I was looking at the 2011 census.
For Greater London, over 20% have a language other than English as their primary language!
Scotland and Wales clearly will vote remain, because they receive money from the EU….they think.
Of course, the money is taken first from the UK, part wasted and then handed out.
It is quite possible that large numbers of people who have only been given UK citizenship since round about 911 may have swung the vote.
You might be surprised by Wales.

Gold and silver are cheap, plain and simple. Lots of fund managers will buy em as a value play. Stocks are at historic highs while earnings are moving lower. Dow near all time highs is not a time to purchase.
We are close to the bottom imo. Looking to load up after a couple of days, once the weak hands move out.
Silver has made a gigantic double top spanning May and June that will play itself out during the last week of this month but watch out come the early trading days in July because a steep fall is coming.
imo, silver is on its way to 20+ It has a lot of room to move to the upside.

Anyway, gold is following the Yen down and is not correlating to the dollar or euro right now. That should be telling you to put your nickels on US equities and crude oil while going short metals, miners and the Canadian dollar. WTI made a beautiful perfect bounce off the support channel back mid month. That was one of your signs something was up.
People like companies must make a profit to live everything goes up and the squeeze is always there. If interest rates keep punishing the saver think about the companies that must operate in this environment. If they can’t produce a profit the successful ones won’t be able to pay a dividend and then their securities will become suspect. As long as prices rise in the stock market companies will muddle through but if they don’t This Big Bull Market won’t cover a multitude of sins. DT

So far the market spikes are all coming back down to earth reversing themselves and what looks like a great initial success for gold may still end up creating the biggest reversal candle since 2013. I closed out my position in (SVXY) shorting volatility last night in after-hours trading figuring the stay vote had won and I’d capitalized on Wed & Thursday from the drop in volatility. I decided to put on a position in (UVXY) last night, figuring regardless of the “stay” vote that we still may have a turbulent Friday as traders unloaded options positions. I had not idea the Brexit vote would win at that time, but just thought I’d put a little insurance in place. That ended up working out….

Well now it all makes sense why Bank of America clients have spent the last 16 weeks selling off positions and lightening up on stocks. I guess they did have insight that were not available to the rest of us.
I am getting kind of a chuckle out of Gary Savage’s recent threads. “Everything is going up together!” he insisted and the twits who say otherwise don’t know technical analysis from the back of their hands (paraphrasing of course but his certainty sure rings hollow today because it was the twits who were correct that markets would fall).
Yesterday he declared a new bear market in the dollar had begun. Whatever he is smoking I don’t want any of it. Anyway…..he was right that gold would break through the 200 day so its not all wrong.
It sure looks like a victory for the gold bugs. If those guys start being right then the world is in for a lot of hurt. Too bad for all of us.

Well I was wrong on that one and am eating crow for my breakfast.
I wouldn’t want to be on the “re-negotiation team” for the U.K when 49% of my population isn’t behind me and the folks on the continent are not in a negotiating mood. This will take years and billions of Pounds to repair. Not sure I would buy the FTSE quite yet.
Don’t worry about it. I was wrong too. It happens to all of us. I actually didn’t buy anything in advance of the vote so no damage. But no gains either. I hate these dramas because you really never know what the hell might happen but today I am just glad I am not part of the carnage.

Looks like we got a taste of the new reality. Its Gold, Treasuries, US Dollars, Silver and Japanese Yen that were the big winners. Everything else got slammed in the stomach.
We can keep that in mind since its probably a precursor to what will unfold this coming year if the market decides to take a real bath. I am most curious to see the closing numbers for June though so its still too early to draw any final conclusions.

That’s precisely why God doesn’t do it. When destruction
does come though, it will be the last thing on peoples minds.

like and anything else that they love to do that God mostly

NATO/US are all over Russian borders with nuclear armed
offensive weapons now. All new developments yet Americans
and The Western citizens are not even phased by it.
