We also focus on the trend that developed in 2016 that was a general move from people around the world away from establishment politics. If this moves continues we could see a very different world next year moving forward.
We hope everyone has a safe a very happy New Year!

Re: Segment 8:
The Islamic treacherous leader of the US totally undercut the bargaining position of Israel.
Does it really help to place the Wailing Wall in “occupied Palestinian Territory”?
Does anyone really think Israel will ever give that up?
Israel’s negotiation position had always been to give back land in exchange for peace.
Israel’s adversaries have recently not wanted peace, so little progress has been made.
But to take away Israel’s ability to negotiate solves nothing.
Does anyone still believe Obama is not Islamic-leaning?
He is giving Iran nuclear capability.
He has created the potential for a caliphate throughout the Middle East and North Africa.
Do you really think think that was by mistake and not intentional?
CFS:
You have blinders on. Israel has 99% of the power in Palestine and the Arabs have 1%. Peace has always been stopped in its tracks by the actions of Israel not Palestine. Israel has killed the two state plan that has existed since 1948 by illegal actions and that leaves a one state solution. Kerry has it exactly right. It’s either a Jewish state or a Democratic state but it cannot be both.
So Israel will try to kill them all.
+1 The situation reminds me of our government’s handling of it’s promises to the Lakota Indians. The great reservation once was everything west of the Missouri in SD. Over time it was annexed, stolen, shrunken and broken into pieces until the remnants were only that which was basically worthless in natural resources and unwanted by the white’s. The West Bank is headed in the same direction! There will never be a two-state solution and the Palestinians will be a 2nd class with few rights! Peace will never arrive.
Thats how it done silverdollar.
There will be peace in Palistine, as soon as enough Palistinians have been killed off.
The “Lakota” method, proven to work.
Shouldnt be neglecting all the other peoples I guess.
Last I heard Israel had more nukes than France and UK combined, and you, Mr Moriarty, seem to think it is a good idea to back Israel into a corner.
(And you think I have blinders on?)
CFS:
And by insisting that Israel not steal land from those who own it and telling them that they have to live by the same laws as everyone else is somehow backing them into a corner.
Sorry I was wrong about the blinders. You are totally blind. There are three choices, either a two state solution which is what the UN came up with 68 years ago, a one state solution where Israel simply steals all the land and everyone is equal or Israel turns into an apartheid country where some residents vote and have rights and others do not.
The nut cases running Israel for the last 10 years have killed the two state solution, you aren’t going to get 500,000 illegal residents to move back to the 1967 borders, the one state solution is out because it can’t be both Jewish and democratic so you turn the country into something far worse that South Africa ever was and the middle East continues to fester.
Those who support the current government of Israel and the nut jobs running the place hate Israel and are doing their very best to get Israel to commit suicide.
International law(s): what a joke. Who makes those laws? Who enforces them? How do those who are accused of breaking those laws get a fair trial? We need to get back to constitutional principles, not talk endlessly about politics, especially global politics. If we would fix the problems at home, here in the U.S., maybe the Middle East wouldn’t be such a tangled mess.
Wayne:
We are the tangled mess in the Middle East. If the United States wasn’t totally controlled by AIPAC and didn’t provide billions a year to the monsters running Israel there wouldn’t be problems in the Middle East. The Israel and their client state, the US are the source of 100% of the problems in the Middle East. When we stop feeding them cash, perhaps we could fix our internal problems.
I find it interesting that some intelligent adults don’t realize the futility of this discussion.
Now, that is one thing that we can all agree on!
Al:
Why are you telling me this? Why didn’t you tell CFS? I never start any discussion about Israel with anyone but I will respond.
