National debt has doubled since financial crisis: budget office
The title says it all. We are going further in debt but then again so is every other country.
Considering the title the article mentions the following facts that might make some people think we are on a better track.
- In its update to its projections for the budget and economy, the agency slightly upped its estimate for the 2014 deficit, which it now expects to total $506 billion, a $170 billion decline from 2013.
- That’s lower than the White House’s projection of $649 billion and would be the smallest deficit since 2007. For the first time, the CBO expects federal tax revenues to eclipse $3 trillion, compared to $3.5 trillion in total spending.
Don’t start thinking everything is coming up roses because by 2016 the deficit is expected to rise again…
None of this matters. Jim Cramer said so.
And it begins. Slowly but surely. http://en.ria.ru/business/20140827/192383783/Russias-Gazprom-Neft-to-Sell-Oil-For-Rubles-Yuan.html
So far all these types of action were met with war. Let’s see how US start war with Russia and China.
Yes. The US has already started the war with Russia…it’s called Ukraine. But so far Putin has been able to avoid the landmines. The real fireworks will start once Germany aligns itself with Russia and China.
They are setting up Russia to take the blame for the US’s economy collapse: http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2014-08-27/fbi-said-to-be-probing-whether-russia-tied-to-jpmorgan-hacking.html
I don’t think Obama is tough enough to go to full scale war with Russia. Putin is former KGB leader and much more ready for war. I am pretty sure that Russian military strength has returned to the former USSR level. I heard this evaluation from Chinese military commentators based on the experience of the joint exercise. Barring a nuclear war, the winner will likely be Russia. No one has won a war with Russia on its own land. Ukraine leaders are clowns. They cannot even control their own people.
Obama will do whatever his handlers tell him to do. When everything else fails, they send you to war. But I agree with you Lawrence, it’s going to be hard to beat Russia on its own land. Napoleon and Hitler didn’t have any luck… and the same fate awaits Obama if he decides to go toe-to-toe with Russia.
FED balancesheet has quintupled.
