What’s up with this?
Just the first of many such stories as the PM sector resumes the rally in earnest. There are literally dozens of “Richmont stories” out there waiting to happen. Call it the “you can’t hold a beach ball underwater forever” phenomenon.
IMHO this is what happens when a company has real earnings. I don’t own any but have followed and owned this company before.
CRJ.TO is one that I stuck by (and bought a lot more of) that definitely has better days ahead, IMO. It is currently up 122% in just over 2 months.

I had a nice number of shares in Richmont going into earnings. I was going to double my share total since I loved the way the technicals looked. I forgot to add and then the earnings came out and the stock took off. I’ve been adding to my positions and even bought more today. I believe I mentioned on Al’s show about how the weekly bollinger bands were really narrowing on Richmont. Most analysists were bearish on the stock; in fact, I believe it was street.com that had a negative article about it recently. And that’s the value of TA; it avoids the fundamental noise on stocks.
Doc any downside targets on GDXJ or GDX? Do you expect lower low on miners and gold below that Hammer candle we got 5-7 days ago? Just trying to feel out what your charts are telling you.
Stewie, there are still good odds that over the next 2-3 weeks, GDX and GDXJ will move lower. At the minimum, we could see an 8-10% down—-I would then have to keep an eye on the technicals to see if we might fall lower.

Great observation abut a possible double top forming Doc. Really good actually. If everyone sees it is happening then something else will take place though.

We are. All in good time, all in good time. $1224, to be exact, but hey ! What’s $4 amongst such good friends, right?
You think before end of August down to $1224? And why do you think so?
I personally don’t think so.
If it doesn’t happen by 8-31, it probably won’t happen, because there are two powerful cycles in gold that both bottom late August as well. “Why” I think $1224 is because it’s the target of an extant Elliott wave structure that I still see as valid.

Nope, I call them as I see them. However, my bullish juices are starting to perk a little. I may get downright bullish in the near future. I must be bullish since I’ve started buying stocks again. I believe the bull is starting to scrape the ground with his hooves.

I kinda agree with Big Al concerning a conventional WWIII, but I wonder if we are not already in WWIII.
I like to travel, and there are now vast tracts of no-go areas of the world.
You want to see Petra in Jordan, the Piramids in Giza, Egypt, other antiquities along the Nile, or what’s left of Carthage? You better think again. Much of the Middle East and Northern Africa is now downright dangerous.
