photos of the rum running days up on the walls of the pub.
Beer’s not bad in B.C. either.Great excuse for an educational excursion.
