Rick is looking for a Dow a bit above 21,000 yet is concerned about a bit of a correction. We also discuss gold and silver.

Rick feels that Big Al’s enthusiasm concerning U.S. equities expressed yesterday during our Market Close has yet to be proven.
Well, he did warn us that it’s windy in Colorado today.
Hope that it does not get to both of you!

Leonard Rossiter and John Barron. Wonderful, IMHO.
Slv is on fire. Gold is finishing up the correction and headed up. Bought more GDX today at 24.74 in the premarket.
I had a 1225 bottom target but it came a bit lower than that. We could head to the 1275 area next if it can clear 1250.
i bought GDX at the close yesterday @ $24.91. Nice job on getting in @ $24.74. It’s performing nicely this morning. See how it does towards the close later.
IPT is telling us the move in silver is for real:
http://stockcharts.com/h-sc/ui?s=IPT.V&p=D&yr=0&mn=9&dy=13&id=p16689870849
Thanks for the chart……….I take it you’re still a fan of Impact.
Yes, it remains one of my favorites and is currently one of my largest positions.
It is up 50% in 6 weeks and is just getting started…
http://stockcharts.com/h-sc/ui?s=IPT.V&p=W&yr=6&mn=9&dy=0&id=p90936177120&a=454677845
Like silver (and gold), IPT had a right-translated intermediate term cycle last year. I expect the same this year but they will most likely be even more right-translated.

Matthew, Doc, Rick, et al, Is it time to buy CDE after it’s collapse yesterday? It got down to 9.20 today but is back up to 9.65 I am tempted to buy as I don’t own it.
I’m not interested in it but if silver holds up, it might have bottomed already. It fell right to a fork support and briefly went through it the next day. You could use that support line as a mental sell-stop. Just sell on a single daily close below it (not advice, just an honest opinion):
http://stockcharts.com/h-sc/ui?s=CDE&p=D&yr=0&mn=9&dy=13&id=p73763357285&a=505652961
Thanks, Matthew. I bought some CDE@9.53 today. (See what I said in Doc’s section today).
I have not placed a sell stop yet, but thanks much for the idea.
The greatness of the last 6 weeks is a little less stealthy now…

Matthew – You just posted so many great charts, that when a buddy of mine was commenting on the strength of (IPT) today, I shared them with him in the IPT room and Silver room. Just wanted you to know your hard work is appreciated by many.
I gave all the credit to you of course 😉
They just seemed helpful to all Silver investors. Here’s the link to the Impact Silver room:
Excelsior,absolutely agree re: Matthew
Matthews “hard work is appreciated by many.”
BTW,thanks for your posts from CEO.CA,now i´m worried about Selling my SBB 🙂
And thanks for the Wellgreen post, speaking of weak, what do you think about Anfield Gold(not much news lately)
(both sitting on support ?
Thanks Pete.
Yes, I had made a few good trades in Sabina, but had completely sold out of it. However, I bought back in yesterday, after that ceo panel, just in case the permit news breaks in the next few months, and if they do get that permit to go ahead with the mine, then they’ll be prime takeover candidates.
Yes, with Wellgreen, I feel like there is a perception problem with their deposit, because most geos that discuss it are biased with how the project was drilled and understood in the past as only a base metals project. They have not kept up with the new drilling, resource interpretations, or the PGM/Precious metals components of the property that are worth substantially more now than a few decades ago. Also, I believe things will change with Diane Garrett at the helm. She is a bulldog and makes things happen, and was responsible for the Romarco sale to OceanaGold last year. Wellgreen has been weak to asleep, but as the PGM prices continue to play catch up to Gold, along with the Nickel issues in the Philippine mine closures, then they should have a double whammy in catalysts. Having the Copper never hurts either 😉
As for Anfield Gold, I don’t really follow it so can’t be of any help there. Recently I have been nibbling at Anfield Resources (the Uranium Developer), but those are apples an oranges. (ha!).
Thanks,Excelsior,(i meant worried about that i sold my SBB),i will buy some just in case they get the permits, and i like the deposit,
I hold some ARY 🙂
+1 – Been enjoying this move in Impact Silver and the vast majority of the Silver stocks lately.
Ex, why do you suppose TAHO HAS SO UNDERPERFORMED. I OWN IT SINCE $6.55 with a 3.88 yield
Correction: a 3.66% yield
It’s a behemoth of a company, and has under-performed most of the Silver stocks. This has been my point with positioning in the smaller producers, developers, and advanced explorers for more upside torque. Also, acquiring a Gold company honked off some of the investors that wanted Taho for the Silver exposure.
I have all the respect in the world for Tahoe Resources and they are one of the top 10 for a reason, but this doesn’t always equate to outperformance. It’s the same thing with Fresnillo or most of the other Majors in the Silver space (or the Major Gold miners for that matter). If the markets were rational then TAHO would be surging right now as their economics have greatly improved.
Here’s a really neat breakdown of the Top Silver producing countries, companies, and mines for all the “WingNuts” out there:

