Brian Leni - Founder of Junior Stock Review – Mon 25 Nov, 2019

It’s time to get your tax loss selling hit list ready – Here’s what we are considering for Zinc Stocks

As we approach the end of the year and tax loss selling continues for some of the under performing stocks and sectors it can be very profitable having a list of companies you like and will buy in the next couple weeks. We focus on the zinc sector today which is an area where stocks have had a tough year and is susceptible to further selling into year end. I get Brien to comment on what he is looking for in terms of economic studies and potential company drivers heading into next year.

Good segment on poaching the oversold and beat up Zinc market.

I still have a healthy position building in (TV) Trevali because it is a producer with 4 mines turning it’s operations around, and paying down huge amounts of debt quarter after quarter so they’ll be cashflowing in 2020. If Zinc prices rise into the $1.25 – $1.50 range, it would be a real shot in the arm for them.

(HER) Heron Resources just got into production of Zinc/Copper afer years of stalls, so they are the newest producer on the block in Australia.

(SVM) Silvercorp and (USAS) Americas Gold & Silver have a reasonably large exposure to Zinc/Lead in addition to Silver/Gold, so the prices rising will help their margins.

As for explorers/developers, I’ve been adding to (CD) Cantex as it sold down hard recently, and believe it will rise once again.

I still have beat up positions in (TK) Tinka, (ZNX) ZincX, (VTT) Vendetta, and (CNX) Callinex.

Considering adding (FWZ) Fireweed, (ASND) Ascendant, and (FOM) Foran.

    Cheers!

Thanks very much Ex for sharing your related holdings in detail. It is always much appreciated, especially when you indicate the ones you own that a bit beat up. And, the ones under consideration!

Thanks Canucksi – always happy to discuss miners in any of the metals, the good, the bad, and the ugly. 🙂

        Ever Upward!
