You are lucky in the US, I guess. In Canada food prices are NOT going down. I am not aware of anything that has gone down, that I need to live.

Give it 12mths and a bunch of food prices are likely to go up.
Check Alan Boyce, latest RealvisionTV interview for views on the matter. It’s all there, esp. what he has to say on Corn.

For more info watch Christine Lagarde and Trudeau speach in Ottawa a couple of weeks ago. This is all you need to know what is coming down the pipe to a demo-crazy near you.

    Gents,

If one discusses inflation and money quantity without discussing the velocity of money…. errr…. one is missing 1/2 of the picture.

As an aside, I belive I sent you over the summer some very interesting work from Prerequesite Capital on Gold/USD using quantity of money and velocity…Suggest you revisit some of the charts.

John: 2 for 1 sales….get real. Albertson’s continually uses that ploy. They price their sirloin at $7.95 and give you two packs for one. Whopee! Fred’s sells family packs of sirloin for $2.99. I’ve always thought that Albertson’s was betting on the math IQ of most shoppers, which is somewhat LOW. You don’t fit that category so check it out; then buy.

When Americans and the world lose confidence in the dollar….inflation will kill us.