Ex:
I 2nd your comments above about Matthew’s chart postings. Each of you are very generous with your knowledge and time. Quite the teachers………and I mean that in the most positive sense. You two make this page worth opening on a daily basis………Best to both of you!
+1
Thanks and best of luck to all of you.
Much appreciated Silverdollar. Right back atcha man.
glad I rebought my final ITP position yesterday!!!
Silver stock CDE up nicely this morning Plus 2.26%.
Copper/Gold stock FCX up over 4% right now with a volume over 30 million shares traded. That’s a bunch.
(IB) (IAALF) IBC Advanced alloys is an interesting little #Copper #Beryllium #Aluminum #Nickel alloy’s processor and manufacturer servicing the defense (they make parts for the F-35) , aerospace, automotive, and electronics markets.
They have recently teamed up with Mark Smith’s company (NB) (NIOBF) NioCorp to work with them on #Scandium projects. For those that remember, Mark was the past CEO of Molycorp back in the day, and also heads up the #Vanadium company (LGO) (LGORF) Largo Resources.
They’ve sold off hard over the last few years, because they were incorrectly branded with Rare Earth companies just because they worked with Specialty Metals . I’ve been following them for a long time and they finally look ready for a re-rating, as they’ve switched around their management team, focus, customer base, and are primed to be cash flow positive in 2017.
IBC Advanced Alloys #CorporatePresentation :

Shad :
Good comments regarding IBC. I really thought scandium would take off,but it just hasn’t happened yet.
I been watching my favorite once bit, twice shy company,Golden Predator in zoom mode and I was trying to put together the area players. So far the only one I can come up with is ABN.V.
Do you have any maps or further info on the companies next to GPY?
Thanks JohnK. Is your Scandium exposure through (SCY) Scandium International (John Kaiser’s pick)? Do you follow (NB) NioCorp? What I like about the (IB) IBC Advanced alloys partnership, is that the issue in manufacturing has always been a consistent supply. NioCorp will supply the material, and IBC Advanced alloys are the masters as processing and making usable alloys for machine parts and manufacturing and they have a nice roster of downstream customers. Mark Smith is a curious guy (hated by some for what happened to Molycorp), but along with his interest in NioCorp, and now being on the board for IBC, he also has the Vanadium company Largo Resources. I wonder if the master plan is to consolidate all 3 into a premier Specialty Metals company?
As for Golden Predator land packages, it seems I saw maps recently but can’t remember where. Let me get out my deck of playing cards so I can keep track of all their Aces, Clubs, Diamonds, and Spades…..
This is the first map I pulled up at Golden Predator – Is there even anyone else around them? (lol).
http://goldenpredator.com/_resources/maps/3-aces/3-Aces-Central-Core-Area.jpg
This one is helpful as it shows where they are in the bottom right corner of the Yukon.
http://goldenpredator.com/_resources/maps/3-aces/3Aces_SoilGrid_20170113.pdf
I forgot about Brewery Creek (their 2nd deposit), by Dawson City. It is more likely to have the neighboring deposits, but I’ll stay focused on the 3 Aces.
http://goldenpredator.com/_resources/maps/3-aces/GPY_YukonRegional_BRC3ACES_v2_20170113.pdf
JohnK – Check out page 4 on this older presentation. Both of their deposits aren’t too terribly far from Alexco’s Keno Hill or the land the ATAC resources has in the Yukon but just on either side of that district. Also there are some geological trends that start in Alaska and continue down into the Yukon. I find it helpful to see the bigger picture sometimes.
http://goldenpredator.com/_resources/presentations/3Aces-PPT-march-2016.pdf
Here is a better map showing different deposits in the lower Yukon, and at this level, they really aren’t anywhere close to Keno Hill. My bad. Sometimes it also helps to zoom in….
Well, the Brewery Creek deposit by Dawson City is closer to Keno Hill, but 3 Aces doesn’t have a ton of neighbors from what I can gather. Sorry, I’m not much help today. 🙁
On that last map you can see the Justin (Sprogge) deposit right next to 3 Aces which is the Aben Resources property you already mentioned, but that looks like the only real neighbors.
Here is an article that popped up noting that for Aben it may be a NEW Gold District.

