My experience has been totally different. We live outside a small town Both my wife and I have had significant medical challenges since 1915 and neither of us would be alive IF it were not for our local medical community.
Irish, I have 7 moringa oleifera trees growing here in California and consume about 20 leaves a day, for the last 3 years. I have no idea if that is a correct dose or not. As far as I know, I am cancer free at this moment, having had a significant problem with cancer for almost 20 years and 2 major surgeries. (One removing about 20% of my brain to get at the cancer.) I have noticed no side effects from the moringa, and the only time I have had any medical problems in the last 3 years was after a month of not taking moringa while I was travelling in Australia/ New Zealand. This is all one person’s anecdotal experience and I truly cannot say it is helped anything; only that it has certainly not hurt me, as far as I know. The only warning I would give, is that moringa does lower blood pressure and one has to monitor that carefully for stability. On my regular intake of moringa, I don’t need any blood pressure medication…..without moringa I have to take 5 or 10 mg of lisinopril or equivalent per day, to keep my pressure at about 120 over 75.
By “leaf” of moringa, I’m talking about an almost circular area, less than 1 cm diameter, not the whole leaflet structure of stalk plus a dozen or so 1 cm leaves.

Prior to 1900 the average age in California was 47, filth killed most people. Longer life spans have meant more heart disease, cancer, and diabetes.

Larry, in general I agree with a lot of what you say especially that it is over-priced and under-delivers on many of it’s claims. My ‘however’ though is that ‘science’ is also what improved neonatal care and treatments such as antibiotics, while often misused, can make the difference between life and death.
The introduction of antibiotics, essentially at WWII time, has significantly effected life expectancy.

The reason the U.S. Stock market is going up is because of two things:
a. The US economy is the strongest in the world thanks to Trump’s policies.
b. The Fed has been creating liquidity.
Not only is new money created in the U.S. going mostly into the stock market, but that (rising stocks) is pulling in investment money from the rest of the world.
That is why the dollar is going up.
Neither the rise in the stock market, nor the rise in the dollar has anything primarily to do with China trade.
This situation will continue, until it doesn’t. (Probably longer than most think.)
It is only when the stock market seriously drops that there will be a safe haven movement……then gold might rise, with other price rises.
