    Nov 20, 2014 20:52 PM

Where is Roger? Given that you posted a couple of comments on that interview I don’t understand the question. Sorry

Gold and silver in physical form is the BEST form of insurance for your retirement and your families wealth protection out there – BY FAR…GIVEN THE MACRO CONDITIONS OF THE GEOPOLITICAL/ECON0MIC MARKETPLACE it is only growing each and every day….pretty much end of story!

I agree with Doc about the weekly chart. I trimmed my GDXJ calls near the highs today and will probably sell the rest if it doesn’t look like we’re going to get a strong close tomorrow. So far, all we have is a back-test of the breakdown area. If we close the week at this level, we could see another plunge next week. This would be fine with me.

Richmont mines has been one you like Doc and it has been moving another mover is Nevsun Resources.

      Nov 20, 2014 20:18 PM

We will have a look into Nevsun. Thanks for bringing that to our attention DT.

      Nov 20, 2014 20:21 PM

Thanks DT; I’ll take a look at Nevsun as well.

GARY ! Don’t forget Options Expiration ! plees tell us evry time ! ?

      Nov 20, 2014 20:02 PM

I expect gold to churn around $1200 next week as it waits for the stock market cycle to top. Once stocks put in a short term top then gold should give us another leg up to at least $1250.

With all the typing errors I have to suspect that some are either in a big hurry to post something or they are typing in the dark.

    Nov 20, 2014 20:35 PM

    Cory.
In 2007-2008, the relationship was market down ,dollar up. why this time not working? is that mean when the stock market plunging dollar will go down with?

      Nov 20, 2014 20:25 PM

This might be related to carry trade from Japan and Europe.

My heart goes out to those poor souls living in Buffalo New York and it’s surrounding areas, the devastation there from this snow storm is terrible and they are now faced with massive flooding on the weekend. These people live in a depressed area and they can’t get to work or even leave their homes and the weight of 8 feet of snow is causing many roofs to cave in. This is the worst snow storm ever recorded.

    Nov 21, 2014 21:41 AM

    Matt,

are you trimming or adding calls.

      Nov 21, 2014 21:50 AM

      Trimming.

    Nov 21, 2014 21:53 AM

smart. You thinking this rally dies in miners? or we explode higher?

      Nov 21, 2014 21:00 AM

I think GDXJ could go up another $2 or so without a meaningful pullback, but I’ve got to be a seller with gains approaching 100% in 2 days. I will still have some to sell if we get up there. If we plunge first, I will buy again.

        Nov 21, 2014 21:05 AM

A profit is a profit matt.

          Nov 21, 2014 21:07 AM

Yes, and with options, time is not on your side! Big gains can turn into big losses very quickly.

    Nov 21, 2014 21:05 AM

I’ve got conformation on a few miners already breaking above 50 dma..I bet the rest follow. I think this rally has legs for 1-2 more days. We shall see.

      Nov 21, 2014 21:09 AM

I’m not selling any shares or warrants at these levels.

    Nov 21, 2014 21:13 AM

    Thanks for clarifying that.

    Nov 21, 2014 21:14 AM

Matt do you trade shares on short term as well or only long gold shares?

      Nov 21, 2014 21:23 AM

I mostly stick with options for short term trading but will trade the shares if opportunities present themselves. I am extremely bullish long term.

    Nov 21, 2014 21:27 AM

Priced in the 30 year US T bond, gold has reclaimed the 50% fib level.

    Nov 21, 2014 21:40 AM

Priced in gold, the miners sure look like they have bottomed. If so, there will be huge (REAL) gains for many years.

    Nov 21, 2014 21:01 AM

Gold has had a big move and might correct to around 1170.

      Nov 21, 2014 21:13 AM

Any thoughts as to why specifically gold dropped $10 in 10 minutes around noon EST? Looking for news that would cause that! Thanks

        Nov 21, 2014 21:26 AM

The big traders probably have good profits too cash in and short it now as it has reached a resistance level.

          Nov 21, 2014 21:43 AM

          Thanks, Paul. Appreciate.

    Nov 21, 2014 21:17 AM

Something is hitting a lot of commodities around noon EST Friday – oil, gold, silver, copper. Dollar just getting too strong?? In the scheme of things $10 in gold is not much – but if it fails to hold $1180 again? I guess “get used to this”, right? Volatility might pick up. Thanks

      Nov 21, 2014 21:35 AM

If you go to Goldseek and look at the gold, silver, dollar, and euro charts, you’ll see that the action today has been interesting and bullish for the metals. Until a few minutes ago, gold and silver were up even though the dollar was also up and the euro was down.
Is this a one day wonder, or the start of a transition that results in gold and the dollar going up together?
From the middle of 2008 to the middle of 2012, gold went up about 80% while the dollar went up about 18%.
Having said all that, I do think the euro will turn up soon, and when it does, it will be very good for the precious metals.

        Nov 21, 2014 21:48 AM

Thanks a bunch, Matthew. I did notice earlier that gold and all commodities basically were strong while dollar was strong, then it changed but perhaps has stabilized now. Sounds like “good for you” that you sold some positions this morning. My EUO and UUP are doing real well, at least for today, and my PHYS and GDX are fine – no big deal. Was just curious. Hope this is not a double post – I have trouble sometimes with this little editor.

    Nov 21, 2014 21:20 AM

Well we either fill the gaps soon and proceed higher or we fall of a cliff. Two choices.

      Nov 21, 2014 21:36 AM

The cliff dive is looking less and less likely to me. I have an order in now to replace part of what I sold this morning.

        Nov 21, 2014 21:43 AM

        Matt

If we close lower today id have to think that is bearish.

          Nov 21, 2014 21:00 AM

I agree with that. My opinion was based on how things look right now. In other words, it seems like we will not close lower today. But you never know.