Edmund Burke said it best “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men should do nothing.”
Even you are suggesting that it is best not spoken about.
The wars that the US has fought on behalf of Israel have bankrupted the US and Israel is on a road to self-destruction. If someone answers the constant flow of disinformation they are either called names or told it’s a futile discussion.
+1 Robert!
This situation has turned in a discussion in which no person will ever agree on. You have a point; our mutual friend Rick Ackerman has a point; and, I have a point.
The only decision that I have not reached quite yet is the question of atomic power to Iran.
Based on the Iranian folks who I know I would have to say that Iran really should be treated in the same way as Israel.
I know how strongly you feel, Bob, and any sane person after looking at that facts would be foolish to disagree with you.
The question here is really because of the nature of this emotionally charged situation wouldn’t a bit of compromise made a lot of sense?
Israel was “given” the land by a group of people who made a very big mistake, The complicating factor is that in the past it was also their land. Now, when they came back that, obviously, pissed off the Palestinians and the Jews (perhaps more accurate to all them Zionists because of their secular nature.) retaliated.
Robert, after reading much of the Old Testament, I am simply throwing my hands in the air and judging each situation on its own merits.
Sorry the word is “call” and not “all”
The US provides 22% of the operating budget of the UN.
The UN has long been riddled with Marxist anti-American states.
It is time that the US stopped providing a forum for its enemies.
The UN building could be developed into nice condominiums…..something about which Trump actually understands.
CFS:
When the US has started 82% of all the wars since 1945 has it not occurred to you that the US thinks everyone is the enemy. Talk, Talk is better than War, War.
Only a fool would disagree to Talk is better than War.
(unless you have not heard of Neville Chamberlain!)
It is necessary to be strong, while not being tempted to abuse the strength.
CFS:
If a country has started 82% of the wars in 70 years, wouldn’t that indicate defector proof that they are being abusive?
Or, like in Korea/Vietnam/other wars, our politicians can talk while we have “unofficial” wars, where only the President and the Joint Chiefs of Staff control the military, instead of Congress, and therefore it is not “war”.
Marine Major General Smedley D. Butler (July 30, 1881 – June 21, 1940) had it right when he wrote “War Is a Racket” (1935). Our politicians do the bidding of corporate interests, not the people.
Jhpace1:
You have it mostly right. Out politicians do the bidding of the Zionists first and foremost. This last fiasco with Nuttinyahoo proves it. All of his actions suggest that the US is his bitch. Fourteen countries voted, the US abstained. France, New Zealand, China, the UK all voted in favor of the resolution and who was singled out for the most criticism? I used quotes from Smedley Butler in my book. Indeed war is a racket and bombing people should be the last solution and instead, we use it as the first solution. I point out in my book that if you do that eventually you either bankrupt yourself or are defeated. We probably will do both.
This american worship of Israel comes from religion.
Changing this worship might require changing the religion.
you can forget about changing the religion…..not going to happen
one quick reference Gen 17:20
and Gen 17:19
Gen……is Genesis
That was actually my point Jerry, its not gonna change.
I just listened to an RT interview, seems Mr Bob isnt the only person that feels the way to end the terrorist BS is just to stop funding them.
Guess guys like Ron Paul have been saying that for years.
That might have the same chance as changing the religion.
Maybe Mr Trump can make it happen?
until the majority of citizens understand…..that the govt is the problem, things are not going to change.
The U.S. truly has been a bit aggressive since the second world war!
As long as the rules keep changing we will never be bankrupt.
I would like to see you write a book defining the absurdity of our present society.
We need to get out of the UN and the UN out of the US.
ditto
Wayne, I don’t think that this will happen during a Trump administration.
