Agree totally Marc. Nothing will change until we repeal the ” act of 1871 “. Maybe then we can go back to being a republic an not be controlled by an oligarchy. Funny how the sheep think they have a choice voting right or left, when both work for the same interest. ( them selves ) they don’t spend millions to get in office to make 240k a year!

Hi Doc,
Do you have an expectation on where the VIX would bottom, and when it moves up, do you have an expectation for how high it would go?
I believe that the VIX should not move much below 13. The move higher next time should minimally not be less then 25. I believe we’re starting a process just like we did in 2007. In the mid part of this year the VIX was bottoming at 11. It appears at this time that it wants to bottom at a higher level and that would be commensurate with a little more nervousness. Also, the bollinger bands of the daily are very wide with the upper being 26 and the lower being 10. You could get back and forth volatility moving to the end of this year and early next year similar to 2007 before the major move down in the conventional markets—-that may correlate eventually with a rollover in the dollar which is probably in the distant future.
