I suspect short-term Hillary would be better, but longer term Trump would be better.
But neither will be good for the economy. Neither is against over-spending by the Government or for a balanced budget. Neither has conservative principles.
Hillary would be more inclined to take the US to war deliberately, Trump might take the US to war by mistake.
Clinton is probably more intelligent than Trump, but what good is intelligent if you are without principles?
Both are egocentric and disgust me, but I think Trump would be less divisive, less destructive to the USA.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has canceled a planned visit to France after Paris shortened the program for the trip.

There is a rumor that Russia has suggested that all Russian students studying abroad should make plans for returning to Russia.

China successfully carried out a flight test of its state-of-the-art high-speed maneuvering warhead last week, sources in the Pentagon said. The trial took place just days after a hypersonic glider was reportedly tested by Russia.
The DF-ZF hypersonic glide vehicle was launch on Friday by a ballistic missile fired from the Wuzhai site in central China, unnamed US military officials told the Washington Free Beacon website.
There is some evidence that China and Russia are cooperating on military technology.

With the Russia/China alliance appearing to be upgrading or preparing for war.
According to the Washington Free Beacon, US intelligence fears that Beijing may use DF-ZF (formerly codenamed WU-14 by the Pentagon), capable of reaching speeds of over 11,000 kilometers per hour, to deliver nuclear weapons bypassing even the most complex of missile defense systems.

The glider could also become a part of a conventional strategic strike weapon that would enable China to hit targets anywhere in the world within just an hour.

The US has no known defense capability against these hypersonic weapons.
As I understand the physics this would require high energy pulsed laser satellite defenses, which were abandoned along with the star wars program.

The US Missile Defense Agency has not funded any direct programs to counter hypersonic arms in its 2017 fiscal budget of $7.5 billion.
This year, it asked for funds to work on a laser system to target hypersonic missiles, but its tests will only start in 2021 when China’s hypersonic DF-ZF will likely already be in service.

Folks might want to remember these facts, when either of the presidential candidates claim the US military is the best in the world.
The other scary claims reported last year:
    1. When a Russian plane flew over a US ship in the Black Sea, it was reported all computer-controlled firing systems on the ship ceased working.
    2. The Russians tested successfully a cruise missile that wave hops below radar detection and then jumps up when in proximity to its target and then drops down to hit the target almost vertically. Such missiles are aircraft carrier attackers.
    3. There is an unsubstantiated rumor that Russia has very high speed torpedoes.

I listen to all, but believe until verified.
I know I’m getting old and don’t always remember everything, but I continuously cross-check and examine almost everything I read and hear against what I think I know.
Sometimes lies are obvious; like the majority of anything a politician says. Sometimes “facts” are just stored in memory for later comparisons.
Quite often I’ll wake up at 5 or 6 in the morning and some contradiction or conflict of beliefs will have me thinking. I do not like where the world appears to be heading right now. I remember the Cuban missile crisis very clearly and feel we have never been closer to potential annihilation of millions of human beings in the last 50 years. All three major players in this game have very significant egos, Putin, HRC and Trump, which may not allow them to step back from a brink.
Even more worrying is the potential for a Russia-China alliance to destroy the economy of the US, without a shot being fired. If pushed to far, that might appear to them to be a very viable option.

cfs, this has all been out for months.

High level military people(generals etc) have said they have no way to stop the Russians.

PCR mentions the insanity of the neocons, the Russians can hit all 3 power grids in the US and estimates are 98% of the N American population is gone within a year.

They have subs NATO calls “black holes” because they cant be spotted, nuclear armed subs.
They travel up and down coasts at will.
      10 mins to targets?

Thing is, nobody cares, except for PCR and his subscribers.

      Pressing the Russians/Chinese, absolute insanity.

It is such obvious insanity (to anyone that looks) that the argument the neocons intentionally intend to reduce the population seems plausible.

        Oct 11, 2016 11:45 PM

        b,

I cannot believe that we would ever do anything as asinine as that. I simply makes absolutely no sense at all. If you look back at the first and second world wars, one could rationalize. I common, the situation with the Jews in Germany we simply had to finally get involved. The Japanese? That is easy they did attack us first.

          Oct 11, 2016 11:04 PM

          Al, no offence.

James Perloff, John Perkins or if you have some extra hours “The Greatest Story Never Told”.

You had to get involved because of the Jews? Thats kinda like saying the war between the states was about freeing black people.

The transfer agreement began in 1933, went on until Japan attacked Hawii.

The Japanese code was broken by Herbert o Yardly in the early 1930s, the Dutch ambassador waved the Japanese fleet goodbye, the only people that the attack surprised was the American public, but as we know, they havnt a clue about anything.
          So not so surprising.

          The winners write the history.

If they are not insane Al, why have they put nukes in Poland on the Russian boarders?
          Among other things.

Did you know that Nagasaki had the Japanese Christian community?
The claim was to bomb the port, how come they flew right past it to hit their target?
things that make ya go hmmmm

Its kinda funny, Jews, Moslems etc served in the Waffen SS.
There were many German Jew officers, generals even, a Jew was a personal driver to Hitler.
Germany worked to ally themselves with Turks and were allied to Japan.

But people believe the Germans were racist.

They were Christian, but racist doesnt really add up.

Ever wonder how they turned around that decimated economy so fast?
Our austrian econimists tell people how its done all the time, so does Ron Paul, its no secret and it wasnt a secret in the 1930s either.

But people still think it was due to stealing artwork, which didnt happen until long after the economy was humming.
            But they believe it.

The Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor, because the US cut off their oil supply and they wanted to “save face” and made the mistake of thinking they could beat the US with Germany and Italy as allies.
They cam e darn close; with Adolf’s ego possibly being the primary reason the Anglo-American alliance won.
The attack on Russia, with Hitler considering himself smarter than Napoleon, was just stupid.
What would have happened if the Japanese had better intelligence and not surrendered after Nagasaki? The US essentially out nuclear bomb material for a while at that point.
And thinking of Nagaski. Why was that city, the location of the Largest Christian church in Asia and the very center of Christianity in Japan, chosen. I have never understood that.
Just another “fact” filed in my memory banks, awaiting cross- examination.

            Oct 12, 2016 12:38 AM

Germany could’ve defeated Russia in WWII if Hitler had not made his generals divide the invading force into 3 to attack Leningrad, Moscow, and Stalingrad. If they had stayed together they would’ve easily taken Moscow before winter and cut off the head of the Bolshevik snake.

          Oct 12, 2016 12:32 AM

we did not get involved in Europe until Germany declared war on us 4 days after Pearl Harbor.

Rodney Lamond, President and CEO of Jaguar Mining commented, “To date, our operations have performed extremely well, with our improvement initiatives delivering increased production, average grade, and recoveries that are meeting or exceeding our targets. Q3 2016 marked the third consecutive quarter of increased quarter-over-quarter production led by the Turmalina mine, which, despite challenging ground conditions during the quarter, achieved its highest level of production since Q3 2013. This strong operational performance has now positioned us to meet or exceed the top end of our 2016 gold production guidance of 90,000 to 95,000 ounces. I am also very pleased with the continued progress being made at the Pilar mine, where our operations team has refocused their efforts on programs that will drive increased sustainable production and cash flow growth over the coming quarters.”

The Labor Department says job openings dropped nearly 7 percent to 5.4 million, down from 5.8 million in July. That month’s total had been a record, but was revised lower.
