The Greenspan years were an extraordinary economic and social phenomenon caused by the wholesale printing of fiat currency. It changed the very fabric of American society. Interesting CFS, I never thought that Federal Income Taxes were that onerous. There was a time when were were paying SIGNIFICANT TAXES and my attitude then was simple “if you want to be part of the country club you have to pay the dues” At the time I had little if any desire to leave the U.S. and today I realize that by doing that you really don’t save significant dollars unless you renounce your citizenship which I still, as angry as I get, don’t want to do because I believe that all of us here, as a team, can make a bit of a difference.

Here in the Northwest we had a record number of 911 outages yesterday.
I’m in So. Oregon and had no occasion to use 911, but Thurs. early evening I started having trouble with data download speeds, big time. It lasted for two days. I did a lot of speedtests on my router and the numbers were abysmal (getting 0.25 down, supposed to be 100mb – with Charter Spectrum). Now I know what that was about. And Oregon did report 911 outages.

Funny thing Al you would ask me to comment on Mr Churchill as I just returned from a walking tour aboard the USS Lexington. I was sitting down listening to a December 8th radio broadcast of FDR declaring war on the Japanese,trying to imagine what it must have been like at the time.
I will concur with you Al that Mr Churchill was an effective leader from what I have read also. I am away from my home base and I don’t have access to my notes. I read the books and do an overview on them so I can go back and review.The one book that comes to mind was “Churchill and the Jews”, you can take it from there.
I think there are some similarities that President Trump and Mr Churchill, and the financial situation they find them selves in as leaders.The British were an Imperial power over extended and weakened by war much like the U.S finds itself in as well.

I think it is good but what is really needed are more effective ways for us to act on the real (not fake) news in an effective way to force change.
Look for an editorial today to discuss this as I do have some ideas.
It’s hard to effect change but your most bang for the buck usually is at the local level, for instance working with organizations like Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association to fight local and state tax increases.
It is kind of interesting that both Sputnik News and RT News are blasting the west with negative comments about its society.
As long as one always remembers the inherent bias, RT is still an excellent source of news, which is not presented at all by US media. (Ignore the opinionated commentary and observe the facts and occurences; valid for both RT and US news.