We did have a businessman in office, Chris. George W. Bush graduated from Harvard business school. He modeled his cabinet meetings after business meetings. He was a business man before becoming Texas’ governor and POTUS. And when 9/11 hit, he let his cabinet start an ill-conceived war with Iraq. Then democratic nation building in Afghanistan that history told him was never going to work.
Thanks for the all the shows this year al and Cory!
Wishing you guys and your families a prosperous 2017 and good health.
To the guys in here like matt, Robert, shad, Tracy, and the whole gang best of wishes to you and your families and many thanks for your dedication to the ker everyday.
I believe the cycles/charts and most importantly matt and Roberts favourite sentiment are hugely in favour of a rally and progressive movement to higher price gold. Somewhere around now or as of beginning of this week when gold turned up and into early January we will begin to go north on price. I believe we rally up and sideways up and sideways I to may/June 5-6 months. If you want to be conservative 4 mi the April/may. I agree with matt that miners will outperform metal. I don’t expect gold to break through the 1330/1360 region until second half or later half of 2017. I believe we still have 2-5 years before gold meets its potential and also believe property or realstate in toronto/Ontario will keep trending higher for at least 2 more years if not more. I believe if and when that correction or the “big” 40/50% correction in Dow comes, it will take realstate property in Canada down with it and gold will have its day.
US dollar should head lower very very soon and Cad higher/ euro higher not lower for now.
Cheers guys and best of luck! I will try and enjoy my time off with family as a welcomed gift to the caymans!
Happy new year soon to be.
Enjoy you time off with your family Glenfidish. Nothing like a bit of sun to warm the soul.
P.s i will read Roberts book while getting my vitamin d. I welcome a link so I can access it. I believe matt mentioned it the other day.
Thanks
Trump is turning out to be just another lying politicians and some of you are going to find that out the hard way.
Here’s an example:
At one time Trump was proposing the “1-5-10-15” income tax proposals consisting of the following:
* Those making up to $30,000 will pay 1 percent.
* Income from $30,000 to $100,000 results in a flat 5 percent.
* $100,000 to $1 million income will be taxed at 10 percent.
* On $1 million or above will be taxed 15 percent.
But all that is out the window. Now many will get a tax increase. For instance, if you’re a single tax filer making between between $112,500 and $190,150, or a joint filer earning between $225,000 and $231,450.
If the above applies to you, you’re going to be kicked into a 5% higher tax bracket. You will also being paying more on capital gains.
You could be paying thousands of dollars a year more than when the DEMOCRATS controlled the House, the Senate and the White House. Yes, more than you did under Obama!
How’s that for draining the swamp???
This is an outrage especially when you consider all that Trump has said and that he is supposed to be the head of a party that represents smaller government and lower taxes.
Eddie,
What the hell did you expect?
My God man, don’t be so naive.
Trump is a politician.
Politicians are out to screw people like you.
That’s the whole point of government.
You are nothing more than a tax serf.
And don’t you ever forget it.
Capiche?
exactly…….JH
no disrespect intended……..
I hope Eddie doesn’t take it personally.
After all, it’s the job of politicians to f over people like Eddie.
Now, if Eddie was a crony capitalist/rent seeker, a member of the deep state, MIC, etc., a welfare queen or an illegal alien/immigrant then he’d have reason to be angry.
But being a mere tax surf, he’s not entitled. 🙂
Oh, forgot foreign politicians/governments. They feed off the teat of Uncle Sugar, too.
Draining the swamp and putting up a five star hotel!
I don’t disagree Mr. Pace. But in our environment a person can escape from serfdom.
EB, Trump hasn’t even assumed office and you are ranting on like a fear monger. Do you have a subscription to The Washington Post, they would agree with your tactics and your message. DT
I am “…ranting on like a fear monger?”
Really?
Have you even bothered to look into this?
Do you have anything to prove what I stated is not true?
Go to Trump’s Web site and it states that the 33% bracket starts at the income levels I cite.