Early results at the Justin property in Yukon suggest a promising new gold system

Honestly that Brewery Creek deposit of theirs is in much more established mining country, but it looks like Aben and Golden Predator (who I started following when they were Northern Tiger) are blazing a new trail down there….
Shad :
I no longer have any shares. I use to follow Nio Corp.
I still like the scandium story.
This ones deserves another look.I like the trifecta.
Thanks JohnK. Yes, a trifecta is a good way of looking at these Mark Smith specialty metals plays.
Thanks for the heads up on that one, Excelsior. It’s certainly one to keep an eye on. Looks at or close to bottom.
Yep, it’s bottom dwelling, but they have a number of new alliances (like Lockheed Martin, ThyssenKrupp, Honeywell Electronics, and the European Space Agency), in addition to the new Scandium partnership with Mark Smith and NioCorp.
They are just flying way under the radar at present, but when investors wake up to all the things they are doing, that is going to change. I had orphaned money in it from years ago, and have been averaging down over the last few weeks, to prepare for a new chapter with (IB).
The rare earth sector here in N America is about to boom. We can’t afford to have China control the market of raw materials for our new technologies and defense assets. IB fits right into that wheelhouse.
Agreed. I’ve noticed some movement in some of the other rare earth companies lately like Arafura, Pele Mountain, Ucore Rare Metals, Greenland Minerals, and even good ole’ Lynas. There are other specialty metals like Scandium, Vanadium, Tungsten, Cobalt, Niobium, etc… that are attracting attention as well.
My favorite Specialty Metals play is still Alkane Resources, because they are funding the development of their Zirconium project with the money from their Producing Gold mine. I’m not aware of any other company that is funding the development of their niche mine, by using the power of producing gold. There are few other explorers with no focus at all that have proposed the idea, but they are the only company I know of that is executing the strategy.

Alkane Resources Limited is involved in mineral exploration and evaluation, development and extraction. It operates through two segments: gold operations and rare metals. Its Dubbo Zirconia Project is based on a resource of zirconium, hafnium, niobium, tantalum, yttrium and rare earth elements, located at Toongi, approximately 30 kilometers south of the regional center of Duddo.

Lets hope your right Chartster.
This has been a tough sector to hold. The stocks do nothing.
Smart money is accumulating,I have started tracking weekly volumes.
The pentagon realizes the precarious position the U S is in.
Any problems with China, this could be dynamite.
Al, is the response line compromised?
XOP just won’t fly with oil up so much. It is at 40.30 now. It was near the 43 area the last time oil was this high. It should head to the 41.50 to 42 area and correct a bit.
I see, it’s OK now
Matthew,
If you have the time,it would be great to get your technical opinion/analysis on Anfield Gold ANF.V
Thanks
Pete, it looks pretty good. If Monday looks like today, then I’d bet that it has bottomed. For now, it is the kind of chart that cause an aggressive contrarian speculator to start accumulating.
Thanks Matthew,nice fork
I´m trying to become “an aggressive contrarian speculator” 🙂

I like Wellgreen Platinum but I won’t touch until it starts to show a lot more volume, I am pretty much out of the small cap sector that Matthew is in tune with. I also don’t like diversification in stocks, because if you know what you are trading, it will hold you back. Stocks are for trading and are very predatory by nature. In fact the kinds of stocks I like these days are mid camp companies that trade on both the TSX and The NYSE. Primero will be a favorite of mine in the future as will NGD, both have the correct double listings and when they start to really move I will be there, but for now I am happy with NAK/NDM.
Dick, I’ve been accumulating PPP here (not investment advice) and watching for an entry point on NGD.
Thanks for the reply Doc, The US is going to explode the commodities markets under The Trump doctrine. DT
I dig the tiny caps. Here’s one that just had a 33% week:
http://stockcharts.com/h-sc/ui?s=TYP.V&p=W&yr=3&mn=0&dy=0&id=p40590736218
Despite the gain, it still trades at just .23x book. The market cap is now about $3.5M and there’s over $1M in the bank.
Hecla owns 8.7 million shares and Precious Capital AG owns 1.068 million.
*I own it.
Matthew, I was going to ask you about TYP three days ago, I must have ESP like my wife say’s. DT
Yes you must, we just posted at the same time. 😮

Last Saturday I said it might be a good time to start accumulating the players in the Urban Barry next to Osisko Mining.

NIce JohnK.
Where does everyone think gold and silver will be, come December 31st? Perhaps a ballpark figure, for the sake of the said question? My educated guess (as Im certainly no expert): gold between 1350 and 1400. Silver between 22 and 23
I can dig it.
