With the pop in silver yesterday lots of people are pointing to the silver price and saying I told you price would rise. Based on the recent CoT reports there is was reason to expect silver to bounce but it still has yet to break any of the recent lower highs. Brien Lundin joins me to discuss the recent pop and what other factors he sees driving price down the road.

There is something going on and it is called the Grand Solar Minimum which is affecting weather cycles and it also affects the production of grain;. Parts of the Midwest are experiencing the coldest April since recorded temps were observed. Minneapolis Minnesota received two feet of snow this past weekend. Record snowfalls are being set in places like Pennsylvania and Montana.
All this cold weather and snow have the farmers on hold waiting to work their fields and plant their crops.
Last fall in Minnesota was extremely cold, with a early winter.
Crop production especially corn and soybeans are going to be challenged.

I will also add that when President Trump sat down with the Industry giants, Bayer, ( I G Farben) was in the process of acquiring Monsanto at the time.
I really questioned the President’s knowledge of I B Farben. He sounded clueless.
IG Farben built Auschwitz, the largest industrial complex known in Europe for manufacturing chemicals, explosives, and exterminating millions of Jews.
I know, that was so yesterday.

$silver daily chart looks perfect. I would expect potentially 1-2 more trading days of chopping around sideways based on price still being above the upper bollinger band. Would like to see the closing price not drop significantly below the 3 day EMA going forward to keep the upward momentum going.

In light of silvers recent prolice action, I will be interested to see how it reacts when gold likely retraces after another failed attempted breakout.

        Apr 19, 2018 19:27 PM

Gold may not fail this time.

          Apr 19, 2018 19:32 PM

It may not, but its more likely to turn down.

    For the record:
Specs were short once in 2003,
    Once in 2002
    5 times in 2001
This is more short than the last peak shortness in 2001.

The relative production of silver to gold is currently about 9:1, so in a free market one would normally anticipate the relative price of gold/silver to trend towards 9.

Thus in a free market dependent only on supply and not amounts in storage, either gold is over-priced or silver is under-priced.

If one looks at stored quantities, silver would appear to be incredibly under-priced.

      Apr 19, 2018 19:56 PM

It has been under priced for the last decade……or longer..
I still go by the info in silver stealer.net……..it is an inside game, political game of insiders which has not change for 100 yrs. or longer.

Ok, maybe I am getting too greedy, but it’s possible $hui makes a move for the 200 day MA tommorow. Would be great if we tacked on 5-10 pts tomorrow. The weekly candle would like stellar.