Obviously, you have know idea what you are talking about.
EB, what you are getting excited about is irrelevant, you must be in the higher bracket because if you weren’t you would clearly not care, many low income earners will be paying very little tax, and most no tax, the problem is with your approach, you take one item and blow it all out of proportion. Let the man govern and when he is in office we will get the truth but until then all this excitement is meaningless because the legislation he will produce must go into law. Changes are inevitable, I’m sure you have lived long enough to understand that nothing is written in stone. DT
So a politician lying, a politician raising people’s taxes when he said he would do the opposite is irrelevant?
EB, when he was running he made a proposal that is all a politician can do, I’m sure that is what he wanted but unless you live in a dictatorship you can’t just have everything your own way. This proposal that you refer to was a set of conditions on tax law that he wanted to Implement but their are other people at other levels of government that are involved in tax law and tax changes and they govern according to those rules. Politicians must compromise all the time or nothing would happen. Surely you wouldn’t want a dictatorship, he didn’t lie he made a proposal to the electorate that he had to change because his word isn’t LAW. Surely you understand that, knowing Trump who wrote “The Art Of The Deal’, he will have to give some things up in order to get other items like trade issues or border security that are also part of his agenda, again he must make compromises because that is how the system works and that is how it should work. I know you understand what I am telling you but you are being unreasonable to expect him to be able to govern without the consent of Congress and The House Of Representatives. DT
So a portion of the working stiffs must be pillaged even more for the “public good?”
You can sugar coat that anyway you want but it’s collectivism, and I bet the vast majority of Republicans agree with it or don’t care.
Truly despicable.
EB, you are letting emotions rule your mind instead of applying reason, that will only serve your needs but not others.
Eddie,
You’re spot on. The indoctrination runs deep and wide and its beyond laughable.
Donald Trump although a better option than that demon Hillary, hes going to get into office and do exactly what he is told to do and when to do it………….period! He’ll be just another goofball that will back track on at least 90% of the BS he promised.
The amount of people that still follow and worship these shallow, empty, phony, gutless corrupt people that true out to be politicians is beyond words.
Do you actually know what the current tax rates are, Ebolan?
Of course I do.
The filers in the brackets I sited are currently in the 28% bracket.
Under Trump they will be in the 33% bracket.
Re: Segment 6:
I don’t know Jeff Deist’s educational background. He is clearly well-read and well-spoken, but perhaps, despite his relationship with Ron Paul has a tendency to be too politically correct.
He stated that increased taxation to be politically unpopular; but does he realize that the Laffer curve actually implies that there is a MAXIMUM in taxing ability?
i.e. increasing the tax rate does NOT inevitably mean increasing tax revenue overall.
Yes, increasing the tax rates increases tax collection immediately, but also slows the economy over time, so that tax revenue drops in later years.
It is the fact that politicians treat the economy as a quasi-static mathematic model that has wrecked modern economies. History has repeatedly shown that excess taxation reduces growth. The Western world has for decades been taxing above the level for best growth.
It is pretty obvious that maximum economic growth should occur at zero taxation, and that maximum taxation occurs at 100% in the static model. However, over extended periods of time, a maximization of taxation occurs somewhere in the 15-20% range, depending on how the taxation is spent by the government. Too much taxation and growth is strangled; too little taxation and the government cannot provide the infrastructure needed for society.
We have been operating for decades above optimum taxation levels, while maintaining growth throw increasing debt. This however has the problem of bringing forward spending into the present at the expense of future spending and this CANNOT CONTINUE indefinitely.

