PAPER AND PHYSICAL…..as SINCLAIR says will separate…..
I CAN not believe we are even talking about paper…..I think,as j.TURK would say,,,
there is not COUNTER PARTY RISK,,,WITH PHYSICAL….,,,,
I can not believe after….all this time….anyone in their right mind,,,is even talking about paper……Talking about paper is giving credibility to something that is contrary to SOUND MONEY……
Yes, I understand we need to see and hear all sides of the issues,,,,,but,,,YOU do not have to take the first grade over ten times ,,,unless you are a dunce……

The regular makets are in decline as a reguler part of the Krondratieff cycle.
This simply the nature of economic cycles. The Dow/gold ratio will go below 2 in all probability. It has before and it will again.

      Apr 18, 2013 18:19 PM

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS KRONDRATIEFF CYCLE…….this is man made BS…..
WINTER,SPRING,SUMMER,,,FALL……I know the story…..and if everyone was to play this fiddle……they would not need to be here on this site,,,,
they would just plug in their computer, and trigger a trade,,,,and bam…..they would be an instant Billionaire…….THE ONLY KRONDRATIEFF(spelling?) ….is the emporor is naked in summer….needs to get his sweats out in the fall,,and needs to get his buffalo robe on in winter…….Spring all life begins again…..ooooooooooooooooootb…………ps……just have fun…..

        Apr 18, 2013 18:57 PM

Well, we already know most market analysts and the big traders are really Vampires!

Just fooling around David. Good comments.

By the way Al, you had said the other day you picked up some great insights while you were up in Vanouver but I never heard another word about it. Maybe keeping us in suspense until the Weekend Show? Curious minds would like to know who you were talking to too up there (it is my home town so I like to keep in touch).

Ok, now before I go on I want to offer an insight into why Gold was taken down last week. David Morgan, who is a very bright guy and more tuned in to metals than almost anyone, brought up the issue of phsychological impact.

OK. This is Economics 101. We are all going to learn something new today about symbols. You see, David could not have been more right. Golds collapse is a sinking designed to have the largest impact possible on investor sentiments and put fear into the hearts of anyone who might have believed she was a safe to ride.

This was meant to have the impact of a meteor crater.

If the movers and shakers in the world decide they need to make a very public statement and put some black doubt and fear into the hearts of people (gold investors in this case) then they will make a statement and send a message so profound only fools will ignore it. The message is found in symbolism though, not on technical analyst charts or in the realm of fundamentals. We need to step outside the constructs of the business world in fact in order to learn what really just happened.

We all know Gold is unsinkable.

A thousand analysts and market makers have told us so. The business media has comforted us. Experts of reknown are lined up on one side of the boat assuring the passengers that everything will be fine. We should buy now of course; gold can only rise. And surely it will. We know it in our hearts. That is why the music is still playing.

Its future is pretty much guaranteed.

All the knowledge we have about how much money is being printed, how far Central Banks have gone along the road to try to breathe life back into the markets and the economy and the massive bond buying programs all prove just one thing……Gold is the salvation of the worlds economic system if not the most necessary of insurance policies any wise investor must hold.

Nothing can put a hole in its hull. That is why we keep some in our portfolios.

And that is why I want to explain to you and your readers that you are probably in for an unexpected surprise and why you might want to consider your hypothesis before you go down any deeper with this ship.

You see, Gold was taken down on the anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic.

That’s right. The 15th of April, 1912 was a big date. She had sailed from Southhampton on April 10th and five days later sat broken and bloodied on the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean.

The biggest ship in the world and the one that was called unsinkable by the media, struck an iceburg on her maiden voyage to New York City, split in two and sank to a depth of 12,500 feet. She was not discovered again until 1985 which by coincidence was one of the lowest points for gold in the last 30 years.

Now you might think that is all just very interesting unti I throw a couple more numbers at you to prove why this is a symbolic sinking and why the metal might have indeed gone down for good (or at least until the next cycle up).

Just ask me how many souls went down with the ship…..it was 1500 of course. And again, by coincidence 1500 is the number that was breached in Gold on April 15th 2013 exactly as her impenetrable hull was ripped assunder. But of course it does not end there. And this is the best part. Gold collapsed on the 101st anniversary of the Titanics sinking…..not the 100th.

You see this is an education. Call it Economics 101. Gold bugs will learn it soon enough.

You heard it first here (no….this is not a joke).

          Apr 19, 2013 19:02 AM

If gold is dead why are the eastern populations buying it. Don’t they have a much longer history than us?

My theory is that the FED is 100 years old later this year and scrutiny will be drawn towards them so their nefarious activities must be carried out this year.

            Apr 19, 2013 19:47 AM

Dan, I have no idea what is going on but so far I think I have the best explanation yet for why gold crashed!! At least my hair brained theory has numbers and dates that can be attached to it. And don’t you think it odd that the collapse in gold was timed to coincide exactly with the duration of the Titanics fateful voyage from beginning to end? This is quite a good mystery (and now I think Gold is doomed).

Here is the story of the Titanic just for fun reading.

BIRDMAN…..ECONOMICS AND MYSTIC BABBLE,, might be a little different…..but, IF you want to say there is MANIPULATION…..then I would AGREE…..the TITantic,,,was over confidence, and stupidity. ALL could have been saved,,,if they had enough life rafts….,,,I would perfer….that A LIFE RAFT IE GOLD,,,will save your a.. in times of trouble…..I think, that economics,,,was taught as earliest as PLATO,SOCRATES,,,AND BEFORE….and since we have the ROMAN EMPIRE, as a good example,….and have failed to learn from those mistakes,,,we are doomed to repeat the same…..
MAN….causes the problem….with his evil side……SO, we must deal with MAN.,,and MAN-IPULATION………No..problem,,,been there done that……BEST….OOTB….

I am not that much a person who keeps up with all the computer short hand and everyday seems to bring a new acronym for me to chew on. We need a special dictionary just to keep track of modern communications on the internet. I am still back in the days where LOL meant Lord-O-Lord not laugh out loud!

It is a problem that so many of them have been so wrong. It is very discouraging. It’s just Rah, Rah, Rah all the time and people who trust the experts keep pouring money into a burning pit. Cripes….they just still say “keep buying”!!! after all that has happened. Salvation is just around the corner (this time for sure!!! We promise!!!)

Nobody ever seems to have a sell button.

Talking abut raining on even-numbered days, I was at University in Aberdeen years ago and my classmate was from the oppoeist (wester) side of Scotland. He did his degree at Paisley Tech (now Paisley University) near to Glasgow. He told me that he recalled that it rained every day in the 3 years he was there!
