Fox host threatens to run against ‘disgraceful’ GOP senator after Kavanaugh vote

Fox News host Laura Ingraham mused about running against the one Republican senator who voted against moving forward on Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court nomination on Friday — and former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin weighed in, too.

Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska broke with her party on the vote, and had been one of a handful of GOP senators who was on the fence about Kavanaugh’s nomination. Only one Democrat, Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia, voted to advance the nomination.

There has been a change in morals and manners in our society. A formidable barrier between the sexes has broken down. The fact that men in power can no longer bully women into accepting their sexual advances will improve the quality of life for everyone. The Harvey Weinstein’s and Bill Cosby’s of this world have taught us all that the rights of women still need to be improved before we can have equality of the sexes. At some point men will realize that we can get along with are female counterparts and enjoy a night of drinking and conversation without expecting women to submit to their sexual advances. That is a change for the better. DT

are should be our female counterparts

Is Kavanaugh guilty or not, will probably never be definitely determined, although no one can read his ideas in court and any writing that he has done without doubting if justice has been done. What should be important is whether the test of a countries civilization protects it’s most vulnerable not it’s most advantaged. When a bull market is in full swing prosperity gives radicalism a coup de grace, but when the pendulum turns people will not know whether they are conservatives or liberals. It just won’t matter. DT

MTF, Nancy Pelosi can be a big fish in a government job but in the real world she would only be a swimmer trying to stay afloat. I have worked in both world’s and the difference just amazes me. DT

The republicans finally grew a pair. Any other president would have folded like a wet blanket and asked the judge to step aside. Trump is amazing. He has the hide of a pachyderm. Republicans have in the past backed off whenever dimocrats intimidate and destroy people. Trump has taught the lesson that you do not back down to a bully. Maybe they’re going to have to slide into the cesspool with the democrats in order to show they’re not going to take it in the future. The dimocratic party needs to be destroyed so something resembling some integrity emerges from their cesspool; the Donald is already reforming the republican party and putting his stamp on it. If he is able to stay in place for 6 more years, the republican party will be a totally different animal.

      Oct 07, 2018 07:48 AM

Trump is a very tough guy, anyone who can survive and prosper in The New York construction world is proof. Just imagine having to deal with the mob and all the other cast of characters on the take, surviving in a government job pales in comparison. DT

Let’s see the college records of the phony Obama……..

        Oct 07, 2018 07:44 AM

The FBI should check the college records of the traitor Obama, and also reopen the Vince Foster murder case which Janet Reno botched, and look into the fraud at the Clinton Foundation.

    Oct 07, 2018 07:38 PM

Egon is right about the Reagan years:
“This was Keynesian economics at its best. Borrow and spend and then borrow some more and spend that too. This is when the era of the rich getting richer started in earnest with wealth concentration benefitting an ever decreasing part of the population.” https://kingworldnews.com/greyerz-a-world-on-the-cusp-of-a-crisis/
    ——-
For those who don’t know, Keynesian economics is a tool of the left and the opposite of capitalism*. Wealth will continue to concentrate in fewer and fewer hands as long as the sheeple keep themselves ignorant about economics and continue to support Keynesian presidents like Obama AND Trump.

*Capitalism is a social system based on the principle of individual rights. Politically, it is the system of laissez-faire (freedom). Legally it is a system of objective law (rule of law as opposed to rule of man). Economically, when such freedom is applied to the sphere of production its result is the free-market.

Capitalism is the system of progress; statism is the system of plunder
The alleged failures of capitalism are actually caused by the success of statism.
“A statist is a man who believes that some men have the right to force, coerce, enslave, rob, and murder others. To be put into practice, this belief has to be implemented by the political doctrine that the government—the state—has the right to initiate the use of physical force against its citizens. How often force is to be used, against whom, to what extent, for what purpose and for whose benefit, are irrelevant questions. The basic principle and the ultimate results of all statist doctrines are the same: dictatorship and destruction. The rest is only a matter of time.” — AYN RAND

      Oct 07, 2018 07:41 PM

I am “team Mises” but most of what Rand said was perfectly sound…

I tell you Matthew, the corruption is systemic. In fact, it’s to the point where people no longer recognize corruption because it is so ingrained.

This is the biggest debt bubble in history and I think it will lead to catastrophe. And when that happens the sheeple will demand that the gooberment take even more control of society and of course that means their lives.

How do you see the future unfolding and what time lines do you have?

        Oct 07, 2018 07:49 PM

Ebolan, it’s been a long catastrophe already but people are as resilient as they are ignorant so most don’t see it.
I expect an acceleration in individual rights violations and the destruction of living standards from here, but do not have time lines that would be anything more than a guess.
Some think that the planners want a quick and traumatic collapse but I think they can get a lot more done by dragging it out for as long as they can. So they’ll do their best to keep the masses smiling and distracted as their pockets are picked clean and the system circles the bowl.