I am hoping that America next year will be America convalescent. I am tired of all the scandals and The Clinton years. I want to see an end to The Big Red scare and a normalization of diplomatic ties with Russia. I am hoping for a renewal of prosperity and maybe America can get back to the Ballyhoo years where trivia was fun and normalcy reigned. DT

RM,
It was only a matter of time and I was waiting for it when you got back to your real MO,
hating Israel and blaming America first.
You are despicable.
JTL -You’ve got serious problems. To repeat for the thousandth time Bob M is neither anti-Semitic nor anti-Israel. One can speak about hating what Israel has become without hating the land itself. Not a few Israeli Jews would echo similar sentiments. But nor do I speak for Obama’s despicable eleventh hour collusion over the UN vote. Like it or loathe it, the fact remains that Israel is still our only western ally in the Middle East.
JTL:
So Israel should get an entirely different set of international laws than the rest of the world?
Stop whining and playing victim. Everyone including you knows who the criminals are in the middle east.
And Israel is for certain not our ally in the Middle East. Nuttinyahoo has made it clear that once he has finished with the US we can blow away.
Nuttingyahoo will have to shape up or ship out…

Robert, most people have no use for facts that don’t suit them and their ability to ignore them will never change.
Bob, keep smacking down that little fly troll. People try to act like they want the truth…….well its all BS. Most are not remotely interested in the truth.
“Peace has always been stopped in its tracks by the actions of Israel not Palestine.”
That is the filthiest lie I ever heard come out of anyone’s mouth on this site and it figures it would be you.
Here’s some interesting history. Enlighten yourself: http://www.counterpunch.org/2016/12/09/the-forgotten-sneak-attack/
Did not Israel give back the Sinai Peninsula to Egypt in exchange for peace?
CFS:
Yes they did and in that case they were obeying international law not doing some kindness out of the goodness of their hearts. It is illegal to wage a war of aggression as the 1967 war was and to keep the land you conquer as a result of that war. That’s what the Nuremberg trials were all about. Wars of aggression were the supreme crime.
John Kerry will go down as the biggest failure and most completely wrong sos of all time.

I always enjoy listening to Grant Williams and have really wanted to subscribe to Real Vision TV … maybe I’ll check with the “minister of finance” to see if she has any leeway in the budget for the new year, since the episodes that I’ve seen with the trial subscription, along with the audios of episodes that have been rebroadcast on macrovoices.com have been truly excellent.
Another excellent article from Grant, if you haven’t already seen it, is an excerpt from his latest newsletter (which is also included within the article) that can be found in the following link on Zero Hedge which provides some great thoughts about the dollar and gold, baby boomers and debt levels, etc.:

Trump’s team draws target on federal regulations
President-elect Donald Trump is stocking his administration with businessmen and regulatory reformers who are intent on cutting through what they see as red tape from Washington.

Although Trump’s election was absolutely essential given the alternative, he’s still been described as a quarter back with Tourette’s syndrome which leaves us all holding our breath.

Good and correct comments made by Chris on Nato/Russia/area history. One other thing worth mentioning was the agreement we made with Russia in order to get rid of many of the nuclear weapons/stockpiles of the old USSR was that we would not try to encircle Russia. We reneged on that and went so far as to add every country we could up to their borders, including Ukraine. Hell, if Russia hadn’t annexed Crimea (which was part of Russia for about 300 years) we would have supported a new country there in order to enlarge Nato. The Neo-cons were installing missles in Poland and elsewhere under Bush lite. True, we’ve pushed until there isn’t any place for them to go but outward!

Washington Post Caught Spreading More Fake News About “Russian Hackers”
Readers of the Washington Post received some alarming news yesterday when the paper published a story alleging that those pesky “Russian hackers” were up to their no good tricks again and had managed to “penetrate the U.S. electricity grid through a utility in Vermont.”
Of course, it didn’t take long for the New York Times and ABC to latch on to the story since it fits their “2016 election hacking” narrative so perfectly.
and supplement their original article with the following “Editor’s Note” admitting the entire premise of their original story was nothing more than “fake news.”
Sweden’s Infamous “Bikini Cop” Quits Amid Growing Police Crisis
Though Kellner didn’t mention it, Sweden’s police force has recently been plagued by understaffing and a rapid rise in violent crime that seemingly corresponded with the arrival of thousands of migrants from the Middle East and Northern Africa. The level of violence within certain areas rose to such a level that police abandoned efforts to control the streets, leading to the establishment of 55 “no-go zones” (something we discussed in further detail here: “Sweden Creates 55 “No-Go Zones” As It Loses Control Of Refugee Crisis”).

No. We are not supposed to hate anyone.

Some of Trump’s appointments of GS people are very astute, IMHO.
