Morning guys…I really enjoy listening to your commentaries. Your all doing a great job…keep up the good work. Mr. Fleck your team ever in Calgary?

Agreed. Great thoughts, as per usual, Doc & Cory. Much appreciated!!

Doc, I also liked and agree that we aren’t having a V-shaped recovery, and it will likely be a slug-it-out range at that end where it grinds, and does more of a U shaped or irregular choppy zig-zag recovery with false breakouts. I’m still upbeat for the next week or two, but then expect the weakness into late April and into May.

Good luck to all and everyone have a restful and wonderful weekend!

At least it’s easy to make money in volatility……XIV.

So that no one mis-interpret’s my comment on XIV……
It is not a good time to buy at this moment, because its RSI is high. Since volatility is volatile one always needs tight stops.

    In a recent Gallop pole:
When homeowners were asked to specifically name which energy sources were most important to the nation’s future (we gave respondents the opportunity to select up to three choices), solar (50%) and wind (42%) led the pack, followed by natural gas (33%) and energy efficiency (25%). Much lower in the rankings were one-time energy stalwarts nuclear power (14%) and coal (8%).

      Apr 11, 2015 11:18 AM

That may be ideological thinking in this poll but a good indicator of the final destination for nuclear and coal power. Point noted for the uranium industry.

Agree with your comments. The ETFs have not shown much strength compared to previous rallies out of a ICL. GDXJ peaked at $25.50 whilst gold was trading close to these levels a week ago.

My fave holding in solar is ETF: TAN, but solar city and first solar and others are worth watching.
    Diversity……as the Big One advocates!

I am currently looking for opportunities in water, but that’s because I’m currently in CA.

      Apr 10, 2015 10:03 PM

I’ve been looking at water as well, and bb had a great post from Sept 16th, 2014 at 11:47 with every water company I had ever hear of. Worth checking out.

GOLD IMPORTS DOUBLE IN MARCH THIS YEAR COMPARED TO LAST YEAR IN …INDIA……zerohedge. Imports were 125 tons, to 60 tons last year in march.

Hillary is going to announce her presidential candidacy on Sunday, maybe we should send The Ford Brothers Rob and Doug, aka “ROFO and DOFO” to help her campaign, these guys are real winners and I do mean WINNERS!

      Apr 10, 2015 10:49 AM

DT…..you know it has already been planned that Queen Hillary would be running, that was promised 8 years ago. Jeb will be the Republican boy. Every thing is a side show.

I am hearing that in order to meet debt obligations, Greece is negotiating to sell part of the port at Pireus (Athens). The container part of that port is already owned by Cosco, a Chinese company. Sale of the majority of the rest of the port will affect cruise ships and the large ferry operations.
I am told that the highest bidder for the part of the port up for sale is also Cosco.
(Cosco stands for China OverSeasContainerOperations or something close to that)
I am told that Russia is more interested in Limassol,Cyprus, port (Greece part of Cyprus owned). and is also negotiating with Turkey……don’t have specific details.

      Apr 10, 2015 10:01 PM

Would it be amusing if Russia bought the port and docked warships there for repairs? Crazier things have happened, CFS.

Not impressed. ..not at all Bird. These comments
with amused and crazy in your vocabulary are not
well taken by me. Sorry, the message is more of
        blue collar type.

Calling people clowns today was not necessary either.

Its all unacceptable and was not a pleasant experience.

    From the Guardian (UK)
The president said on Thursday that the State Department had finished the review of Cuba’s status that he ordered in December when he announced moves to normalise diplomatic relations.

“That review has been completed,” Obama told reporters in Jamaica, where he is attending a meeting of Caribbean leaders. “I won’t make a formal announcement today about what those recommendations are until I have them.”

Obama hopes US-Cuba thaw paves way for diplomacy at Americas summit
    Read more
US officials have hinted that a breakthrough may be possible at the Summit of the Americas in Panama. If Cuba is removed from the list, it would ease the government’s ability to operate in Washington, where the Cuban “Interest Section” is currently blocked from having a bank account. The symbolic importance would be even greater.

Obama was due to arrive in Panama on Thursday evening for a summit on Friday that will be his first appearance with Cuban president Raúl Castro since the two leaders announced their deal. As their historic meeting approached, White House officials said John Kerry, the US secretary of state, held discussions with his Cuban counterpart, Bruno Rodriguez, behind closed doors at a Panama City hotel on Thursday in the highest-level meeting between the two sides since the earliest days of the Cuban revolution more than half a century ago.

Economic sanctions may be lifted. There are potential mining opportunities in Cuba.
Do you think Hispaniola is the only Caribbean island with metal mining?
    Cuba is totally unexploited.

    There’s an interesting article at
    Ellenbrown.com
    Web of Debt
About we are ruled by an oligarchy.
I actually think we live in a cleptocracy; where the oligarchs and Government in general just steal from the people.

Jerry, I will bet you never checked out patient home monitoring, like I mentioned more than a week ago, that is the future. DT

      Apr 10, 2015 10:34 PM

DT…..thanks for reminding me…….you are correct I did not check it out, but, I think you have a great thought. With Obama care, I think a lot of things are in the air. Healthcare is going to be the next thing to be brought under control and more highly regulated. Staying at home as a patient and being monitored, seems like a good idea, for cost reduction . ……..thanks…………………j
