“1935 will go down in history for the first time a civilized nation has full gun registration. Our streets will be safer, our police more efficient, and the world will follow our lead into the future.” — Adolph Hitler

Thanks for the link. Do you happen know how credible The Propaganda Professor is? If legit, it could be very useful. I found this there: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ooa98FHuaU0&feature=youtu.be

To be totally honest with you, I would be the wrong one to ask since I question most everything nowadays. I did not even know about the “propaganda professor” until two seconds ago. In fact, I will RARELY go outside of the history books and my good old common sense to discern the times. In my opinion, the Bible is the cream of the crop when it comes to truth — it can be trusted!!! That said, I always try to filter out the garbage via the use of rational thought (2 + 2 = 4, not 5) and then seeing what scripture has to say to make even more sense of things. I will not give you any clear examples, but let’s just say that I believe MANY people are being played like a fine fiddle as we speak.

Hint: what was the French Revolution and why / how was it created? It was a well orchestrated event that was created INTENTIONALLY by the powers that be — it was staged by pitting the “haves” (the 1%) against the “have nots” (the 99%). Let that all sink in for a minute — A STAGED REVOLUTION that was brought about by convincing the “have nots” (99%) that the “haves” (1%) were despots that had to be overthrown (“let them eat cake”). Does that sound remotely familiar to what is going on around the world today? Riots popping up out of nowhere (“we are the 99%”) — is this just one massive coincidence or is history repeating itself? I know what I think, but I will let you decide for yourself!!!

            Jan 11, 2013 11:35 PM

Bentnail, I agree with you about the french revolution. However, I am very willing to go outside the history books.

The U.S. has the lowest life expectancy among rich nations, guns of course. The reports on RT. I dont see how people dont understand that people end up dead with guns around. Not that any of this debate matters, there are so many guns and so much amunition being sold now police departments are having to adjust training due to shortages of amunition. Gun and amunition manufacturers might have been a better place to invest than PM companies for the last year. I think its too bad that people dont understand why they have guns in the states, as it stands I think they buy just out of fear, sad way to live. If they understood why they own guns I think the average guy would have a better chance at living with dignity, purpose and courage. Instead of protecting themselves they might protect each other. imo. Will be interesting to see if Obama goes the third term and disarms the people. I think Paul Craig Roberts is right, “you cant have a police state with an armed population”

      Jan 11, 2013 11:07 PM

Obama….is not going to have a third term….he is going to be lucky if he is not impeached for overstepping his authority….He might have won the electorial college, but, he sure does not have 100% popularity……He should just be happy to get what he can get and get out…..

        Jan 11, 2013 11:11 PM

he is worried, by signing the order, to have life time protection….that should tell you something….

    Jan 11, 2013 11:45 PM

Guns are one Problem. The Right Wing Nuts that think that an armed Society is more Save than an unarmed one, are the Real Problem!

      Jan 12, 2013 12:18 AM

Facts are facts. An armed society IS safer. But that is hardly the point. Who are you or ANYONE to tell others what they can or cannot own? Ignorant scum is the REAL problem.

    Jan 11, 2013 11:35 PM

When seconds matter the police are minutes way!

    Jan 11, 2013 11:55 PM

GUNS ARE LIKE MONEY …….YOU NEVER HAVE ENOUGH OR YOU DO NOT HAVE ANY….

Guns should be outright illegal…if you are found guilty of possession…you should be found guilty of attempted murder because that is what the gun is for.

      Jan 13, 2013 13:47 AM

      TOM…………………”WHAT A LOAD OF RUBBISH”!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

        Jan 13, 2013 13:24 PM

DITTO BIG IRISHTONY.,,,,,,,,,,GLAD TO HEAR FROM YA…….hope everything is ok….

          Jan 13, 2013 13:30 PM

GUNS are works of art. to a gun collector…..and sometimes a good investment…….just like bow and arrows, sticks and stones, have killed as many people…..only the people are bad…not the gun….or stone,or stick….

People are not bad…they are mentally unstable. Give a person like that a gun and he/she will take out quite a few people. I personally don’t want to live like a bird with my head on a swivel watching out every second for predators.

            Jan 13, 2013 13:15 PM

And the list goes on and on, In the Box.

cars, bicycles, sling shots, cell phones, booze (in excess), etc.

IRISHTONY………..Its has to be all out ILLEGAL or all out LEGAL….that’s it….these are peoples lives we are talking about here. Personally I would rather all guns be completely destroyed and not a one to be found on this planet.

But if it were to happen to be all out LEGAL…I would have one hand on my gun all day long…what kind of life is that?

      Jan 13, 2013 13:31 PM

In many states, guns ARE “all out legal.” Those happen to be the states with the lowest crime. I have only lived in such states and there was little to fear.
Suicide is the number one cause of injury related death. Those that used a gun skew the “gun violence” number. In fact, if we were to subtract the suicides; criminal on criminal violence; and the thugs who asked for it, we would see a much smaller and more useful number.
Auto accidents are the number one cause of death for those under 34. Overall, cars kill about 4 times as many people as guns. Falls kill twice as many. If we’re talking about random killings, you are about 10 times more likely to be killed by a tornado and about as likely to be killed by lightning. In the 20th century, the number one cause of violent death, by far, was government.
You would have your hand on your gun all day long because because you are paranoid.
By the way, many drugs are “all out illegal.” How has that worked out?
What kind of life is it when thinking people are governed by inferior, ignorant, petty tyrants?

        Jan 13, 2013 13:46 PM

Not a particularly good life Matthew!

Sinclair has a great piece on gun control ……FROM THE COMMONWEATH OF KENTUCKY……..Sheriff says, there is no way that OBAMA IS GETTING HIS GUNS……and that is the law……

      Jan 13, 2013 13:45 PM

And, if gun ownership looks like it is going in the direction of being regulated more by the govt, guess who is going to go out and quietly purchase one and then learn how to use it?
