Not understanding why the U.S. market is doing as well as it is?
QE plunge protection, I don’t see why it should ever come down, money only needs to be printed.
The value or purchasing power of that money might be another issue, but why should the market come down?
Only reason I can see is if the “printers” or plunge protection decide it should.
Maybe they short the heck out of it first, they make oodles.
Italy…politically does not look good………..see zerohedge yesterday…..
J? Italy was the political laughingstock of Europe for 30+ years until Greece and Cyprus came along. Now Italy is just trying to regain some of its lost “glory”. /sarcasm
Lost “glory”…..ROME 33AD………..
Our family just came back from Italy tour. I feel that this society has major problems. The churches and buildings in Rome, Florence and Venice are beautiful. There are wonderful architectures and arts to see. However, the rural towns and villages are beaten up. The gap between tourist centers and regular places is big. There are swarm of panhandlers, thieves, and various creative ways to take your money, sometimes almost by force. You can see a lot of street merchants selling all kinds of junk. I did not see similar things in UK and only a little bit in Paris. Even though we had a wonderful trip, we did fall into a few traps and pockets almost picked. Luckily our friends warned us, so we did our money inside our shirts. This is my first time in Italy so I am not sure it is always like this.
I am not sure where they get the money. Nearly one quarter of the turist spots are under major repair.
Didn’t Musolini get the pope back to Rome? I think about the same time he eliminated the mafia, put them all on an island, doing these two things made him a huge hero, he also played a pretty big role in the development of facism I think. Wasn’t until he started losing the war people got critical, in general anyway, it was the americans that returned the mafia back to their glory. lol
Kinda funny how people turn on you when you lose wars.
