JUST IN: Weather Channel Founder Backs Trump, Tells The TRUTH About Global Warming…

President Donald Trump has been excoriated for his decision to have the United States exit the Paris Climate Accord.

However, one very influential man — John Coleman, founder of the Weather Channel — has his back.

Well, this is no surprise to me. I never believed it and took the time to find the data that proved my assertion. Of course, anytime I opened my mouth and expressed this viewpoint, I was attacked by literally everybody in the room. So, I decided to save my breath and gave up trying to orient the masses to reality.

A little refresher on how North Korea obtained Nuclear Technology.
Perhaps Mr T and Big Al would care to elaborate what they feel would be acceptable casualty numbers for the North Koreans in the event of Military action.
Perhaps Mr T and Big Al would care to elaborate what they feel would be acceptable casualty numbers for the South Koreans if Kim were to retaliate against the South ?
Last weekend was memorial day,It would have been nice to hear someone from the KE Report report recognize those who gave their lives so we all can enjoy the freedom we do.
It’s one thing to say we should attack another country. It’s another thing to have your relative come home in a casket, or die in a V A Hospital.

Too think that you can have a war with North Korea and eventually unify The Korean peninsula is a joke. Are you guys serious, don’t you understand that this time nuclear weapons will be in play and when the dust settles from the nuclear fallout any industry that is left in South Korea, or North Korea will be contaminated and useless. Japan will also experience a possible second attack on their homeland from nuclear weapons. You guys sound like kids playing in the sand, this will be a terrible war with ten’s of millions dead or wounded. China will not have a trading partner in Korea for a longtime. The fallout will also travel to Russia, China and many other parts of the World.

      Jun 04, 2017 04:04 AM

      DT:

We fought North Korea for three years between 1950 and 1953 and flattened the entire country without defeating them. The only difference this time is that it will go nuclear and we will get flattened.

No one wins any war. The only thing that happens is that one side loses more than the other. If you want to change North Korea, you need to drag them to the table to sit down and talk.

I do hope all those nice people on the carriers understand that once China enters the war their life span is about as long as a battleship at Pearl Harbor.

        Jun 04, 2017 04:35 AM

You are absolutely right Bob M, the other thing that escapes Al, Cory, Chris, and many other posters is this situation was caused in large part by The US, they partitioned Korea at the end of the war and they have had almost 65 years to negotiate a treaty but have steadfastly refused. What goes around comes around only this time the repercussions are much more serious.
Remember the court marshal of General Billy Mitchell, who warned the US that one airplane could destroy their latest and greatest battleship shortly after The First World War. He was laughed at and demoted and then finally given the chop. This time an aircraft carrier can be easily taken out with one missile but you know they won’t use one they will fire many at the same time from all angles. It’s useless trying to tell them, the Billy Mitchell story is about to be repeated. DT

          Jun 04, 2017 04:56 AM

This whole Korean situation reminds me of The British, they created Israel and then they walked away from the problem. Problems have a way of reappearing because they were ignored.

          Jun 04, 2017 04:19 AM

          DT:

The Billy Mitchell story is about to be retold three times.

I suspect few on this board understand this but the US under the Clinton administration came to an agreement with the North Koreans that GW Bush refused to comply with for political reasons. The US has a nasty habit of creating their own problems. Trump is a Chicken Hawk and they are always most eager to have your kids killed.

But mark my words, there is not any military solution that doesn’t do far more damage to the US than to NK.

            Jun 04, 2017 04:35 AM

BM: What is also a big problem is the people on this site are fairly well educated, and most don’t get it. The populace at large is another story called “the media.” Does anyone really expect humans as a species to endure. DT

            Jun 04, 2017 04:17 PM

            DT:

I’m glad I’m old. We are on the edge of a dismal future and I fear greatly for the future of the US. The media controls how people believe and the number who can actually think for themselves gets smaller every day.

It takes Putin to ask, “Do you realize what you have done?”

            DT and BM,

I’m with you. I found the commentary on the other thread this weekend most discouraging. It looks to me like it will be as easy as ever to whip Americans into wars with Iran and Russia, as well as NK, and they’ll tell themselves they’re fighting for Christianity and Freedom.

Only the other side ever has fanatics.

    Jun 04, 2017 04:15 AM

Very interesting thoughts from Chris Temple. Perhaps we should be all buying up all those base metal commodity stocks whilst cheap if the US and China are ‘in partnership’?

I assume the ultimate ambition of China is world dominance.

One has to wonder if China would be delighted to see the US self-destruct.
China gains if would public opinion turns against the US.
China gains if the US wastes its military power.
China gains if the US economy and dollar slowly decline, because the ability of he US militarily will follow suit.

