Beautiful Hope

December 17, 2017

I am currently reading a book called “beautiful HOPE – Finding Hope Every Day in a Broken World” and I thought it would be appropriate to share this following brief introduction with you:

“We live in a Culture that produces hopelessness with astounding consistency. When everything seems chaotic and we are faced with a multitude of negative realities, we might be tempted to say that nothing makes sense anymore. But we are not alone – God walks with us and His presence fills us with hope. Because of this we are able to smile in the midst of our difficulties. Despair is defeated because God is with us. Hope does not disappoint.”

I would like to know what your opinions are about this thought and I will be back on the Forum, later today as we are headed to Seattle to visit our children and grandchildren and then have dinner with My brother in law; my sister in law and nephew.

Thanks for the uplifting thought of the day Big Al.

The great things is that we control our reactions to the world around us. At any point we can find happiness in the smallest things in daily life, and good cheer and love with those that immediately surround us. Ever upward!

things = thing. Keep the main thing, the main thing. Love is the answer.

Somewhere in the Bible: Do you see a man wise in his own eyes? I tell you , there is more hope for a fool!

    Sounds right to me, Al.

Though you may take my typically biting commentary as being grounded in a loss of hope, it is just the opposite. If I thought things were hopeless I would just try to make some money and bite my tongue.

Proverbs 26:12. Conceit and pride are the basis for all other sins. If left unharnessed in the heart, a person’s pride and self-sufficiency will play right into Satan’s hands, bringing his or her downfall.

It is written: answered prayer mandates a counter-attack to drain the swamp. (That’s all folks!)
