I think you all have heard how slow the resource investment conference was that I attended this week. If not please listen to the editorials on Wednesday with Chris Temple and David Erfle. To contrast the attendance at that show I chatted with Valentin Shmid, Business Editor at The Epoch Times, who attended a cryptocurrency conference in New York. The conference was packed but Valentin had some interesting comments about the people who were attending and exhibiting.

I made the decision to start a resource site in early 2001 after I went to a mining conference in Miami that was so deserted that you could have been blindfolded and hurled a bowling ball in any direction and hit no one. That’s the time to invest, when everyone hates the sector and it’s boring beyond belief.
The 1835 bitcons are doing nothing more than selling FOMO. And that may be the worst reason ever to invest in any sector. When the people peddling the crap are just as ignorant as the chumps buying the crap, that’s a top, not a time to invest.
This will go down as the biggest shell game in economic history. No one has ever been able to explain to me economic value to any of it.
Can bitcons be traded and you make money? Yes. But taking close up pictures of the volcano in Hawaii may be pretty but you want to step well back before the explosion.
Bob, you may have 2-3% of Boomers invested in cryptos. These blockchain companies are going to take over the banking, medical, shipping and every other sector. That is why the banks and Dow heavy weights are getting behind it.

China ranked cryptocurrencies and Ethereum came out on top — but bitcoin was only 13th
Ethereum ranked top cryptocurrency in first analysis of crypto blockchains by the Chinese government. Bitcoin only 13th in the ranking.
The new index assesses technological capability, usefulness, and innovativeness of crypto blockchains.

It seems everyone wants a chunk of crypto system with a couple of news articles being sent out like the Federal Reserve’s new name for their experiment by calling it the FedCoin (cashless dollar?).
