In 2015, Wall Street Bonuses, not regular compensation, bonuses, seven years after they were bailed out with the public purse, totaled $29.4 billion dollars. Total compensation paid to every single person in this country who makes minimum wage totaled $14 billion…

The era of neo-liberalism is over. The era of neo-nationalism has just begun.”

    Mark Blyth

The liberal establishment, in their zeal to excuse themselves and their failure to support the working class, is embracing a kind of McCarthyism with an ease that is almost astonishing in its hypocrisy. The partisanship on display at MSNBC is even more embarrassing as that on Fox News and that’s bad enough at times.

Trump was talking about the sale of Uranium One.

But I’ll try to look up the 20% number…..I doubt if it is true.

The great and real journalist/writer JON RAPPOPORT has written about Frank Giustra, the Clintons and the Uranium One deal. Unfortunately, most slumbering people lack the attention span, or even give a damn, to look into this. Long live President Trump. I am a Canadian, but I would take a bullet for that man.

Gold is set for third weekly gain, even with recent dollar strength. The trend is your friend.

The Twenty percent number is mentioned in the New York Times article and that is probably Trump’s source.
(I cannot verify that 20% number)

HRC benefited from donations from parties associated with the deal, from memory, to the tune of $13.8 million by my reckoning, although various numbers from $15 million to $20 million may be found in newspapers, reports.
Numbers cannot be obtained from Clinton Foundation reports because those records are atrocious/non-existent. Using donation statements from donors is made difficult because of variation in numbers reported. What is clear is that 8-figure $ numbers were washed thru the “tax-free” foundation; completely illegally.
How it was possible for the IRS not to investigate this is completely beyond my understanding.

Doc, I’m glad to hear you say good things about PAAS which I bought for 2.50 after the crash of 2008. I think it ‘s going to 100 one day. CDE@8.88 today looks really cheap, down from 75.

    Hi Doc,
I just wondered how you used the bollinger bands- do you use them to trade – sell once it goes outside the upper band and buy if it goes below the lower band. thanks clare

      Feb 17, 2017 17:50 PM

Hi, Clare. Currently, I’m not trading. I’m in for the long haul. As far as the BBs are concerned: if I hold a stock and want to increase my position I’ll often add a little more on a pullback to the lower BB. If the stock then works its’ way even lower, I’ll then add again when the momentum indicators (RSI and MACD) bottom or start to turn up.

        Feb 17, 2017 17:53 PM

If I want to take profits, I may sell when the upper BBs are confronted especially if the momentum indicators are in overbought territory—this would apply on the weekly charts.

          Feb 17, 2017 17:56 PM

A lot of the PM stocks are pushing the upper BBs on the weekly charts. I believe most of the pricing won’t break higher but instead will pull back to continue sideways to down in their trading ranges defined by the upper and lower BBs.

    Feb 17, 2017 17:24 PM

    thank you.
