    I look at it and see easy SPX 2200. I’ve traded bearish rising wedges before, but geez when this one is broken, gonna be easier slide back to SPX 1600 (??) Would be just a reversion to the mean, right?

      Normally, such a rising wedge runs out of steam; but that could have been predicted of this market for many months now. I do like one of the comments in that article, advocating that one not try to predict or get in front of such a trend change, but wait for it to develop and then ride it. Those who have tried to get in front of what they thought should have been a correction mode have been run over so far.

        Thanks for the reply! Re. “Those who have tried ” present company included, albeit only small positions in SPY puts here and there. Still I don’t like giving my play money away, so I’m re-thinking options strategy going forward–as in selling rather than buying.