As a retired US Army National Guard officer, Signal Corps, I do have to opine on this matter.

When I was in Officer’s Basic Course in 1997, the graduates were given three choices:
    1.) South Korea
    2.) Fort Huachuca, AZ
3.) Regular Army slot (as needs demanded)

Being a Reservist, I got to go home back to my unit.

But my opinion on North Korea would be one of containment and denial. Let Kim Jong-un fire his rockets. I would reply by allowing anti-missile Naval ships in the Sea of Japan and Korean Strait “open season” to hone their counterfire skills.

China will never allow the US a border state touching their territory. They still believe in the 19th Century air-land-sea strategy of “buffer states” between the enemy and the homeland, same as the old USSR. The problem is Kim Jong-un as a dictator wants as much attention as heads of much larger geopolitical states. Neither should America do the bidding of central bankers trying to establish yet one more central bank in a new country. Economic embargoes and military technological superiority should be enough to stalemate another generation.

      Jun 04, 2017 04:11 PM

Back in the day, Ft. Huachuca, AZ was ‘cook school’ I believe………..and from a replacement point of view, Korea was much preferred over Vietnam.

        Jun 05, 2017 05:39 AM

I’d take Arizona over Korea or Nam.

As long as war is glorified and vets are treated as heroes we’ll have young men & women with undeveloped minds (mostly) willing to join the ranks and the chicken-hawks can send them off to war. The survivors will return with PTSD and appendages missing and forever fight the war within themselves to overcome the stresses they’ll endure the rest of their lives………Oh, what a future. No one, who hasn’t been there him or herself should have the right to command others into war! That was Johnson’s problem, Clinton’s problem and Bush II’s problem and we are now facing the same possibilities with trump! JMO.

      Jun 04, 2017 04:45 PM

In agree entirely with your post and wish I wrote it myself! These vets have been encouraged to sign up by the “hero” status imputed to all military personal, but in reality they are mercenaries that do the bidding of mostly corrupt politicians. I do however admire the virtue of courage that they display in the terrible circumstances that they often have to endure.

      Jun 04, 2017 04:59 PM

Silverdollar, I have to agree………congressmen and presidents should be the first on the line.

      Jun 04, 2017 04:49 PM

      Silverdollar :
Not all people join the military seeking hero status. Having been an honorably discharged veteran myself,I speak from experience.
A great many of veterans serving today are there because the military provided an employment opportunity. In the enlisted ranks you will find a greater number of minorities. As usual the most economically challenged will pay the largest price. That being said, todays military is a voluntary force and no one forces you to sign your name. You must always be accountable for your actions.
The men and women serving in todays Military today are a lot like Policemen. Everybody seems to take them for granted until they are needed.
Read my post above, the Military men I was referring to didn’t sign their name, they were drafted. They didn’t run to Canada, they didn’t get the chance to hide out in the National Guard,They weren’t in England on a College deferment, then weasel out on their Military Service upon returning to the U.S.These men Silverdollar are the heroes.
These men will always be heroes.
All gave some, some gave all.
      RIP

        Jun 05, 2017 05:14 AM

        JohnK:
My apologies if my post offended any veteran. I certainly understand why many join for the employment opportunities. I had HS friends who joined the Navy and Air Force due to the retirement benefits. Finish at 38 with a pension and then begin another life. It worked for many. Majority of my HS friends joint the NG to escape the draft. It was a joke unit in the ’60s with one weekend a month at the armory and two weeks each summer in the desert. I had other aspirations and was drafted at 24. The old man in every unit I served with. I still believe the draft was the best system provided they got rid of all the deferments.
I agree with your definition of heroes John. Peace be with you and others like you.

    Jun 04, 2017 04:25 PM

Excellent discussion. China hasn’t been issuing any warnings to trump not to try to bring NK into line. Wild card is how will Kim Jong Un respond? If he uses all that firepower with 25 miles of Seoul, Inchon harbor will once again be red with blood. There will be consequences, as always……….. Perhaps we should pray, but I’m not sure God wants a part in this drama……..

Leave North Korea alone. Period. Stop the BS military exercises that are in your face provocations that only play into militarists hands on all sides.

Somebody (hint, hint US) wants a “short victorious war”.

I would point these idiots to the originator of this “glorious” idea: Before his death at the hands of an assassin, V.K. Plehve, the Russian Minister of the Interior, had been heard to say: “”What this country needs is a short victorious war to stem the tide of revolution.” Kind of sounds like what is happening in America now, if you think about it.

This is from: THE SHORT VICTORIOUS WAR: The Russo-Japanese Conflict of 1904-5 where Russia got its ass kicked and led to the fall of tsarist Russia.

I agree with the comments of Moriarty and Dick Tracy.

Enough……… before I get carried away.