“people no longer recognize corruption because it is so ingrained.” – Very insightful comment, Ebolan.

Matthew, I hope you’re right about dragging it out, as I still have some prepping to do!

          Oct 08, 2018 08:03 AM

If you corrupt the money you corrupt the people, end of story. The U.S. has become an idiocracy thanks to its two left wing parties. The sheeple no longer know up from down nor right from wrong.

    Oct 07, 2018 07:25 PM

The White House is isolated. The official community in the capital wants no relation with The President. The iron gates are closed and protected and Trump labors on much like a CEO of a troubled corporation. It is bound to take something away from his authority but he still shows a grasp of subjects that he must deal with. DT

      Oct 07, 2018 07:29 PM

If Hillary and Bill had to deal with the opposition that Trump faces they would probably be in bed on life support. LOL! DT

    Oct 07, 2018 07:41 PM

I really can’t remember a time until you go back to 1963 when America had a President that was loved by the populace like JFK. He had his faults but in those days The President was revered and people treated the position with respect. That being said JFK was brutally murdered. What sort of a society have we had for a long time. The Vietnam War destroyed American society and it has never recovered. DT

      Oct 07, 2018 07:04 PM

We can thank the power mad psychopath LBJ for the murder of JFK and for the Viet Nam war and for taking silver out of our currency. And all the media in 1964 tried to paint Barry Goldwater as the lunatic. He was our last hope.

        GH
        Oct 08, 2018 08:55 AM

LBJ was certainly one of our worst presidents, but I doubt ultimate responsibility for JFK can be laid at his feet.

Michael Collins Piper presents a perspective that more should consider:

Final Judgment: The Missing Link In The JFK Assassination Conspiracy By Michael Collins Piper (2005)

          Oct 08, 2018 08:06 AM

You should read Barr McClellan’s “Blood, Money, and Power” if you want to know why LBJ killed JFK and why J.Edgar Hoover helped in the coverup. Jackie had friends in French intelligence who told her that LBJ was behind it. The KGB also thought it was LBJ. E.Howard Hunt confessed on his deathbed that he was on the team that killed JFK. You can hear his confession on youtube.com He also blames LBJ. Jack Ruby also implicated LBJ when asked who was behind the murder. He said, “Look to the top.” You can see LBJ duck down behind his seat in his convertible several seconds before the shots were fired. He did not pull Ladybird down to safety either.

Kavanaugh–I haven’t been very tuned into the news lately. What’s the REAL dirt on him, or is there any? Corporate shill, or real American, for instance?

      Oct 08, 2018 08:08 AM

He is on record as calling the PATRIOT Act “careful,” “measured,” and even “constitutional.”
There’s nothing conservative or “right” about the guy.
      https://americanvision.org/16905/opposition-to-kavanaugh-on-the-constitution/

        Oct 08, 2018 08:56 AM

Matthew, I was concerned about this too. But Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, and Sen Lee of UT, who are the senators who revere our Constitution more than the rest combined, all supported Kavanaugh, so maybe he will be OK. I learned that Colt is making a .38 special+P snubbie revolver again, but it weighs 25 oz and costs $700. It holds 6 rounds. The Ruger SP101 also weighs 25 oz but holds just 5 rounds, but can fire .357 mag as well as .38. I am leaning toward the LCR .22 LR that weighs 15 oz and holds 8 rounds, but want to do more research.

          Oct 08, 2018 08:17 AM

Yes, he probably made a deal with Rand for his support but the Patriot Act is already here and in effect.
A 15 oz carry gun is appealing. As long as you have confidence with the .22, it will work fine.

        Oct 08, 2018 08:41 AM

Not reassuring. Hopefully he was just playing politics.

I think I’m grateful it’s him and not Garland in any case.

Leftist Pavlovian dogs attack, Rightist morons circle wagons, confirmation proceeds with no substantive issues being addressed. Perfect.

        Oct 08, 2018 08:43 AM

        Matt:

He’s a card carrying member of the deep state. He may be better than who he replaces but we need to drain the swamp, not add algae.

Rand Paul is not Ron Paul and Cruz is twit. I don’t know about Lee.

          Oct 08, 2018 08:57 AM

I think Mike Lee of Utah would make a fine supreme court justice. So would Mark Levin and Judge Jeannine. Let’s hope Ruth Buzzy Ginsberg will be gone soon.

          Oct 08, 2018 08:19 AM

          Bob, I agree.

    Oct 08, 2018 08:48 AM

imo Trump is deep state, he hasnt shown otherwise yet.

Kavanaugh was all for show, the question is what didnt they want people looking at?

    Oct 09, 2018 09:35 AM

I carry the LCR ruger 38+P. Using a Talon inside the belt holster. Love it. Note that when pulling trigger on a rapid fire sequence, if one does not fully release trigger it will not rotate to the next round. It holds 5 rounds. It packs a wallop and you will know you have done something by the end of shooting 50 rounds at the range. Some good Youtube demos are available of course.
