John Kaiser says there are even more junior resource companies with under $200,000 in working capital

June 13, 2013

John has some very interesting things to say about the lack money that is being raised in the resource industry and the restrictions that are limiting any potential growth.

I apologize for my voice, I have just come down with a cold (which makes no sense because it’s summer) but I will be back to 100% in no time.

738 companies with less than $200k……..55% under 10cents per share…….
SOUNDS LIKE MOTH BALL TIME…………….WHAT DO THEY SAY…..
“when there is blood in the street,”…or “time to be picky, picky, picky”

You are right Jerry, it does sound like moth ball time. I still believe there is a great opportunity in some of the these companies but we all need to be extraordinarily selective, and not be worried about another 10%+ pullback if it happens.

      Cheers,
      Cory

Great interview. Really interesting. Thanks all.

You all really need to listen to this assessment from John twice. Everyone needs to tune in to this show for the insights he is offering. Unfortunately I don’t expect any quick turnaround in fortunes and it is inevitable some issues will drop to virtually nothing before being taken over wholesale by some key participants. Plenty others will just vanish as well. If it is now as bad as John suggests the end is already near for hundreds who are only hanging on by their finger nails. One or two more drops in the gold price and they will be going over the edge.

I don’t expect a quick turnaround for many of the juniors either Bird Man. There have already been a number of companies desisted after not filling quarterlies on time and each month I believe this number will grow.
John is an extremely smart guy and was the first to point this out to many investors back in 2012.

      Cheers,
      Cory

I know so little compared to you guys. However isn’t this comparatively old news. Wasn’t it Bob Moriarty who warned of this some months back, and sad as it is for those concerned the clear-out of many junior stocks is as necessary as it is salutary.

Cory, summer colds can be lousy more so when over here we’ve got no summer to speak of!

      Hi Andrew,

I’m really sorry you have no summer to speak of. You should come out to Vancouver for the couple months we get some sunshine.
As for Bob reporting this months ago I believe John was the first to compile the data and summarize it all back in an article he wrote in late 2012. The article went viral because no one could deny the facts he presented. Since John keeps his data very up to date I will be sure to bring this topic up with him next month.

      Cheers,
      Cory

Just jack the number up to $300K or 4400 k and I bet that % number gets a lot higher then 55%

    Geezh what a mess

What was the name of the company financing at .06? atamara? ticker? I appreciate hearing about picks that are not sponsors on this site. Even with full disclosure, there is a certain bias when someone is a sponsor or if someone is invested….I know it must be a good promising company when I hear from someone who has no direct interest in a stock which they are endorsing, when they are at arms length.

Maybe John can tell us what kind of success “Bottom Fish” has had over the years with its system, Cory, and perhaps explain why he may think now is a time ripening to go fishing for Juniors (AFTER the coming fallout of course!). And it can’t hurt if a few hundred of the issues vanish either. Reduces the odds of picking a dud. Thing is we are going into a cycle low point about as deep as they get and that almost always sets up good opportunities for the next up-wave. John is a terrific guest to have on the show in my opinion. Maybe he will even throw us a fish or two.

I wonder what would be a good deposit in X# of ozs per ton in gold be ? What would turn around a market like this as we are experiencing today ? Producing gold as oppose to talking about some day having access to a great deposit thats new as in tech. defining thats not now is…… Also how many mines in your opinion has great deal of iron in them, ie. 50-75%, just wondering. Now this would be ferric iron ?
