Big Al always totes these people’s Military Record. I am an Honorably discharged Veteran.
At my last duty station ,three of my Supervisors with at least 8 years of service were leaving the Military.One had 12 years and only 8 years until a pension.
They had become so disgusted with Chain of Command,they were electing not to reenlist.
Basically what they said was that the Military was no longer being led by men of character,but rather those who had no problem keeping their mouth shut and bending over and taking it like a good soldier.
While in the service during peace time,the only way to make rank was by academic proficiency tests. Tests don’t determine leaders.My leaders were leaving and so was I.
Those that have never served in the Military are so blinded when they see a uniform.Those of us who have served know better.
That is why the Government knows the first ones to rise up in a time of crisis will be the Veterans.
Every time someone tries to parade a veteran to me I say Really?
