GDX looks headed back to its 2009 lows to me. Not far to fall to get there either.
Correct; $20.00 looks like a good entry point at least for a bounce or a double bottom. The technicals should give a clearer picture in October.

Hi Doc,
You’ve stated that you would expect a bounce between now and the sideways/down movement of October. Can you elaborate a little on what you think we might see? That is, how high do you think it might go (if it does)?
Doc fan; I wouldn’t expect much of a bounce—-maybe $10-$15. If it does what I expect in October, a bigger move should take place in November/December—-that move could be $80-$130.

It also provides an opportunity for those that have made mistakes and have short term losses, to actually cash out and Tax-Bank those losses and buy and hold similar stocks for long term capital gains. That is more tax-efficient than just holding on and praying for recovery.
