Agree Chris. Oil headed back up.

On the issue of commodities in general though I have come across a contrarian view that does not exactly mesh with the popular consensus. Have a look at the cycle charts attached and see if they make sense to you. The company that produced them suggests resources are going to be in a bear market for some time to come. I am referring to the first chart called the “Market Map” that has red, green and blue lines on it.

Aren’t the guys in Kiev already the bad guys? For why hasn’t the western media picked up on this sensational piece of news?

The media will never report anything that might suggest that our government had something to do with this. Have you noticed we still haven’t found out about the contents of the black box? My opinion is that they’ve already destroyed the black boxes and will blame Putin for that. Hence, they will come out and say that they cannot verify what happened but since Putin “destroyed” the black boxes it proves that he is guilty.

I came to the painful realization that Western media tends to black out any news which is not in their favor. This is BY FAR more prominent than the places like China, opposite to people’s belief. In US, the media is controlled by the group media tycoons who have a common interest. In contrast, even Chinese government tries to control the media but it has very limited success. All kind of smaller newspapers will report the truth due to people distrust to the government and their natural instinct to find out the truth. Your newspaper sells if you are not following the party line. On the other hand, US public is very complacent and happy to be deprived of information. Who said cocaine is not good for you?

Over here Lawrence the Guardian attempts to buck the trend….Edward Snowden being a case in point.

Speaking of which Handelsblatt (the German equivalent of the Wall st Journal) is telling Europe to wise up over U.S. imposing her sanction requirements towards Russia.

Putin is making Obama look like Stepin Fetchit.

It’s all drama. Don’t fall for any of it.

          Aug 11, 2014 11:22 PM

Of course it’s “all drama”, ‘Bird. The problem, though, is that while YOU know it’s “all drama” and I know it’s “all drama”, there are billions of people out with the IQ of a squirrel and the attention span of a gnat and the critical thinking skills of Lindsay Lohan who think it’s real. And they’re the “grandstand” to whom and for whom the dramatists are performing. Unfortunately for us, there are just too many of “them” for us to stay out of the way of all of “them”. Got your “condo-with-a-view” on the moon, yet? Me, either.

Not on the moon but really isolated and a great view!

You are right about that Dalllas. If we didn’t give them any attention all of this would just fizzle and fade. The world is their grandstand. I have no doubt each has an agenda that is being satisfied though or neither would continue to escalate. Their is something of a popular notion that Obama is being put to shame though and that Putin has won the popularity stakes. There is a Colosseum mentality at play and a lot is at risk. Everybody is losing right now. I hate to see cheering for one side or the other because it just encourages them more.

      Thanks Andrew!

      Interesting read.
